  • Tri-County Sustainability (TCS) is the regional hub for the 101 towns, 1.2 million residents, and 10 legislative districts across Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties. AGENDA & GUESTS:
    1) Where should the charging infrastructure for heavy duty freight vehicles be located along the I-95 corridor? Electrifying truck stops and highway sites for fast charging can require a lot of power - with some sites demanding as much power as a stadium on game night or even a small town. The Northeast Freight Corridors Charging Plan (NFCCP) is a study to look at needed upgrades to the power grid to support a regional plan for public charging hubs serving Electric Medium and Heavy-Duty Trucks across established freight corridors. Your input is needed to help us with site prioritization. You'll be asked to provide feedback during the meeting. Scoring will include State Planning Priorities, Utility Power Load Forecast, Proximity to existing Power Infrastructure, and Environmental Justice Impact. Survey link here: docs.google.co...
    2) New Jersey's Local Government Energy Audit (LGEA) Program allows South Jersey municipalities to examine their facilities and see how they can improve their energy use. The program can help your town identify cost-justified energy-efficiency measures, as well as subsidize the full cost of the audit. The New Jersey Clean Energy Program (NJCEP) team and our friends at Sustainable Jersey join us to discuss the program's scope and available support. Questions? Contact woodst@tcnj.edu

    3) The Sustainable Collingswood Food Equity initiative is a model for all towns. Learn how, through partnerships, the Green Team was able to ensure the acceptance of SNAP benefits and provide 100% matching benefits at the Collingswood Farmers’ Market and bring back Virtua Health’s colorful Eat Well Mobile Farmers' Market, offering deeply discounted produce plus a 50% discount on SNAP purchases year-round. www.collingswo...
    4) In New Jersey, 80% of all NOx comes from vehicle emissions. The team at Plainfield, NJ based Compliance and Research Services joins TCS to discuss why the Cat-A-Pass™ supplemental catalytic converter, which reportedly reduces emissions of CO, VOC & NOx by 75% in highway driving, may make sense as a bridge solution for economically disadvantaged communities while electric vehicle sales and EV charging infrastructure deployment scale up across South Jersey over the next decade.
