Chris Jones seems like such a nice, respectful and thoughtful gentlemen. I have liked his bob hairstyles for a while and have saved many on Pinterest to take to my salon. You can never go wrong with a bob. It would be worth the 45 minute drive just to have someone so talented and down to earth do your hair. I can't wait to see the end result once your layers in the back grow out. I love the color and that shade of blonde makes hazel eyes pop!

Chris is the exception. He has a talent and skill to get colour and cut right!! Not many can do this. It’s normally a conveyor belt of everyday colour and cut, with no real insight into individual styles? It’s hugely important to distinguish between cool and warm tones. This just makes me want to cry. I can’t even watch this “ how to leave the salon with what you want”. Yesterday makes the latest gut- punching trip to a salon,one of the best in my city. Brought photos clearly showing the inverted bob I’ve had for years to a veteran stylist. It’s not an avant-garde cut anymore!! What I left the salon with is nothing close, not even the length I specifically asked for, which was more than doable. I am so sick of the dishonesty of stylists who, rather than say, I’m so sorry, that cut is not a strength of mine, they give you their poor approximation. $215 wasted except for the nice colour. I don’t know what more i can do.🤬
I know what you mean girl. The last time I went to a salon I came out with the hair cut of a man and I told her " please don't cut it really short, I don't want to look like a man" that's exactly what I got- a man's haircut 😞😖
Do you have a friend or work colleague with a cool style you like, I always get stylist recommendations from people I have asked - “ who does you hair?” And it has pretty much always worked well for me. Also a lot of salons showcase their work on Instagram, maybe check what cuts or colours they showcase on there to help you decide if you like their style of cutting and colouring, maybe show them a pic of what they’ve done on another client of theirs and see if it might be suitable on your hair type? Good luck and hope you find a stylist who can put that spring in your step when you walk out of their salon.

As a stylist I would say that honesty is the best policy. People need change and we understand that. The hardest part of losing a client is that we often lose a friend. Keep the friendship even if you make a change, that way we all win :)

INTENTIONAL AND NOT TRANSITIONAL! Probably many hairdressers will understand but mostly will not be able TO DO IT! This just makes me want to cry. I can’t even watch this “ how to leave the salon with what you want”.
Yesterday makes the latest gut- punching trip to a salon,one of the best in my city. Brought photos clearly showing the inverted bob I’ve had for years to a veteran stylist. It’s not an avant-garde cut anymore!! What I left the salon with is nothing close, not even the length I specifically asked for, which was more than doable.
I am so sick of the dishonesty of stylists who, rather than say, I’m so sorry, that cut is not a strength of mine, they give you their poor approximation. $215 wasted except for the nice colour. I don’t know what more i can do.🤬

I know what you mean girl. The last time I went to a salon I came out with the hair cut of a man and I told her " please don't cut it really short, I don't want to look like a man" that's exactly what I got- a man's haircut 😞😖

Do you have a friend or work colleague with a cool style you like, I always get stylist recommendations from people I have asked - “ who does you hair?” And it has pretty much always worked well for me. Also a lot of salons showcase their work on Instagram, maybe check what cuts or colours they showcase on there to help you decide if you like their style of cutting and colouring, maybe show them a pic of what they’ve done on another client of theirs and see if it might be suitable on your hair type? Good luck and hope you find a stylist who can put that spring in your step when you walk out of their salon.
I love Chris Jones! he really knows waht he is doing, wish I could get my hair done by him..I have had the WORST haircut ever 2 months ago, and it still looks like caca..no joke..will take a year to grow out ..wahhhhh...love your new color!

@@ellie1461 I don't know. Chris seemed nice and all that, but Ceron seems like he'd be a hoot to get your hair cut by. He's got oodles of personality. I'm sure Dominique thinks so too!

Love what he did with your cut and color. I like what he said about taking the classic Bob an gave it a modern touch to it so you look up to date. He’s a very good stylist. And very nice which never gets old. You look great too girlfriend.
My problem is I have a hard time changing stylist. Dominique, maybe you can help in knowing what to say to not hurt our stylist’s feelings

As a stylist I would say that honesty is the best policy. People need change and we understand that. The hardest part of losing a client is that we often lose a friend. Keep the friendship even if you make a change, that way we all win :)

Probably many hairdressers will understand but mostly will not be able TO DO IT!
And if we understand better than them, and explain to the hairdresser we would only make them frustrated and self conscious!

What a great stylist he is! The Bob is a favorite of mine. I noticed in the pictures of his work that the lines are so straight and blunt, exactly what I like. He does beautiful work! Can't wait see your hair length get to that Bob look Dominique!

Color looks great. He is definitely a wonderful stylist and very humble. Not grandiose like some stylists. I do have a wonderful stylist for over 30 years (yikes !) and she is awesome with cut and color. Thanks again for a wonderful video.
