I just want a remaster of the original trilogy
I really hope that there'll be announcement reveal trailer of PlayStation Studios' Sly Cooper 5 (a direct sequel to Sly Cooper 4: Thieves in Time with story continuation) on PS5 Exclusive by Sony Interactive Entertainment Company at PlayStation Showcase during the Summer Game Fest 2024 this month. 🙏
I'd buy a new PS5 if they made a Sly game for it.
That's the only reason I own a PS3 and I'll be happy to keep the tradition going!
I think what the biggest issue is, behind the scenes, and not being said by Sony is that the major dev studios and teams that make games under Sony as publisher, dont have the time to take on such a huge task in either remastering the trilogy for PS5/PC or making a new game(sequel). Sly Cooper is a game that was successful in a very weird way. So I can see Sony holding onto the Sly IP with lock n key until a good marketing release time. The merch coming out recently is to see how loyal and large the fan base is and im assuming whether or not to green light a dev team to make w.e. we may get. BUT........I truly feel we will be getting another Sly game within the next 5 years.
I think the only reason Naughty Dog acknowledges Jak and Daxster for their anniversaries is to play with fans emotions.
Most definitely, I remember when they stated that they wanted to focus on more mature content despite their employees expressing interest in a new game
If Sly 5 can come, I would like the following things in it:
- It would reveal whether Sly and Carmelita's relationship works, the true origin of Clockwerk and why Penelope turned evil
- It would have all the best aspects of the second and third games
- Bendley would wear a bicycle helmet in it like in the third one
- Murray would also find a crush like Sly and Bendley
- It would somehow involve dealing with other ancestors, those who did not appear in the fourth game. That way you could go on an adventure to London, where Thaddeus Winslow Cooper once lived

I keep having this boiling feeling in my gut that they could eventually do 4K remasters of the original Sly trilogy like how they did with the Crash N.Sane Trilogy, but it might not happen for a while

I barely know how 4 ends. Sly gets stranded in Egypt. That's about all I know. If we get Sly 5, it's about damn time he finally comes home! Unless they pull a Shenmue 3 and give us another damn cliffhanger.

For very important matters I just want the creators to make and create the new future game Sly Cooper 5. The Sly Cooper series needs to come back and Sly Cooper needs to get back home his friends and family and love interest and more importantly Sly Cooper needs more love and appreciation.
I do agree with everything in this video and I am so excited for more sly news but I also feel like that even if its just the merch thing and them thinking they won't really make back more than what they spent I feel like something safe they could do is a remaster of the original series just upscale the graphics a bit make it run at maybe 120fps or keep it 60 even its not to big a deal but I think that would be something they could do safely and still make back more than they would put in it and I know I would download it in a heartbeat like I'm going to with sly 1 amazing series amazing video keep up the good work bro and keep us updated :D

Of course it's just merch, don't forget the previous Sly anniversary was hyped up with everyone saying there is a new Sly game coming as well as a remake/remastered Sly trilogy
I'd settle for PC ports of the original trilogy and a re-imagining of Sly4.
Hopefully soon sly gets to make a return with a continuation with sly 5 and a sly 6, with a good ending like in sly 3 and I even wrote what the stories for sly 5 and 6 could be, and I would like for them to make the sly cooper tv show
One can only hope more is on the way!

I wanna be able to play any of them, I can't play anything of Sly Cooper in Australia, only can apply their current player avatar, other than that - nothing. I just wanna play my childhood favorite games, I got the Jak games, even recently Lost Frontier despite it being hated by a bunch. But no Sly Cooper is ridiculous, if they lock these to Premium I'll be gutted, as the highest we got is deluxe so it will ruin my mood all week about this if it happens.
Maybe they need money to make the next game it take money for game studios to make another game

Because Sly Cooper doesn't make a lot of sales compare to Ratchet and Clank, the only Sly could return is through a Remake/Reboot that way it can appeal to new fans

Sony should build out team Asobi and then they can use them for platform style games. Personally, I like to see PlayStation mixing some more platformer style franchises with their current AAA franchises. You can get them out the door with shorter development cycles because you don’t need to worry about a lot of the things that plague current AAA development.
Japan Studio merged with Team Asobi so they got the talent as well as the workforce covered, Sony Interactive Entertainment launched several support initiatives across the world to gain smaller projects from emerging gaming markets to add variety of all types across all genres to their library
Because there came Sly 1 The Thievious Raccoonius to PS5, that dosen't mean there's coming something MORE, but to be honest I've been waiting and hoping for Sly 5 and Sly Cooper's return after over a freaking 10 years of Sly 4 Thieves in Time Cliffhanger end, we need Sly back with Sly 5 and maybe the Movie return too, but better looking art style just like in games because Sly movie trailer back then looked so bad. I work for Sony and I'll just tell you now. It's called "Sly & and the Sands of Time". We're trying to market it as a Ghost of Tsuishima for kids, and much more comedic. Big open world, takes place in "Cyberpunk Egypt", and I know the character Clockwerk is supposed to be strictly excluded.

Sands of Time would be a rather fun choice of title, but I doubt the veracity of this claim.
