Well, as a 6 month update I can tell you it has held up beautifully. I use this saw on almost every project. And I've changed the blade out twice with no issues. I need to change out the rubber shield because mine is getting torn up. Thanks for watching!
It really wasn't bad at all. I've cut a ton of fence pickets and it's still working flawlessly. I don't let cutoffs accumulate behind the blade though, just in case. Thanks for watching!!
Wouldn’t a plastic dust collection piece in this location have the same risk of exploding as the plastic blade guard that was part of the big safety recall?
Great question! I know he had a problem with them exploding. It was when people let small pieces of wood pile up behind the blade. He fixed it by increasing the thickness of the plastic. Thanks for watching!
@@CaddoCreekWoodworks Zero clearance is your friend!! Helps keep small pieces from wedging in the blade and kicking up. Something as simple as the zero clearance tape helps tremendously.
3:38 Keto snack? 😂 Hey, I haven't watched the whole video yet, but I have built a contraption in my shop that sequesters all the dust, so I never have to clean my shop vac filter. In fact, I run it without any filter to make it suck stronger. If you don't already have what I'm talking about, then I'll share it with you down the road.
I love mine and I use it quite a bit. I would use it more if I had a dedicated cart for it but that's going to have to be a future video. My old mitersaw was horrible. I do have a video up about that one. Thanks for watching!
Glad you’re enjoying it! Thanks for the shout out
Anytime! Thanks for watching!
Rear blade guard,.... mine didn't have the "clip", and the design of the guard is different. Not to worry?
I am waiting for the same dust collection from Shop Nation and appreciate your installation video, going to save me some time . Thanks
Anytime! Thanks for watching!
I
Worked as well as expected on my DWS780 looks like the same basic installation as the 779 shown here.
Im sorry but I cant see 50 plus dollars value in that. I almost bought it but the 3D print quality look suspect to me too.

Great video. Install looks very manageable.

Sounds great!
@ whatdadisupto. Do you have more info on your device? I’m looking for some dust help?
I want to buy the 779 or the 780 but I keep seeing bad reviews what do you people think of yours

Is yours an older saw? You might check with Shop Nation to see if he has a modification for it.
I took the blade off to do the installation. Now I can’t reinstall the blade. WTH !
Did you get the blade back on? It can be a little tricky.
Here's a tip, no one cares about the unboxing.
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
@@CaddoCreekWoodworks Thanks for including the unboxing, helped me to know what would be included
