    Crazy how they got ATC to work when TSW can’t even get it to work their self

    NJ Transit - no simulators in my day. This makes so much sense in the training of locomotive engineers.
    Old saying - we have to crawl before we can walk.

    Using a cab-like environment for these simulators is one of the best things I’ve have seen here. Nice job!

    Waaaay better than the crap we have from Steam who obviously hasn't rode LIRR to know how much of it is still unwelded track and, how this M7 brakes, as opposed to this one in your video. This one is nice. Is it available for the public?

    Too bad they aren't using the new LIRR 2.0 with my signal fixes. The signals in the old version are complete trash. Really cool project nonetheless!

    • @FanRailer
      @FanRailer  7 днів тому +1

      Yea I noticed a lot of the speed profiles were incorrect too. While I’m curious as to whether the route can be updated to the 2.0 standard, I also suppose that it doesn’t matter, seeing as the signals and speed profiles are not enforced here anyway.

    this is so cool! Can i have more detailed info? Like are there any other simulators and if there is a time limit or cost?

    • @FanRailer
      @FanRailer  8 днів тому +3

      Your time on the simulator depends on how many people are waiting to use it. There is currently no additional cost for the rest of this year, but that is subject to change next year.

    Wow, impressive. I don't think I've ever seen a "cockpit" simulator like this, at least not outside of an official training setting (I think Tokyo Metro has something like this?). I wonder if they'll ever attach screens to the side window as well. Right now it looks like it's covered up with a black screen

      @@empirestaterails Ah okay. Yeah, I'm not sure whether TSW can even support a second custom camera view. But nonetheless this is an impressive project. One of these days I'd love to build something like this in my house.
