- Welcome to week four of the Wonderful Hats Crochet Along where we will learn to crochet the Cedarwood Beanie! Just like the Ainsley Beanie Crochet Pattern last week, this crochet hat features a lot of texture! This texture resembles a herringbone or an arrowhead design. It is created by working some textured mixed cluster stitches which I explain in the pattern and video tutorial.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Gauge: 17 sts x 16 rows of sc = 4 inches
Finished Size: 9 x 9 inches laid flat, 20-22 inch circumference.
Yarn: Impeccable by Loops & Threads ® (100% acrylic; 285 yds/260 m; 4.5oz/127.5 g; (4) Medium/worsted weight): 1 ball per beanie.
Hook: Size H/8 (5 mm) Hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge

Sarah, thank you again for such a lovely hat. Just love your work. One tip I learned with the slipped stich rim is that on the first and last of each row work thru both. It makes a very clean edge for both sides. And really makes the starting row of the hat look very even and polished. I hope that makes sense!

If I were to work this in 2 colors, where would the color change go? I think it would be 20 changes per row if I did the arrowheads in one color and the fpdc columns in the other. Worth it? Maybe a color per row? I'm going to have to experiment, but this patern is worth it!
❤ The top didnt turn out the way I like tjem to. I rush a bit. Sitches are very pretty though.
In the pattern on R19, I think your first asterisk is in the wrong place. I think it should be AFTER the first fpdc2tog.
