Hello Everyone! Thank you for subscribing to my channel and for your continued support and feedback! Here we look at a situation that would make tuning a nightmare, or like me, flying impossible. Hope this can help someone. Enjoy the Breeze...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
I have a build I could not get to tune due to a huge resonace at 70hz. I'm convinced it is the frame design. It has a large hoop on the front to accommodate a insta360, kind of the same situation where it just flops all around
So frustrating! I so wish I would have found out sooner. Hopefully this video will help people like us from having to go through all that aggravation..
Yeah, those arms didn't have nearly enough carbon. Pawel Spychalski uses to fly 7 inchers and he said you need at least 6mm carbon arms. And probably a bit more thickness as well.
Anyway, I'm happy you fixed it! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Hey MC's.. Hope all is good.. Yeah, back when I built my first 7incher, I went with the Iflight XL8. It's a nice frame but discontinued...
Clearly a resonance issue caused by a lack of rigidity of the carbon frame, as your excellent investigation shows. And indeed this will have a complex interaction with the gyro. Excellent video, thanks for sharing !
I can only hope this video will save someone the many hours, I (embarrassingly) put into this one, Lol.. I appreciate your feedback...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
Love your old school Drone :D Pretty clean ! :D
Appreciate your feedback Nicolo...🍻
Very informative, thank you. Not something you would expect from a decent frame design. Would have drove me mad. This is one going on my 'check 1st list' for sure 👍
Absolutely, and yes, it drove me crazy and I really began to dislike the whole idea of it; However, I'm super happy to report it flew amazingly yesterday! I finally got to FPV maiden this ripper. The CNCmadness V3 with 7mm arms has little to no vibes, Hooray!
ive been having problems with my 7" Super G+ for over a year. I have such violent vibrations the footage is just not worth even reviewing. It is especially bad in the FPV feed & I have done everything I can think of to get rid of the oscillations. Therefore, I have installed it in the storage unit. Boy has that old school build chopped some weeds. Thumbs up!
I appreciate a thumbs up. Thank you and Enjoy the Breeze...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
I came up with a way to put the frame under tension without cables. It even reduces weight by a little. Tension reduces vibration, or raises the frequency of the frame, thus reducing problematic noise. Flights are so smooth and stable and cool to cold motors. 🥶
That sounds cool. Do you have a video? I don't allow links in comments but you could describe were to see it...🍻
nice investigation! I have a 6" H-frame(mark IV clone). recently, it "howls" at certain rpm while in flight. ill check frame if it also wobbles when motor runs. cheers!
I appreciate your feedback. I wish I would have been more suspicious of the frame earlier. Would have saved me some time..
thanks for this great video was going to same issue with another frame hskrc x328 after looking at your video i am thinking to drop that frame.
My pleasure.. I spent so much time wasted trying to figure out the PIDs, never will tune that out...
I’m having serious Jello issues with my Foxeer Aura frame so I’m SO glad you made this video as I’m at my whits end with it 😔
Off to the bench I go! 🤞😅🤝
Let me know what you find. I was pulling my hair out 4shO!
@@propsoff I bet mate 😱😅
I’ll let ya know 🤞🙏
I can attest that what this man says here is the truth. I got the SAME issue with my V4 version of this frame too. It burnt up an ESC, and heat up my motors. When it flies, it sounds like a motor with bad bearings the moment I reduce throttle.
It was embarrassing how much time I spent and the time of others. Unfortunately... But its flying like a dream now...🍻
X class FTW nice video 📹 👌 👏 now I gotta do a bigger kwad
🤣 Going to need ya a 10incher...
@@propsoff Thats what she said you whoopin tonight?
@@mfrfpv9079
Yes
+1👍 💪 i recently 3d printed a crossarm (thick) for a similar problem, worked pretty fair. carbon crossarm would be better than 3d print; however, give it a try. the only way to get a thick crossarm in my opinion is to integrate a skid.
Interesting, I didn't think about it at the time. Like swaybars links.. Yeah, I got a full refund and then got a CNCMaddness frame...🍻
@@propsoff yea I just fabricated aluminum bars that go in-between and it finally fly's stable without crazy vibrations heating the motors up.

I appreciate your feedback!
If you find yourself having some extra time, I would like to see 2 pictures of your modifications...🍻

A number of 7 inch frames with narrow arms get lateral shakes such as Tyro 129 but don't get handling issues . I would look at filtering or perhaps too much motor run out before blaming the frame. Does look dodgy though.
Ok
Have you tried the Banggod 7" frame? I have two of them with 2810 1500kv motors and they absolutely rip. Flies like my 5" quads.
Good luck man!
I'm good, I got the V3 in there and she's going to be a ripper...
The V3 version had more sturdy arms in my opinon.
I agree, they are made for individual ESCs too...🍻
The source one v3 is where it's at. Got a great emuflight tune if you want it
The deadcat 7" v3 I mean*... Get that one
The V3 has been a good frame for me, sort of a go to frame when in doubt. Personally, I know zero of Emuflight...
It's the same as beta before sliders. Better native filtering IMO. I have the same ecos but 1500kv. You could always try emu before you disassemble but the chassis on the 4 sucks. Too flimsy
@@PIXLPUSHRFPV
I may have to check it out then. Yeah, that V4 was a massive time waster.. I have the 1500kv 2807 Emax...🍻
do you think its the V4 that is poorly designed, or is the carbon not cut properly? I have the 7inch V3 in my cart perpetually
I don't think it's the design, however, I wouldn't put 2807 motors on it. For me, the quality of the carbon was bad. The V3 provides more protection from the beating I'm going serve too, I do like the V3 design.
I see the same amount of flex on the mark5 frame. Right after building it, i was looking for a different frame. Not a lot of options for the hdzero freestyle vtx
That VTX looks chunky. I just wonder how anyone tuned that frame...🤷🏻
PropsOff right now I have the hdzero in the quadmula siren. Flying that and the volador. Both seemed easy to tune. I have yet to venture in the rabbits black box
@@michaelwilson3946
Haven't seen those frames..
Update* cnc madness is awesome. Just finished designing a frame with their help. Skelter5 v2 available on printables. Should be on cncdrones soon. 5.5 props and super clean blackbox
designers just stretching 5inch arms and not designing for the larger stresses?
I'm not sure what to think about the design. I was really going after a lite build and the design may be fine. The carbon was not. Still, I don't think I would put 2807 motors on that frame. Maybe some pancakes for endurance.
I'm in Cleveland. Who flies around here? I have never seen anyone ever flying fpv but me.
There's a strong racing crew up there. Not much Freestyle from what I know. Look up Multigp.com and find chapters, you'll see 3 of them and they are all related basically...🍻
Looks like rubber arms, the new frame makes a big difference
I still haven't got to FPV the new frame, but the Blackbox and LOS was most excellent. I sort of feel exonerated. I just finished filming the install and effects of motor insulation pads. It was a little surprising of how it changed little to nothing, Lol. But maybe someone will enjoy me wasting my time and find it interesting too. Enjoy the Breeze...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
Props off or fingers off 🤷♂️
Sad but true
I would not say my fame has caused many issues no.

jk i make spelling mistakes all day.
Lol.. A mistake made unnoticed is left to be a mistake; However, a mistake recognized for what it is, adds character.
How do you spell dessert again... 🍦
By the way, couldn't agree more about analog and FPV Exchange...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
@@propsoff haha, i personally hate being corrected on spelling but i thought this one was funny.
@@BOTGRINDER
I stand corrected, I only now realized how famously funny it is because sometimes my mind is a little slow on the uptake...🤣
Also, I hope Caddx will send you 10 VTXs - I would like to see more.. You also bring up a good point, about future gear availabilities. I tend to really dislike anything proprietary.
That frame needs 4 braces all around.
It needed something 4shO...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
Be a MAN, leave the props ON. lol
NO WAY!
I also pre-arm...🤣
@@propsoff Pre-arm, is for sissies. lol
