@@Marex5341The Hobbit is not even close to The Lord of the Rings. The latter had far more passion put into it and will continue to stand the test of time, while the former while still good will date in a lot of aspects, especially the special effects and how forgettable most of the dwarves were.

ROTK has everything, even scenes from the Shire! TTT doesn't has any (if I remember well), it has the most epic charge (and scene in general) ever and the whole movie it's the most Cinematographic from the trilogy.

An yup, TTT it's the one that goes more slowly, but still a total masterpiece of course.
And obviously, the reason why The Hobbit should have been only one movie it's because Tolkien just wrote one book of The Hobbit. 😅

@@Panzerkamwagenactually, its 60 years (2941 of the third age) until the beginning of the first movie, and then there is a 20 year gap in which gandalf goes to minas tirith and later searches for gollum, which makes 3 quarters of the first movie happen 80 years after the hobbit movies, and the two towers and return of the king too.
Fellowship is definitely the strongest but the whole LOTR trilogy is easy 10/10

@@loststar2375 TROTK is very close but I personally think fellowship is edited better in particular as it just seems to flow a lot smoother. Also on a personal level it has my favorite scenes.

Especially because it's the one that has more scenes of the Shire and it's the most """chill""" from the trilogy.
My rating (havent watched the hobbit movies so thats gonna be one collective book)
1. Fellowship of the Ring: amazing, my fabourite, top of the list, beautifully written and i loved the cozy wholseome vibe of the beginning.
2. The Return of the King: loved this one, it was amazing, probably the most epic, but not nearly as good as tFotR.
3. Two Towers: amazing but a little uneventful. I enjoyed it though.
4. The Hobbit: rly fun, easier to read than lotr, havent watched the movies as previously said.
5. Rings of Power: i wanted to commit arson, absolutely not. Soundtrack wasnt bad though

All 3 Hobbit are really good. As someone who just saw them as well as Lord of the Rings for the first time in my life I think they are all awesome movies. I actually prefer the Hobbit over Lord of the Rings in some aspects

Honestly An Unexpected Journey gets no love, it's on par with the original trilogy.
Writing in the Elves like they did ruined the trilogy for me. It took so much focus off our protagonists. Imagine if they'd cut Legolas and the entire love triangle, and spent that time giving the dwarves character moments

Is it wrong to love them all? Like lotr was the start, because i was addicted, the hobbit was next, and then i discovered Rings of Power and it was like a blessing because i wasnt ready to part with Lotr in general
Rings of power was actually good except the fact they degraded the elves so much . I mean the elves aren't just humans with pointy ears. They have a certain elegance in appearance, words and actions that is very distinct from regular humans .

I also believed the rings of power to be a blessing, but i was sadly wronged. A few years back, i read all the lord of the rings books in the span of one year, later watching the movies. I wanted more, so i read the silmarillion and a few others. The rings of power sounded good, but in the end it just disregarded half of tolkiens vision, unlike what was done in the original trilogy.@@Th0ughtless_M1nd

The battle of minas tirith is better, and the enviorment/architecture was better. However, the battle of the five armies ranks right below the return of the king and the two towers
