Excellent commentary. I've owned and used an FT1 since 2018 and think it's one of the best functional trainers available, especially given its relatively low selling price and almost maintenance-free design. My only criticism of it has been its height, which means that the top pulley position (30) is way too low for taller uses (6 foot and over) who want to perform lat pulldowns and other overhead movements. Just saw a video on the new Inspire Fitness CFT. It looks very much like the FT1, but is taller and beefier and purportedly designed to withstand commercial type use. The CFT also has four extra pulley connection points above the 30 level.

awesome review.....could you guys do a video on the M3 gym thats right next to the FT1 an updated one please . I am very interested to see a demo trying to decide between the two or maybe get both.....thx
Can you use the bench that comes with the FT2 on the FT1? I would like to do leg curls with this machine as well.
