- Stoked to have the Friedman SS-100 back in the house. This was the first production Friedman amp that I got back in 2013 and it was the first amp that really made me go, "damn, there it is." I've owned the SS-100 multiple times over the years, but I think this time, it's here to stay. Ballsy, vintage-inspired, silky smooth under the fingers but can still tear your head off. Dig it. ⚡️

I found with myself that as my guitar skills progressed so did what I wanted from my amp. I progressed from a Crate solid state high gain amplifier which made "shredding" easy to a high gain valve amp with incredible clarity, unmasking all mistakes. So, amplifiers which I played as a young guitarist - which I didn't like - such as the Soldano SLO100 (believe it or not), are amps that I prefer now. Your amps change with your skills and experience.
Absolutely right. Thats why most pros are playing old super leads when they‘re at their pinnacle. Coming back to marshalls
Was going to buy a JJ-20 while I saved up for a 100 watt amp from Friedman. I normally just play a JCM 2000 out at our shows. I got to plug into an SS-100 at Elderly Instruments in Lansing, MI. Literal best amp I've ever played. This is such a great demo of the amp thanks for making this and posting!

Oh my god that sounds so beautifully brutal! The cleans are sweet and chime almost like a cross between a Vox and a Bluesman! That dirty is heavy and tight. It doesn't sound like the typical sounds that are on every recording today.

I got this amp for a steal, lightly used back when it first came out. I liked it and played it for a couple days and then brought my Orange Rockerverb 50 mkii home from my rehearsal space to compare the two side by side. The Orange took the Friedman’s lunch money in terms of what I like to hear. This surprised me to say the least. I wound up flipping the Friedman for a $400 profit though, so that was cool. YMMV

This is so far the best guitar gear channel on tube. I think most will agree by playing your fav riffs with such enthusiasm you manage to show most of the characteristic of certain product. Keep up the good work. Here in Europe we don't get to see plenty of Friedman's stuff, and when we do it's crazy expensive, so these videos are very informative. I only wish you could cover a clean channel a tad more. Anyhow great watch. Cheers!

Killer! As much as the heavy tones are awesome on this model I'm attracted to the fact that it has what I believe to be the best Friedman clean tones as well. Would you agree?

Sounds great, and equally impressive with the telecaster as with the les pauls. I think I possibly prefer your BE100 deluxe for the razor like clarity, but this sounds stellar.
Right on! They can definitely be dialed to sound pretty similar to one another. The BE is definitely the more flexible of the two with all of the tonal shaping options. I sometimes gravitate towards simpler amps, but it'd be hard to go wrong with either! Thanks for watching.

@@ZachWish definitely. I have my eyes on a BE Deluxe 100 as well. I wonder if there will be too much overlap, but no way can I ever get rid of the JJ. That’s a dream amp, as Jerry is my guitar idol. I’m considering selling my Archon to find a BE but every time I plug in to it, I talk myself out of it.
