- I'm at awe at the difference in the performance between this attempt and my attempt in the Japanese version. Regardless, this piece of shit Jingu, who's also Haruka's father, is the hardest boss in the game and one of the hardest bosses in the series as a whole. Having the Tiger Drop will help you immensely here, so try and get that before jumping into this fight, and also damage upgrades for the Dragon style will be deadly when using heat actions, so that'll help a LOT as well.

To be fair, he never personally took the shot, all his men did. He didn't give the order either, they just started doing it. Presumably the thing going through his head was "Every idiot who just shot that helicopter will be at the bottom of the bay after this."

This fight was such a piss take to beat. I was about to quit even finishing the game when I remembered a line from Kuze in Yakuza 0 "The man who gets beat down isn't the loser. The guy who can't tough it out to the end, he's the one who loses." Which encouraged me to actually finish the damn battle even though it was genuinely bullshit with his two stupid colonels and the animation after being shot. Thanks Kuze no aniki for being a great character and inspiration.
I didn't give it an honest try in my Legend play through. Just used golden gun, it was fun

I just rage-quite the game for few days after that shithead bombed me with grenades for dozen of times, and you can't even put him down before you beat colonels because his helth stucks at 1 hp and can't go to zero, no matter how many heat actions you pull off.
It was much easier when i came back to this game, found bullet-proof charm, found the blade-protecting gloves, the full inventory of staminian royal and just tiger-dropped trough everything in this last part of the game. It was really, really disappointing after Yakuza 0.

Honestly i did a legend playthru and... it wasnt as bad as i thought
I feel like Jingu is the only Yakuza main villain who is completely evil. Many of the bad guys in the series either have a tragic back story or a legitimate reason for what they're doing (save for Tanimura's boss in Y4), whereas Jingu is just "Yeah, he was a nice dude once, but then he became a politician."

@Ganesh Surendra Fair point. Plus, with the idea he was getting paranoid over Sera going to rat him out and Yumi, it doesn't change the fact he wanted to kill Haruka to remove witnesses too.

I don't know man, if you're an elite soldier trained and fully equipped with guns and grenade but you and all of your team succumb to an angry guy wielding furniture maybe you're not that elite.

If you take the guns of those first M.I.A. goons you fight near the water feature, you can shoot Jingu before the fight starts. His health regenerates before the fight, but shooting Jingu is shooting Jingu.

You know what's even more frustrating? On Easy Jingu just stands still through half of the fight, without even attacking you lol

I just noticed that Kiryu literally fought all these guys and two special forces agents, all the while being wounded, THEN had a full on fight with Nishiki and won. He really was on a whole other level

Yeah, Jingu himself is barely a threat if you corner him by himself, but his two MBI Colonels will give you a harder time while Jingu shoots you.

I just finished the game today (on normal) and I'm gonna say that he wasn't so hard . One toughness emperor was enough for me to get through this fight. Maybe he's harder on hard and legend

Yep. That was me. 2 1/2 weeks to beat 0 on Normal 100%, then I played through Kiwami on Normal. When I fought Jingu, I genuinely had to go check if I had it on Hard or Legend, lol.

The finishing heat move was synced with the music. You dont realise how unintentionally badass you made the final blow look.

It's so hard it feels like it should be a secret boss fight. To beat it you need to invest a lot of time in dragon style to even make it fair

Got to this point with almost no upgrades in the Dragon of Dojima style, saw how hard this boss was, wondered htf I should beat him. I watched this video, saw the insanely overpowered counter move, and spent about 20+ hours going back and upgrading my moveset completely. Came back to it just now and beat him no problem incredibly quickly all thanks to this video.

To be fair I cheated my way out of this one: I bought a couple of standard shotguns and lured them into a cluster formation. If you get the three of them in the same shot you'll get a full heat bar. Then I spammed the heat counter attack

I've been watching a lot of yakuza gameplay because i never played and kiryu is one of my favorite characters in gaming history. Bless the man. The music is top tier stuff too

@@LilyBeta Wellllll..... I completly neglected Majima Everywhere and only got up to a D rank so I just spammed my tauriners and weapons on jingu. And whe that didnt work I just used rush and it took me like 6 tries to beat him

Holy shit this was great to watch, not only did you take out Jingu's body guards quickly the first time with the well timed Tiger Drops but you were able to completely stay out of that double combo barrage they would do. Seriously this was a great recording of Jingu's fight!
Me and my friend laughed so hard when we saw the MIA Colonel's finger twitch, and they both just suddenly get back up after I heat-action spammed them to death with every single weapon I've got.

I disagree, Shibusawa was the most epic fight in the serie. The build-up through the entire game, the music, the double dragons and the ending was legendary. Jingu just pop-up in the last chapters as some kind of generic evil master mind and that's it
I'd also put the yakuza 5 100 men fight, Tanimura final boss, any amon specially Shinada Amon fight in 5 and any Jiro, and ofc Ishin still gets the cherry on top
For some strange reason, getting jumped by the people in the gambling place was the hardest, probably because I forgot to save or get healing items. I just got to say though, the quick timing event that the two MIA Colonels do is probably the most awesome thing ever, it's annoying to avoid but so cool.
Don't mind me, just replaying those legendary syncs at 5:09 and 8:16 as many times as I can.

He stole kiryu's girl, and killed her too, threatend to kill haruka, had sera assassinated, incited nishki, and to top it all off, HAS ONE OF THE CHEAPEST BOSS BATTLE IN VIDEO GAME HISTORY.
Great combos!
These fights become the most fun and challenging battles if you unlock the entire upgrade wheels, including Dragon of dojima

This boss fight was really frustrating, but it also felt really hype. Seeing the two colonels twitch before slowly coming back was way more exciting than I expected. Also just seeing Kiryu beat the crap out of a bunch of military guys with guns and knives with only his fists lol

I wish Kiryu was the 4th Chairman way longer because anytime I hear people say it, it sounds like he served for a long ass time and was their best chairman. It held no real weight in my opinion and they could have put a better title for his intros in later games. It also would have meant more and carried more weight to the story since he wanted to protect what Kazama and Sera handed down to him.

Little did Jingu know that he was being played by Kazama, Yumi, and Sera. And the real mastermind to sell out the Tojo Clan to the Omi Alliance was Akira Nishikiyama.

As a player that rage quiting for god knows how much, i respect the soldier more than Jingu because he's coward.
When I heard about this guy in Kiwami, I was like, "Ok then. How will he handle a Kiryu that was all of his skills and got his Dragon Of Dojima style back?" So I got Kiryu at 100% also got dragon of dojima at 100%. This guy was a rag doll

(Side note: I brought the MJM shotgun with me. Not even kidding, one shot wiped out at least three mooks in one go.

@@meh5308 That was how I played the boss at first, not even knowing about the Tiger Drop spam tactic. At that point I didn't even have the Komaki Firearm Flip! You can imagine how enjoyable that mess was...
I just got through my first defeat at this boss and I was the closest I ever got to throwing my control when I realized I had to go all the way past those damned yellow seargents all the way back to this 3 gun gernade spamming pos.
That's why you bring the bulletproof glass amulet before entering the Millenium tower.
God this fight was pushing me to my limit of my skillls and patience lol.

Indeed, he is the main character you play as in most games.
And in the ones with multiple main characters, he's basically a living legend and is the main MAIN character

Tip: I guess the best strategy for an average Yakuza player on this fight is max on Rush Style + Pummeling bat (you get when reach ss on Majima)
That turned the fight to easier
Honestly, this fight somehow wasn't that bad for me. Jingu's minions ended up resurrecting the second I beat them down, as I went for Jingu, and after beating them down again, I ended up blowing through Jingu's entire health bar without them getting back up. Tiger Drop all the way, but the guards with guns beforehand were more irritating.

What is the move Kiryu used in Dragon Style that completely decimated the one soldiers hp? He hit him with the force of Zeus in the stomach lol.
Tiger drop. You learn it from komaki in purgatory near the fountain and have to give him pictures from underground coloseum near him.
Finally defeated that bastard in a legend playthrough. But with the War God Talisman that I got with the Climax Battles, he wasn't all that impressive. :D

Because I heard this boss was a nightmare, i made sure to prepare by buying like 10 spiked bats. It absolutely rinsed the bodyguards (mostly 😅)

Use the bat with infinite durability. It helped me through the whole last chapter.
