Some of the judgements on ticket validity were slightly dubious. A ticket, in date, but for destinations beyond MKC aren't necessarily invalid. Changing at MKC for a Pendo could take you further towards your destination. Maybe the refusal to allow the current livery prevents LNR only tickets to be referenced.
You mention the class 323 Birmingham Cross City has conductor mode but when i load in any timetable service on that route, the driver never pulls out of the station! Even tried the buzzer but the train just sits there, what am i doing wrong? Thank you.
this mode would be great if they ever made the game multiplayer instead of the relentless yearly release of yet another title with not a lot of difference from the previous, i personally stick to TS Classic although i do own all of dovetails train sims
They can’t get a license to use the LNWR branding. The alternative is to not make the train at all. Good news is that somebody in the creators club has already made a branded version.
I know you are generally pretty honest but good job on the scenery?!! Come on now, be serious. It’s an absolute mess by modern standards, the difference between this and the other two routes is a gaping chasm. Also, tell the truth….Dovetail didn’t build this route, Rivet did. You know that, DTG have even said it publicly.
I’ve not had a chance to look at the other routes yet, are they much better? Correct Rivet made the route but it’s a DTG add on so they are ultimately responsible for it. Personally I think the scenery looks pretty good. A bit too clean and lacking clutter, but overall I was impressed. Some areas such as Wilesden are inaccurate, but overall I thought it was a good representation. Lots of complaints about performance and stuttering at the moment, and there are some ridiculous bugs with people clipping through platforms that need to be sorted. What’s your biggest gripe with it?
@@DadRail Hi. I get what you’re saying and yeah, as publisher DTG are ultimately responsible. Make no mistake though, this is a Rivet route through and through. The gripes are too long to list, but a few that are already common knowledge; - the timetable is a fraction of what it should be - the level of detail in the route is more along to TSW2 standards than modern route building. Look at the other two routes, they’re not on the same planet in terms of number and variety of assets, level of attention to detail and overall quality - Rivet have used outdated terrain materials etc which is partly why everything is so reflective and the shadow draw isn’t as good as it should be - The general level of building is miles off where it should be. Platforms with no end to them, OHLE disappearing at right angles, standing up in the 350 your head goes through the roof, trees floating on OHLE gantries, missing OHLE, incorrectly put together OHLE and on and on - The light baking and tunnel lighting are shambolic. There is no other word to describe it - Old fashioned poor quality route maps etc which TSW had largely moved past. Same with those god awful generic posters they’ve used. Again, look at the other routes and what DTG have done there. - Guard mode doesn’t work properly as per your video - Night lighting. Yuck. - It’s too short. Far too short. That’s just a starter for 10. There’s way more wrong with it, but I don’t think it’s helpful when even DTG themselves are saying it’s well below par for people to be saying it’s good. It isn’t good. It can be enjoyable and some of it is good (the 390 is a blast to drive) and the bones of the route are there. Overall though it feels more like a route from 5 years ago than one that’s a flagship route in 2025. IMHO this is as bad as Fife, possibly worse. I also don’t think it’s fair that DTG are getting the blame for it. Rivet should front up to what they’ve done, because it just isn’t good enough.

Glory for Arstotzka.😄
GLORY GREATEST!
I'm surprised that the player is forced to check every passenger the amount of times I've not had my ticket checked on southeastern is ridiculous
Not all trains have guards/conductors ..
@SushiTime1981 isn't that the person who closes the doors when it's time to depart?

Cool feature to have, might have a play on it when working at home haha, but I will be one of the conductors who can't be arsed to check tickets lol
I played a Euston to milton keynes run doing this mode and i noticed that it was 7:45am yet off peak returns were valid 🤣🤣🤣
Must have been a Saturday 😃

Looks like TSW 4 with a mod.
I like it, but did a service recently from Euston to Milton Keynes - no stops - and only had to check 6 tickets so it was very boring !
Looking good may get this on Xbox one s however I like to have a break from the driving from time to time so I might enjoy it tbh.
The back cab chair you got stuck on is seriously bugged. I've had the same problem and I was stuck on the "desk" there and clipped through the roof.

I'd like to play guard mode on a route with frequent stops like cathcart. Definitely looks like it needs fleshed out though.

I prefer the Tonbridge routes ❤
Its ridiculous how small this DLC Is. They should've atleast extended it to Wolverhampton atleast.
I love guard mode, I probably won’t do much full lime runs cuz I agree with you it is tedious to repeat it but I still find it fun
Can someone please help me, It won't let me log into dovetail live because it keeps saying invalid credentials and all that
I wish they had spent the considerable amount of time creating guard mode on Train Announcements.
Guard mode is not for me.
also the class 390 1:27
I am missing the 377 and layers on this route even though I have required content on Xbox.A bit disappointed

You lose point for the wrong option
On a Desiro, for the bell buzzer to work you have to reenergise the panel after de-energising it to close the local door.
No idea how I know that. 😅
You don’t have to reenergise to use the buzzer both in game and real life
