I am a goblin foraging in the forest. My ears are tickled by the ferns in the farley… I spread my limbs out among the moss, flattening my body against the cool soft Earth. To be absorbed. To become soil, one with the Earth, where my neighbor is the roots and the mycelium talks to me. They are good friends to me. And they sing this song.

I have to say that I find it totally consistent with the plot that Cosmo makes an ft. with Earth Present when his music has always been full of nature.

Just got back from a concert (20th april, 2024), Cosmo told us all the core sound in this song is that when he was traveling with a Mytcologist (mushroom expert) she discovered a Rare New Mushroom, and when she plucked it from the ground to collect it for the species, he jammed a recording device in the hole to capture the sound of where the mushroom was.
Amazing concert, and he's a pretty good story-teller too!
I wish Cosmo would include stories like these in his video descriptions!
He also mentioned it in his introduction to the song in the latest outrage and optimism podcast this week.

That's really cool.
I've only ever been to like, three live concerts including the Cosmo One, and he just nailed the performance.
He was friendly with the audience, and he told stories of his music and how the songs he creates get going as ideas.
I'm glad to hear his podcast is doing the same, yelling those stories ☺️

It's actually kinda funny how I am in awe who's this NATURE collab AURORA have getting herself into. But in Cosmo's work, it's just... him. Then I realise NATURE is already with him the entire career. Probably announcing himself Cosmos this time.
this is healing me in a way I couldn't articulate. I've long had a deep seated fear of my own dying, but a deep connection to nature and its wonder, and something about this just takes some of that existential fear away from me, the thought of just being utterly consumed back into a natural cycle. I have a tendency towards anxiety based around my health/mortality, and this has me looking ways to get involved with campaigns for allowing natural reclamation burials in my location, as a means of processing my own mortality.

I am part of a tribe. We dance in a circle, bare feet hitting the ground as we stomp and sing. We commune with nature. It speaks to us, from the plants to the animals to the very dirt itself. Even the beetles click their jaws along as they join our song. We are happy.

i dont think cosmo sheldrake uses ai, in his previous album he talked about how he sampled marine life sounds for much of his orchestration
