ITS GONNA BE GREAT! your doing so much work Matt and the crew cant wait to see how it all ends ups. gonna be a little bummed when your finished though because the awesome journey is over :)
It's really refreshing to see someone develop a property the correct way. Crushed stone is a valuable asset allowing you create access to wherever you choose. Long-time viewer!
Matt, I love you, and I love your videos. I ‘m a ninety-one year old grandma and have been watching your videos ever since you decided to renovate an old mansion. Watching you renovate the ABANDONED RESORT makes my day. Thank you so much.
you need to consolidate all those little rock piles into 1 or 2 large piles, you'll get water pooling between the piles leaving you with unusable mush, I know from experience :)
Matt. You should sell rock samples from caves/potential caves. As a rock/specimen collector, owning something from a cave on your property would be amazing.
I would agree, but the potential damage to the natural beauty of the caves mildly upsets me. like when they make state parks super accessible and alter waterways to caves.
This is one of my favourite videos you’ve ever done. This bit at the end when 4 friends go off and find caves and chuck rocks at stuff was wholesome AF!
@@MotorSwapDan I’ve been watching Demolition Ranch and then Off The Ranch (now Matt Carriker) for over 10 years. This is just one in a series of hundreds of videos. I get as a new viewer not a lot happened, but there’s so much back ground stuff to catch up on, this just added more to the storyline. Plus the ending reminded me of being a kid again
I would love to come and work for you Matt... You have an amazing attitude to life and fantastic place to realise your dreams.... All the best from New Zealand to you and your family... Also very happy to hear that you are not including your family in the videos anymore.... Privacy is very important and too many people have no respect for it
all of those rock piles and that big oak tree look like a fun place to play if i was a kid again lol. i can imagine playing king of the hill, riding a skateboard deck down the slopes etc.
He cracked me up when he went for views and said he'd put a pool on the roof. When he made the goal a little molded pool showed up on the roof. I couldn't stop laughing.
I still say that you put four poles upright. Two on the left and two on the right ...and then Stack the other poles horizontally in the middle to make a wall. Easier than trying to bury every single pole
That would be a great joke video (or a terrifying reality) to put a GoPro on a long pole and send it far down in to one of those holes... and find an EYE staring back at you! 🐲🕷
It might be tempting to sell off that stockpile of base, but you are going to use it up faster than you think. Parking lot, RV parking spots, new roads, driveways, and trails.
Your progress is truly amazing. Really puts into perspective on how far you've carried yourself as a entrepreneur. I will definitely visit the resort when possible. Really beautiful place! May God continue to bless you on your journey!
We have a lot of caves and caverns in my area also. ( Greenbriar County WV) we have multiple massive cave systems in our area, some of which are very accessible. Lots of stories about farmers finding caves because there tractor tire broke through into them. Organ cave and lost world caverns are some of the most famous.
I start my day with AG1, Lunch and supper are from factor and I protect my house with simply safe while jamming out the day listening to my raycon ear buds. Thanks Matt.
Matt, I have been watching you since the first vet ranch video. I love all the projects you have taken on. I miss Off the Ranch but completely understand why you pulled your family back. At first I thought you were a little crazy when you started the Abandoned Mansion series but was blown away when you and Mere finished it. You have raised the stakes again with the Resort and can hardly wait to see it when it’s done. I will have to come to Texas for the first time when it’s open. Looking very forward to that!
1:24 I saw Mikey again!!! We love him!! Can we have an episode with a Mikey Q&A? Who is Mikey??🤔🤔 How did you meet? What all does he do for the demo team?
Idea for range. After you put up back stop and black dirt plant some trees along the top of the wall. Loving the progression of what you’re doing there. Keep up the great content
@@Irishmayhem89 Little strange that you're this obsessed with his personal life and making shit up. You're part of the reason Mere and the kids aren't in his videos anymore
Matt if you get a tellahandler I would recommend a 8000 so you have cab tilt it really helps. And it never hurts to have more poles than you need for repairs or future expansion.
Hey Matt not to be a know it all but a chain binder works better if you hook each end of your chain to the trailer and take the slack out of the middle of the chain with your binder instead of trying to pull the chain links through your tie down! Thanks for the great videos!
Im sure someone would come out to do ground penetrating radar or electromagnetic surveys for a small shoutout. Great way to see what you have beneath your land :)
Wow. At 8:07, the crusher you are using is from Screen Machine Industries in Etna, Ohio. I worked there as a press/cnc plasma operator back in 2010-2011. Pretty neat to see on UA-cam!!!
One advantage of having a telehandler is that you can also get a bucket attachment to replace the forks. You really should get one. I agree that it would be very useful for you.
JCB, the same manufacturer in your video at 6:45, sells a machine called a "TeleSkid." It's a telehandler but built on a skidsteer, I've wanted one for years.
It's nice to see the progress, little by little. Kinda feel like we're all pseudo-sweating it out with you in the risk sense of what an undertaking this is. Like, any time you mention the operational cost of a this vehicle or that service, it triggers a lil anxiety, which I'm sure is nothing comparatively...but I'm kinda overstepping my boundaries. It feels like a lot of work work work going in, so it's nice to see the little bits of progress and to hear about future events/schemes, the seeds of an awesome resort coming together.
You could get a JCB Teleskid, it is a skid steer with a telescopic boom. They are cheaper than most telehandlers. Really good machines for lighter work, and JCB does work with a lot of farming UA-camrs so they may work out a pretty decent deal for you.
After seeing all those mounds of crushed rock, I got the idea that you could host paintball and airsoft games there, maybe have a post-apocalypse theme.
Would recommend treating that wood with something to prevent some rot or thermites, used motor oil, tar and a few other nasty chemicals might do the trick, especially since they're going to get full of holes
Telephone poles are usually treated to begin with since they are plunged pretty deep into the ground and have to support power and telecommunication wires
You excel at titles that make total sense for the video, but get me super excited or worried seeing them show up in my feed. For this one, I thought you had stumbled across some decent sized caves... The ones you found are pretty nifty though.
When you did the initial blasting and you could see caves that were shown afterwards. It reminded me of playing mince craft as a kid and laying down a crap ton of tnt and blowing it up in a similar way to how you did. You’d run into caves or hidden things underground in the game.
Hey brother, we run thise mini lull's at my work every day and hands down they are the most usefull piece of equipment we have! We have like 8 of them plus like 6 full sizes lull's! Weve had all different brands and my personal favorite are the Gehl RS 5-19! If you get the older model with the twin stick thats the holy grail in my opinion but the newer ones are badass also! Ac/heat equipped also! Also to mention you can get multiple different attachments for the end and they have a quick release! Super sick machines!
Hey Matt, with all that crushed rock, you could sell it to help with your expenses of the rock crusher. It would help with any other expenses for staff as well. Love the videos. Blessings from Canada
Matt I enjoy all of your video's and am excited for you to turn this into an amazing getaway when you are done i have intentions of a family/work trip to your resort...
How about using some of that building material to build a shoot house on the range? Good training, especially for all the LEO folks training out there now.

new name for the video, the new quarry
mail order food. no thanx!
He’ll need all of it. Guaranteed. Cant have too much.
It's really refreshing to see someone develop a property the correct way. Crushed stone is a valuable asset allowing you create access to wherever you choose. Long-time viewer!
Thank you! It was super boring but will definitely be nice to have in the long run
You need some top soil to bring some life back to that land!
Dude, that's a lot of base material. Great side hustle for the ranch... sell what you don't need.
That's the plan!
you should figure out how much the gravel would have cost to buy to sooth your brain @@OffTheRanch
They'll probably end up using all of it lol
Sell it in small jars for 20 a pop
He is all about that base.

I hope you get to stay at his ranch someday 😊
All rock u crushed up u can use it for all ur RV pads that way they have a good level base to park on.
most of it is probably going to be getting used for the second burm he wants to have at the range

I was thinking they need to call in a Geologist to survey some of that.
This is one of my favourite videos you’ve ever done. This bit at the end when 4 friends go off and find caves and chuck rocks at stuff was wholesome AF!
So sad about the tragic ending, though. "UA-cam legend and friends lost in an avalanche on a Texas ranch!" 😢

That boulder crushing machine reminds me of a spice harvester on Arrakis...
These machines run 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week?
So the holes Matt was playing with were worm tubes?
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that thought this at first glance lol
all of those rock piles and that big oak tree look like a fun place to play if i was a kid again lol. i can imagine playing king of the hill, riding a skateboard deck down the slopes etc.

I've mentioned several times to use the poles as studs of sorts and fill in between them with Rail ties. That solves several of his issues.
With every episode Matt becomes more like Indiana Jones and Mikey becomes Short Round 😂
He belongs in a museum!

A skeet range would be a good idea.
Your progress is truly amazing. Really puts into perspective on how far you've carried yourself as a entrepreneur. I will definitely visit the resort when possible. Really beautiful place! May God continue to bless you on your journey!
Matt you should do a "Range of Dreams" intro ripping from "Field of Dreams" for a fun comedy bit.

With all of these new openings in the hillside, your rattlesnake farm is going to be amazing... 👍
Use the taller poles to mount PA speakers on them for when you have big events.

When I lived in San Marcos, we would spend lots of time up near Canyon Lake, and the area around there has some amazing places to explore.
Dang, Mikey has enough bro energy to make corpses get up early
You should do a line of geophones across the property or GPR to figure out if there are any signifcant caves
Bro you literally missed the perfect opportunity in that sponsorship segment to say "Heat it, eat it, and yeet it...." Just sayin'

For pulling the staples and wire off the posts you need a flat bar and cats claw. They make that job much easier.
Some of those shots from the drone would make great artwork around the resort 😎 like 8:25 and 8:33 acrylic printed
On the bright side you’ll never need to buy gravel for roads. You could also sell the gravel as fill to someone too if you have to much.

Gotta be careful doing that, extractive industries need a license.
you should put guard rails up in case of land slides... can cover with bushes ...
Matt you should come out to that spot during a hard rain to see it all pouring out the sides
If you wrap the ground wire around a hammer head after you get a few staples out and kinda yank it up it will come off easy but the staples will fly
Duuude you should make a Mountain by the leftover basefill with a whatchthower on it, that has a overwatch of the whole resort!
You’ll always a use for that base material! Bonus!!!
The resort project going along real good!
