Here's a family trick for raising chickens. in the middle of your pen, or outside of the pen if you let the chickens free roam during the day. Put a fence post with a light on top, shining down, put a water bowl filled with water underneith it. So the bugs that get attracted to the light fall into the water and drown. chickens will LOVE waking up in the morning to eat the bugs.
It’s so nice spending time with the chickens! They’re crooning and clucking are good sounds almost like a calming song. Thanks for sharing them with us. They’re so healthy.
Happy, happy chickens 🐓🐔🐔🐔🐔🥰 It appears that the two roosters fighting should be the ones to take a trip. The chickens will appreciate the lettuce, but right now there are so many wonderful choice's. 🎉
Not too worried about parasites in store bought hamburger as I am with some kinds of bacteria. You are taking really good care of your chickens and I am so glad. 🥰🤗 Your a great feather papa.
I heard that beans cooked with nothing is really good for chickens feather regrowth from an unofficial source on UA-cam. Hehe I bet they would love it! The chickens food looks amazing!
You got a great way of life sorted for yourselves. Too bad so many choose hideous role models when there are people like you who could truly impact lives in a positive way. Never change.
I'm glad you're going to keep seagull! I buy raw suet from my Amish butcher for a dollar a pound... I put it in a net and nail it to a tree in my woodpeckers love it!!!!! And
My brother used to dig his hen house out once a year. Put the dirt in a pile and leave it for a year. He sometimes put water with a little and left it. Great compost. Veggies grew so well. His eggs were yum. Nice and yellow yoke. Yours look very healthy.
Stainless steel pan. It's no damage. I am not a huge fan of wooden utensils. The more you wash them, the dryer the wood gets, letting stuff get into the wood fibers and possibly grow unfriendly things.
Hey Posty! Love the chickens. I used to work at a chicken farm that produced the eggs for a hatchery. 20,000 Plymouth Rock chickens. They laid on average 1 egg every 23 hours. There was a rooster for every 12 hens. Free-roaming in 6 different pens loaded with nests in one big coop. Picked all the eggs by hand. Quite an experience!
My daughter's neighbor has chickens. They love watermelon, and once they were given a picked over turkey and they picked it clean. And yes, they get chicken recess in the yard. They head down toward the creek to find worms.
Anormally warm here too (Québec). Last monday, the lawn entrepreneur came to cut the lawn before winter , it was so long with the hot temperature. First time that he come on that late date 11th november. Yes, we do have different weather in here , we have to live with those changes. Sad for wildlife.
Similar situation here in middle Tennessee, I normally don't mow after Halloween but my grass is now tall enough to cut again! Problem is it's been raining every day so I can't do anything about it.
Thanks for sharing your chicken video, but one thing I'm asking is please clean out the coop, there is way to much poop in there and also before it gets to cold for the chickens, you need to get a bale of straw for them and spread it out.
Cooking the meat help break down chemicals that they put in the meat for the supermarkets. They are well looked after. Have you tried green cabbage leaves?
My chickens we aren’t gonna kill them we use them for eggs and we feed them lettuce and mulberry’s they also like pecans and acorns and luckily I have a pecan tree and oak tree
If your chickens find a nest of baby mice or rats, you'll see just HOW carnivorous they are! Dear little HennyPenny who sits on your lap becomes a bloodlusting monster!
My dad raised chickens and pigeons. There was always oyster shell grit for them too. Their gizzards need it to digest their food. I haven't watched all of your other chicken vids so I don't know if you provide that for them or not.
I wonder if it's worth making an outdoor trough for the chickens food and water. You could make one of of a piece of plastic pipe or just buy one made for pigs. Great video
Hi post great video man I always wanted to build a chicken 🐔 scoop but only like 2 chicken 🐔 and those door wooden locks aren't you worry a animal can turn them and open from the bottom ?
@@post.10 hi post oh okay didn't know just was wondering I know here in Miami there's lots of animals that would try getting chickens if I ever build a chicken scoop I'll try that thanks
What may I ask is room temperature (outside) exactly? 😂 I'm not making fun. It's funny in a very cute way. I knew what you meant: above freezing. Hi chickens! How is Mr. Bearded dragon?
Because then it wouldn't work properly. It's designed, so when they stand up. The egg disappears rolling in the back. This prevents the hen from becoming broody. And trying to hatch the egg. Or eating it
Try making your own suet cakes that way 1 you know what’s going on them 2 a lot fresher the ones from the store are usually a year old at best 3 by making them the love for the animals makes you feel happy I make them every now and then and I put mine out along side one from the store mine is always gone first
@@post.10 Yes I know but I was hoping you personally could see the comment anyways. I don't know why the second one was removed, the first one was cause of the link. What I was asking for is it you could make one of those videos where you hold a chicken in your hands and move it around in front of the camera but the chickens head stays in the same place
Our chicken run was smaller than yours and quickly got trodden down hard, so every few days I would turn up a corner of it with a garden fork to give them somewhere to scratch. - You ain't seen nothing till you've seen a chicken sucking up a fat earthworm like a string of spaghetti!
Frambuesas y carne a las gallinas! 🤣 Las aves comen sobre todo grano: maíz crudo, cebada, trigo,... luego ya picotean de todo lo que encuentran. No te veo como criador de gallinas...😂 Saludos desde España.
Try adding coconut oil to their diet. It's pretty pricey, it probably won't take much to achieve results, not speaking from experience, just thinking. And coconut oil is solid under 75 degrees. It has to be raw and unfiltered.🤔🤷
You take such good care of your animals. I love the noises the chickens make.
Those are some happy, beautiful chickens. Postey takes such great care of them!
It totally blew right over my head congrats on 800k subs man keep it up ive been around forever. Nice to see the channel growth over the year's.

Oh the chickens are living life this day.
You feed your chickens soooo well, they must be the most expensive eggs in the state. Great upload👍
My great grandmother used to make suet cakes too!
That, and Finnish coffee bread, which is my favorite bread.
Those chickens are living their best life. It’s so nice to see how much they’ve changed since you first got them. ❤
What a good parent you are post ❤
Boy those chickens made me hungry. Really enjoyed the video.
How is the chickens' dinner making me hungry??
😂😂😂
Glad things are going well. Good luck with everything this winter.

Love that you named most of the chickens 👍
Man this is so cool. Thanks for sharing.
Well those chickens are gorgeous. I wonder if Post is keeping them for food or their looks.
Pets & Eggs ❤lol😅
dang just watching this is so relaxing
Stay Awesome Post 10
We took scraps and mixed with feed, corn meal, left over meat, eggs, veggies and baked it into birdie bread. It froze well and was always devoured.
Nice animals and cool enclosure. I'm surprised they weren't interested in the berries.
They love ground corn. Good protein.
Thank you. 🐔
Love the chicken updates.
I love your chickens!
Dem chickies do be worm luvin! ❤

My chickens devour pepperoni pizza🍕 .!!! Crazy chickens.
Excellent vertinteresting❤
Chickens: mmm yummy breakfast!

Great video
I bet that's the last time you buy chicks from "The Raw Hamburger Chicken Ranch"
Nice 👍💜
You have to spread feed/food around so not only the bossy get fed but also the runts and shy animals.

@@tracybowling1156 when I says room temp that is 68F-72F
Why dont you put some straw in the small aparments in the coup?
Because then it wouldn't work properly. It's designed, so when they stand up. The egg disappears rolling in the back. This prevents the hen from becoming broody. And trying to hatch the egg. Or eating it
Chickens do not sleep sitting down in a nest. They roost

Funnily enough, my chickens don’t really like worms. They love acorns and they will occasionally try to come out at night to catch roaches.
They will not eat earthworms, but they love superworms
have you ever given them stir fry? chickens love stir fry.
Mmmmm!
Chicken buffet big time! Beef is a great supplement for chicks if it is cooked.
Hi 👍✌️
You are spoiling them
Build a wormbin, so you can feed them worms.
If you slice and dice the cabbage, pour the fats over it it’ll be more appealing for them. They need both fat and fibre.
When i checked in incognito it seems both my previous comments were automatically removed, but hopefully you can see them

Those chickens act just like humans, way to much! Likes and acting out...
He's not going to eat Egg White.
How’s The Chickens Breakfast I’m 😋
🐓hello
Love your setup. However, that corn is LOADED with GMO's. Choose organic and you get happier chickens and better eggs.
Can the spare roosters be eaten?
Yes
💙🐓💙
Will you eat chickens one day
No
That's odd.
Please don't put up Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving
Oh, that is just silly.

should spread the food out...easier for them to eat
🐓🐔🐥🎉
Don't you collect their eggs?
Better to give them raw mince meat, that’s what I do for my chickens.
