If it was a stand alone work I'd agree with you. But we know Disney is gonna make it part of the canon. So now the force is a threat. Anakin is not special. Cortosis are gonna be in all the coming works. The light sabers are already nerfed enough.
Also it messed up the power level. Someone like yoda and darth sidious became powerful after years of training. But now all you need is to be born special.
You mean like how Anakin was born special and how he blew up a trade federation space station without any training in the force or any prior experience to piloting a star fighter?
@@Barry_Is_H3r3_OFFICIAL one is be special. But now we have 4, possibly more. Anakin at least had prophecy about him. Now rey is god tier because his father was a sith. The twins are just like anakin. We a have whole witch group who can apparently just produce force bred children. Asoka's aprentice can use force better than anakin with no training. Smilo ren is as powerfull if not more powerful than darth sidious with no master in the picture currently. We have a master jedi that. Can live for years without eating while levitating and maintaining a force field around himself. Jedi mind trick is a thing of the past because now we can just mind control others.
It's a power creep. Every new character must have something new compared to the previous ones. Which makes the previous character less special. That's how we get rey and how light sabers are just glowing swords.
I find that the Acolyte had flaws such as changing some elements of Star Wars, but those can be excused, my main problem is it as a show and having its themes and performances (acting and writing) change how the perspective of the characters in Star Wars act and are shown has negatively changed. BUT when you look at other things in the Disney Star Wars Era such as Obi Wan or Rise of Skywalker which were heavy on being important and connected to some of the most popular characters only to fall flat and ruin the story instead of helping it elevate itself. I feel like with other popular movie franchises such as Marvel and DC which have had problems recently, I feel Star Wars should do what they are doing which is to take a year or 2 off and build the shows proper and connect them into the universe before rushing the upcoming media (TV shows and Movies) to make a quick buck.
This was just awful and a waste of 180 million.
its not an absolute disaster but its not that good either so it was just meh. there was a good story but they kind of missed it with acolyte.
100% agree, the fighting was really steller, and there were elements i really liked, but i wasn't excited to watch it. Maybe season 2 will be good, but again, im not counting the days for it
Sucked forget the twins should have been about qumir being an acolyte not sith apprentices. He should have been the acolyte and tell his story about his master betraying him (green lady) light whip, his weapon has a shoto made to battle light whip. We had an amazing story but no lets focus on boring twins, strong females of course. Best part of the show qumir sol fighting. Man give us more of that, but no disney, they just wont ..sorry!!!
Probably the worst show by Disney ever made. This one had so much potential to be great but at the end of the day it’s a kids series. It’s still about the Jedi. Focus on the Sith. They should have started with Darth plagueis. And the death of his previous master or something. But no it’s about some man who has feelings…
The last three episodes were OK, the fighting choreography was good if a little bit too Matrixy, yeah it was meh. Unfortunately it seems they're dragging Yoda into the shit show. I dunno... not as bad as the sequel trilogy but could have been soooo much better
Predictable und full of filler
You know what's weird? The flashback episodes felt like filler and they shouldn't cause it was supposed flesh out the story but all it did was ruin the pacing and mystery. i kinda wish they took those episodes out
