I like that you make a joke while knitting
its fun to alternate this stitch with 4 or 6 garter rows, it pulls in the openings and puffs them out ... i want to make an airy beach top out of some hand dyed cotton yarn I have yet to dye!. This is so well done, thanx.

Ever since your Easy Garter Stitch Chevron tutorial, I've been in a knitting mood, so I really appreciate these knitting ideas. I noticed that you use a helpful cast on technique that I just learned....holding a slight space with your finger between cast on stitches to create better drape for cast on row. Definitely going to try this lacy stitch for a scarf. Thank you!

Thanks for this stitch and the experiment. Thinking of trying this with a bulky yarn, too, just to see what happens! I think I see a scarf that looks "hammocky"!!!
Oh my, the imagination just went crazy here! I'm attempting to get Christmas gifts done... so what do I do? Whip out some graph paper... and start doodling and planning. I'm thinking a smaller weight yarn, possibly a 3... not sure yet, will need to experiment there. Then, inspiration sparked yet again, what if I put either 1 or possibly 2 rows of regular knit stitches in between the drop stitches... hmmm right? That would cause the drop stitches to drape in an oh so lovely loopish way. Now to figure out which yarn and all that jazz... Thank you for the superb spark of inspiration, you rock... as always! My 2 currents WIP's, by the way...you sparked with your tutorials :) Am doing the lovely textured stitch and making a scarf, and the 2nd one... is the swoop knit shawl/shawlette. Will probably be doing numerous slippers, from the slipper tutorial you just did as well, to help fluff out the gifts. :D
Wouldn’t it be so retro-60s to make a long curtain in this pattern and hang it on a tension rod in a doorway between rooms. : D

Looks like a variation of the "Vail stitch" that I learned from "The Principles of Knitting". The only difference is instead of wrapping in only a counter-clockwise direction, you do a "figure 8" as your wrap around the needles, then the second wrap around the first needle, and draw the yarn through. It's the same overall appearance, but I think what you show ends up a little on the loose side.

Looks easy with you doing it. I am not fond of the pattern . And knitting I have a problem with working two neddles at a time.
Faux drop stitch, this is actual extended knit stitch. My reference point is 1980s craft book. I learned it then. There is a drop stitch techniques that adds width and ornament to garment
Mr Spider, what would happen if you 1 wrap, 2 wrap to the end. Then don't stretch it and reverse the 1 wrap, 2 wrap so that it would even out after you stretched it. I wonder if that would work. And can you purl wrap it ??? Just wondering ! If I knew where the gremlins hid my needles when I moved I could answer my own questions. Fortunately I found my crochet hooks! Cheers !
Can you show how to make cherries by chance. Your videos are so easy to follow and understand! I have tried so many times to make cherries with not much success.

Good question, and honestly I'm not sure about increasing or decreasing exactly when using this technique - but I will try and look into it.
You could take 2 stitches together and make 1 stitch and 1 stitch into 2 Just like crochet.
