- It doesn't get more unique than this then, some of the worlds smallest cars ever made across a span of almost 60+ years, each with their own pros... followed by a longer list of cons? Lets find out how practical the Peel P50, Sinclair C5, Renault Twizzy F1, and the all new Citreon Ami are in todays world of motoring.
It was our pleasure supplying the vehicles for Britains Got Talent, and if you'd like to see the video of the cars in action, please visit this link - • Judges RACE to Auditio...

Here in France the Ami are already a best-seller, you saw A LOT of them in front of schools (yep you only need to have 14 years old and a scooter licence to drive it)
Citroen AMI is the future of urban motoring ...in Italy they call it Topolino meaning Mouse
The blue Renault badge indicates it's electric, it's on the Zoe too.
7695 is the UK price, gosh the inflation is out of this world. From 6000 to 7695 in less than a month.
which means people won't buy it, at £6K I wouldn't at £7.5 No way, only idiots will buy it, problem is we have plenty of those.
@@rugbydazz2264 stupid comment: a diesel quadricycle did cost 15000€ = compare what is comparable!
Love the channel man!! Need to go back and start binge watching ✊✊
Great video, fun and clear presenting, thanks for making!
I have a Renault Twizy AND a Sinclair C5 and love ‘em both!
Great video, I loved it! Thank you.
In the Citroen shop, it's unfortunately £7,695 for the basic model, £8095 for some bells and whistles and £8,495 for all the bells and whistles.
Yes for £8,500 it's pretty expensive for what it is. £6k and it would start to become more appealing...but probably not enough to get it over the line for me.
@@AndreMurrell £6000k (7000€ in France) was before the invasion of Ukraine and the resulting price inflation...
You needed a "My other car is a Koenigsegg" sticker in the back of that Citreon Ami!
great video, very funny. excellent stuff!!!
ZG's: _"…it’s getting bitterly cold now…"_
Brit Lady: _"Hold my beer."_
Norway might get Ami at end of this year, fun "car" and great video and channel! And that Renault is bonkers!
That twizy is utter bonkers, F1 meets lawnmower comes to mind. Saying that I'd love to drive it or ride it lol
it'll be great when someone can tweak it, and give it a bit more oomph but with a £2500 deposit and £19.99 a month i'd say it's a great deal for city commuting
Get a used Citroen C1 for less than £2500.
the spoiler on the AMI is not stock : this is an accessory...I known some Tesla owners in France who have in addition this AMI quadicycle, not only for they childrens, but to city drive , go to work and go shopping because it's much more practical in the cities , or close arround
Very interesting video
They don't do 40mph they do 28mph, which makes them unviable outside of cities which is a shame. They are all left hand drive as well.
45 km/h: use metric to avoid confusion!
I liked the amii I saw in a vid that was “beefed up” pretty much with just add-ons (ram bars front &back and roof rack) and a paint job. Problem is here in the states, this is pretty much a glorified golf cart, and those are looked on very unfavorably by law enforcement, motorists (on the road), pedestrians (if it’s cleared to go on bike paths)… the range being 40-45 miles is also a bit limiting, but I think it’s better than an actual golf cart so if you used it with the limitations in mind it should be alright.
Does the Ami have any kind of battery cooling? Just wondering about battery longevity. Are they likely to degrade within a few years? Or does the lower 48v mean the Ami battery isn't likely to have the same kind of battery longevity problems that higher voltage systems would have without cooling?
That Twizzy looks so sick
Doesn’t the blue badge indicate the car is electric or a hybrid? Toyota hybrids have the Toyota badge in blue
You could include a Carver. Mad machine, needs more range (or removable batteries), and £12k is a lot of money for basically an electric recumbent trike. Fun though.
6:00 ... doesn't see! I drove Mercedes SLK 230 (R 170) and occasionally some drivers didn't see me also
colour matching Sketchers 🤘😎🤘🇬🇧
the ami does look cool. but i wish the top speed was a little faster also a removable battery be cool too.
did you really stop on zig-zags at a pedestrian crossing to let other cars pass!!!!
Cant forget the mitsouka microcars
Like the K4 and K3 and mc1
I was hoping that the Isetta would have been included.
I've been driving smart fortwos since 2008. I used to love road tripping, which made an EV impractical for me. Well, those days are over, I haven't been out of town in years. A small EV would suit me fine now. Not an Ami, though. It'll almost certainly never be available in the USA anyway.
Awailability from the AMI in the US depends on the legislation in the USA: in most European countries, is the AMI in the same category as the small 50cc scooter which does not require a license, only very basic training, and does not meet "normal" car crash test standards, but the AMI is far safer than a scooter...
The AMI is far from perfect but....
It is telling you more about why not to buy a Tesla than why to buy an AMI.
AMI is telling you what could be done for a fair and affordable price.
Make it in RIGHT HAND DRIVE and de restricted and you've got something
that will sell like hot cakes.
There are similar cars being produced in China and they will never see the
light of day over here, because the government don't want you to have them.
It is not about safety standards either, you don't need twin disc and ABS to
halt an orange box.
Do a review about your Aventador
7:04 those tires look like they need some air
Just a little, we pumped them up after
£18 a month that’s less than 1/4 of my phone bill
If you do the math it's cheaper to rent.
Being £6000 to buy and you can rent it for £20 a month, that's 25 years of motoring :)
It's not just 18 a month. That's in combination with a pre-payment of a couple of thousand pound.
@@drumcorpsinprogres
Yes as a finance deal you can deposit £3000 and pay the balance at £18 a month.
But can also rent the Ami at £18-£20 a month. This is the same as the rental deal in France that €20 per month
@@mynewschannel3100 If that comes here where you can rent it for £20 a month without a down payment they will fly out the show rooms, I can't see it myself, I would have one just to go to Aldi and town and keep my petrol car for the M6 and A428, A46 and A426.
@@rugbydazz2264
They were talking about using a zip car type set up in London but monthly rental as they do in Paris.
In Italy you need a driving license to drive the Ami, it can be driven from 14 yrs old.
The Ami is not 3d printed
We’ve had ours 8 months. Here’s my 4000km review. ua-cam.com/video/1IgKw9DM-II/v-deo.html
Twizy F1 😂
It’s more about the cheapest vs the smallest. The cost of these of these you can buy an NCAP tested, airbags, SIPS and ABS *car*. These are not cars by the definition. But quadricycles.
If roads in cities were a mandatory 20-30mph and absolutely NO more than, then you would be laughing with the Amy. But seeing as we have 40-45mph roads in them it’s a nightmare scenario.
I have an EV moped -30mph- it’s perfect for messing about but I still have to partially access 40mph roads and as well all know, drivers NEVER stick to a speed limit unless you monitor them. So 20 becomes 26-30mph and a 30 becomes a 40+ and a 40 becomes nearer a 50mph.
Unlike in south France where there’s 10 of thousands of EV smart cars and EV bikes and the roads are built for slower traffic, here it’s just garbage driving anything small.
Forgot about microcar
Well I wonder if I could stop commenting but I realize I can't until I get all my vehicles back they have plotted murder ,or what would you call it just think of it where is all my things ,
It's weird here how do you do all these commercial with someone else things this ain't no trip or is it ,he ran off with me car .
one year ago, every car company want its own Ami, and it's not a success, it's a phenomenon , there is a 1 year wanting list to get one in France. I think on the contrary, that's the future of cars !
He’s broke 🤣!!!
Why are trying be be G Clarkson?
For £6000 you can get a decent used car
not a new
not a new one, and not without a licence !
I enjoyed your video until I saw you parking across two disabled parking bays to do your camera pieces. It really infuriates me as a disabled driver.
Try to be a little more empathic next time.
Only 50 miles?
Not worth it.
sufficient for the urban use for which the AMI is designed
