You're all very welcome. I first saw this series completely out of order as my local tv channel delayed screening it for one whole year after it commenced in other New Zealand cities. On going into the army in another part of the country shortly after and then returning to my home city not only had I missed huge chunks but all continuity was lost. I now have the entire series on DVD-R but UA-cam is a wonderful way for everyone to see the whole show complete. This was a rare production being a filmed, not videotaped, soap and the quality of the 20th Century Fox photography was such that trainee camera people were told to watch it with the sound off to study the camera-work!
ONLY THREE YEARS AGO! AMAZING 93 YEARS OF AGE . THAT'S BEING MADE STRONG. I WONDER IF SHE WAS RELIGIOUS. BLESS IT BE. THANK U FOR BEING U, RICHARD CHRISTCHURCH NZ. WHEREVER U MIGHT BE TODAY. Ĺ I DO HOPE U ARE ALIVE FOR THE SAKE OF ME, READING THIS THIS INFORMATION SO LATE. AND NOW WISHING U READ MY COMMENTS.
@@rosalindamartinez9634 Yes 93 is very impressive. Dorothy Malone was a Roman Catholic. Doris Day was a Christian Scientist and lived a similarly long life to 97. Both actresses have left a stunning body of work for us all to enjoy and that is their gift to us. Thanks for the comment Rosalinda, I am good for another 30 years living in New Zealand!
Despite Norman's childish behavior at times, he has pretty good insight into Rita. He does suspect that Rachel has told Rita more than Rita lets on. He and Rita have a great marriage, but they have to keep the lines of truth and communication open for it to succeed forever.
"A bomb with sideburns" 😂 Steven has a way with words. No wonder he's such a successful attorney. But even he can't interpret the old man's motive for hiring Webber. To paraphrase Tom Hagen in The Godfather, "This is business, not personal, Steven!"
Equal footing? Rodney is Martin Peyton's favorite grandson. Mr. Peyton will never accept Steven because he is a reminder of his daughter's immorality. Rodney will always be put above Steven. He isn't interested in an executive suite or being on "equal" footing with Steven. He's doing what he wants to do and doesn't care about Martin Peyton's money or power. Why can't people just leave him alone and let him do what he wants?
Inolvidable telenovela La caldera del diablo que se emitió en Chile siempre en blanco y negro, destacó el papel que hacia el Dr.Rossi en esta intriga llama Peyton Place.
I just wanted to say Leigh Taylor-Young looks lovely in the picture illustrating 320. I loved Leigh when I first saw her here...and have followed up her life and career for years. Here I saw a sweetness, charm and sincerity that I hoped then, and know now, wasn't all just acting. A pre-teen crush on a Peyton Place character grew into admiration for a gifted and giving actress.
When this was first on in 1967 I was reading each magazine I could which had Peyton Place articles.(My Grandma helped by giving me a few.) One article in the early summer of 1967 said that Leigh Taylor-Young was leaving Peyton Place because she was pregnant. For more info, check her own site(www.lty.com/)
"Richard Ranke" Good call: ". . . Leigh Taylor-Young looks lovely . . ." with her dazzling smile in that referenced image for ep. 320. 22:50 - 22:56 A 180 in emotion, here one of total fright and terror -- yet still looking beautiful. Copying the phrase, "Those lips! . . . those eyes!" plus perfectly proportioned nose and chin, nicely-tanned skin features, light-brown hair combined to favorably contribute to one of the late 1960s and 1970s true beauties. Is it any wonder that the filming company's 'hound,' Ryan O'Neal, wasted no time fathering her child?
Re episode's thrilling climax: Warning to ALL young women everywhere: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, go into a darkened basement -- UNLESS you have a battalion of U.S. Marines in front of, beside of, and immediately behind you, plus illumination the equivalent of klieg lights brightening every corner, ever inch of that room. Absolutely do NOT waver from these instructions. Advisement, requirement to ALL pretty, young actresses in movies, television shows and TV movies: ALWAYS proceed into darkened, eerie basements by descending one step at a time all by yourself, in order that the audience members' hearts jump into their throats out of genuine, gripping fear for your character, despite her foolish, RISK-TAKING action.
Oh gosh! What a mistake Steven made by moving in Peyton home..... history has it no soul lived happily out there. No wonder Rod & Norm never regretted for exiting that home.
What I don't like is Rachel always wanting to be treated like an adult, but is always saying, "i can't answer that", sounding like a child. A grown woman can answer what she know about Allison. A grown woman wouldn't buckle under Chandler threats, of causing harm to the Carson's, and Rossi. Even though it's annoying to see her skirt around the truth, i have to remember that the writers base Rachel character on a child who had been severely abused by Chandler, and possibly molested, and even controlled her aunt, to death, so she would have a monster image of Chandler, and very afraid that he has power to harm her friends, so she keep quiet. Seems like it's coming close to the truth being revealed.
Things that make you go hmmmmmm 🤔 -- Rita is always asking people to dinner, even though they rarely accept. She's also tried organizing "double dates", with and without success. Now, she doesn't want houseguest Rachel to leave. Could it be that the "thrill" of being alone with Norman has gone? Understandable.
Kinda hard not to be. 17 years hard time for a crime he didn't commit. Now he has to deal with Connie's attitude because of Rachael the liar. Rachael just hopped on a bus. Hope it goes to Alaska!
Connie probably would beat him in the head, with a rolling pin, if he hadn't brought Rachel back. I think Rachel is the medicine Connie needed, to get over Allison.
There is more to the Weber being hired than meets the eye an old expression yes antiquated what does your IM 80 you might say something but what do you know is the issue what does Martin Peyton know beyond what he has stated to Stephen powerful information this will prove to be an interesting and Intrachol part of the story in due time

Connie lives in la la land. Elliot is no fool. He knows Rachael isn't being honest. Connie should get that wacko sugar cookie the heck out of her house. Now Rachael is imposing herself on Rita and Norman.
Go to the police and tell them about the damn bracelet already! What is wrong with these people? Elliot is right. He shouldn't have to appologize for it .
People who are looking for a political advantage in the future would take a position such as the district attorney was a political aspirations depending on how they do and what attention at Garner. They don’t make money there’s not money to be made in that particular position Stephen desiring to increase his fault in terms of his income and his living arrangements would not be seeking such a position unless he would have higher aspirations of the political kind

Great information on this terrific show, thank you!
NOW all the plotlines make sense! Thank you for posting the lost episode.
It's unbelievable how nonchalant Rita is when Rachel tells her Jack Chandler may have been the last person to see Allison.
So well remembered, Dorothy Malone(y) died January 19, 2018 in Dallas, Texas (93 years).
"Written on the Wind"...
She was fabulous in that movie!!!
Rest in peace, beautiful lady.

Strange they never credit Barbara Parkins as Betty Cord in the opening.
Leslie "No Strings Attached" Harrington! HAH!
Thanks!
Rachel is gigantic!!!
She's taller than Norman !
Leslie's face doesn't look so thin anymore like prior episodes (around #300)
He was too thin. He looks much better, and healthier, in this episode.
i think leslie and ada should get together.

Omg Constance’s hair part is looking hideous again.
Betty, listen to your husband . . he's very intuitive .
They need to get Rod out of that garage and into an executive suite. He needs to be on equal footing with Steven.
Yes...I think he's perpetrating a fraud as a mechanic! And....I think he only wants a girl who will 'put out'...and not one he has to commit to!

It always amazed me that women go into dark basements like that. Also, if they are running from the bad guy, they ALWAYS fall down. Geeze!
Oh gosh! What a mistake Steven made by moving in Peyton home..... history has it no soul lived happily out there. No wonder Rod & Norm never regretted for exiting that home.
Yes, it was a huge mistake to move there. Steven has been sulking and ill-tempered since the day they moved in.

She never gets done telling everybody,"You don't care about me." My nerves, what does she want? Blood?
Steven had too much pride. He should take Martin offer for help even though he was capable but being Peyton grandson was a plus.
