I read balding. I'm old. Wooo! Saw him in Dorton Arena when I was 11...it was hot and a terrible lightning storm. If u know Dorton...all glass. Wild stuff
Superglue was invented as a quick way to close wounds I think during Vietnam war. Best match I ever saw Flair in? Winston-Salem, NC facing Bobo Brazil. Knocked him cold with a roll of quarters, lol. Brazil always bragged about how hard his head was. Flair had something for it.
One of Rics favorite sayings has always been "Red is Green". Blood = $ and he wasn't wrong. back in the day if he bled that's all that was talked about
The first time I witnessed blading was a match between Ric and Dusty Rhodes. I was pretty young. That shit was terrifying. I thought they were killing each other! LoL
"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair The kind of guy who would blade, then start his promo, then start his match, then start a new promo If he started his career 30 years later, he would blade before every podcast
Wrestlers who bladed just to Name a few: John Cena Hulk Hogan Triple H Randy Orton The Rock Vince McMahon Shawn Michaels Batista Chris Jericho Of course ric flair
I recall from years ago how, before a match he knew would involve gigging, Ric would be in the locker room and take a couple of aspirins and have some coffee. The aspirins would thin out the blood and it wouldn't require much of a cut to cause the blood to mix with the sweat and create the illusion of a hemorrhage. Ric was a master storyteller.
They need a Ric Flair museum...Anyone who has his memrobilia needs to cut a deal or something...His x Wives bfs and shit probably stole them lol you know they were Ric fans absolutely
I love watching the hardcore matches and have since I was a kid. I'll never forget how much The Nature Boy bled in the match in TNA in a cage vs Kurt Angle. Damn good match
I saw a shoot interview with X-Pac he said Flair was a p**** when it came to drinking and only drank kamikazes he said they wanted him to take a shot of Jack Daniels with the kliq and he threw it over his shoulder and that's when mr. Perfect started making everyone gargle their shots
I know it's probably (definitely) not very healthy but as a fan I have to say that blading does make a match better. Of course, it all depends on the circumstances of the match and the wrestlers involved. It creates an intensity in a match that otherwise it wouldn't have.
I'll never forget the match with you and Muta where after the match interview your hair was literally half green from the mist and half red. It was soooo epic!!!
I saw Dusty Rhodes blade himself at the Melborne Convention Center in FL back in the mid '70s. He was thrown over the top ropes and landed at my feet. His right thumb was taped with a razor hidden which I saw flashing in the light. His face was a "Crimson Mask" when got back up and re entered the ring.
She needs a different nickname. She should be Nature Girl. Calling her Queen when HHH is the King of Kings seems incestuous being how BFF/mentor/father figure of the business he is to HHH.
I don’t agree with everything Madden says, but he’s spot on about Ric Flair. One of the best wrestling promos of all time, doesn’t know how to do a podcast. Dead air, delayed answers, one word answers, he seems totally out of his element.
@@warrenhoffman653 glad I’m not just a sadistic psychopath. Wrestling seems wrong without blood. Lots of blood. I used dry erase marker on my action figures as a kid hahahah
If you haven't tried superglue (cyanoacrylate, liquid not gel) on a small cut, give it a go. I used to keep a 5-pack of the small tubes on me as a butcher.. it saves having to f*ck about with plasters that won't stay on and the rubbish and all that crap. It doesn't sting at all, you just don't feel it. The only problem is if it's bleeding too much - as the glue dries, the blood will push through last bit of uncured area and make a tiny blood volcano.
That’s what my folks told me they thought it was like fake blood or something like that. Honestly when i found out pro wrestling was fake I was even more interested on like how the world they pulled this stuff off? lol
Ric flair is such a bad podcast guy he needs to stop, if you cant be arsed to do it then just dont lol, this is better than his usual responses to be fair but still barely anything
Yes ex-wife's even if it's not important to them, if it's yours or important to you, they want it! My Medals 🏅 from the Army (Iraq) are Gone (21 years) ; so are my model trains.
Yeah supergluing a cut is probably not recommended. Considering how many times Ric bladed himself, you don't really see the scars on his head like alot of other wrestlers, so he was well versed in doing it. Don't think it's necessary though, as everyone knows wrestling isn't real, so it's a bit silly, people will just be asking "Why is that guy making himself bleed????". Could just use pretend blood or something if needed.
The trick is cutting horizontally so you don’t have a lot of scarring. People like Abdullah the Butcher and Dusty Rhodes bladed vertically and that left the scar.
@@LanceJ. Spot the total lack of logic in what you've just said. The angle of a cut isn't what determines scarring or not, the skin is still severed. It's the depth and location of the cut that counts and the thickness of the skin in the area. The trick is actually to make the incision right at the top near the hairline where the skin is tightest I hear, not that I'd recommend anybody doing it at all. Flair had clearly been doing it in the right place all his career, not least because he'd do it in an area where you can't really see scarring anyway unless you were searching for it.
Blading always adds to the intensity of a match. Definitely gets the adrenaline going. Old school wrestling….absolutely the best of times!!
Ric, you look thrilled to be doing this interview.
Always fascinated to hear guys talking about blading and Ric is one of the best. Someone needs to do a shoot with Muta on blading next.
Or Dreamer.

*TO BE THE MAN, YOU GOT TO BEAT THE MAN! WOOOO!*

I’m sure Flair wanted to bleed in this podcast.
Lol. That was good.
Awesome comment. LOL.
🤣🤣🤣🤣

I round too if I was talking to Mark Madden 🤣

Flair's sound gotten much, much better.

The Ric Flair museum should have a Hall of Sek 👠 Al Conquests with the names of all of the women he's been with on both walls.

The guy in EC FN W that put super glue on his cuts was Sabu
ECW?
Superglue?

You can get Rick to blade for a cameo or your kids birthday party

Ric flair:hey kids wanna see me blade?
I’m blading my forehead currently while I’m watching this
Hell yeah get that color bro

It was actually Flair vs Funk and Muta came in at the end and sprayed the mist on Flair. Great American Bash 89.
Way back in the day, I remember Classie Freddy Bassie after a bloody match with the Mexican Medics in LA said, "Blood is the life."

Mark madden back on the podcast?
I just realized, Flairs been married 5 times
Damn Natch. 😳
I had a cut over my left eye and they glued it shut at the hospital. I felt like a model kit!
as long as it's small, shallow, and has clean edges super glue is acceptable in the medical field it's called Dermabond
I see what you did to the thumbnail. Nice touch.
ECW wrecked blading. Every event would have EVERY worker blade, from opening match to end.
Another three remarkable minutes
btw, if you get chance and can find it get the original Sheik's book. 'red means green'
