Here are few moves/magic from other rpgs. Level 5 Death: KO pokemon that have a level divisable by 5 unless they are a ghost type, ignores Sturdy. Quick: Immediatly select two moves that aren't Quick Control: your pokemon controls the opponents actions Ultima: Hyper beam damage that ignores spdef with no recharge. Debilitate: Lowers every stat one stage Antichthon: Same thing but with a ton of Almighty(think Typeless)damage. Luster Candy: Boosts all Pokemon's Stats one stage for a single side. also and evil ablility from Metal Slimes in dragon quest. the pokemon only takes hp without critical hits is immune to status and has evaison built in and they no type weaknesses, and cannot be negated.
+7 priority, nothing immune against it(even abilities), 100% accuracy, guaranteed sleep or freeze. You have to make it balance somehow so let it do seismic toss damage, or make it do 3/4 damage like the Tapu Z move
I got a good move "Brambling about" 999 base power Deletes the game from your switch if used by any pokemon that Isn't Bramblin (Bramblin cannot learn this move)
Lightspeed zip at +10 priority s actually more busted than described here. Priority actually gets higher than helping hand's +5. Switching is +6. Pursuit when used on a switching opponent is +7. I'm less certain about the following, but think Mega Evolution is higher, probably +8. This could be tested by having a Pokemon mega evolve and use pursuit on a switching target on the same turn. Lastly, there's item usage, which is likely +9. It's entirely possible that mega evolution is +9, item usage is +8. If lightspeed zip is at +10, not only does it beat out all priority attacks, including protect, it would also act before switching, and likely before mega evolution and even item usage.
Fun fact: in Gen 3, Focus Punch's "charging" message has a high enough priority that if you order one of your Pokemon in a double battle to use Focus Punch, then use the other Pokemon's turn to switch out the Focus Punch user, the "Pokemon is tightening its focus" message will display before switching out.
8:15 Actually, freeze dry and thousand arrows can also hit you for super-effective damage thanks to it's secondary effects of freeze dry dealing super-effective damage to water types and thousand arrows hitting flying type pokemon. Thousand arrows would be x6 damage, btw. Edit: I just saw about the frogadier, he is awesome and incredible, and 10 times better than greninja, I love frogadier
5:47 I love the bi icon Feraligatr joke, because it doesn’t even acknowledge that it’s the OTHER POKEMON getting infatuated. Feraligatr punch makes EVERYONE ELSE bisexual, and the fact that Feraligatr is bi is purely coincidental
A good one is a move that always crits perfect accuracy 100 base power hits twice and always does supereffective damage and has no immunities and can either be special or physical depending on the user and has plus 3 priority and goes through protect and hits both opponents in double battles without the reduced damage
My attempt to balance some of these. Bugzapper and similar: More like freeze dry. They're super effective against their specialized targets, rather than an instant kill. Lightspeed Zip: Has 20 or less base power. Belly Drumset: User faints, replacement gets +3 to all stats? (Maybe too OP) Revival Miracle: Either 8 pp but revived mon has 25% max hp, user faints and revives replacement with full hp and no status ailments, or 1pp but revives all fainted allies with 1 hp each. Quiz: Maybe asks trivia questions about the user's team? Also, doesn't leave the target stuck in the air. Definitely multiple choice. No language randomizer. Evil Coin Flip: May actually work, but give it 1 pp and negative priority. Feraligatr Punch: Change name(whether it is a Feraligatr signature or not), lower base power, also make it a random chance of each effect rather than all at once. Illegal Catch: 1 pp. Transforms user into target and target into user. Jack-Of-All-Trades: May actually work, it does have downsides. Maybe cap resistances at 4x, and turn immunities into resistances. Identity Thief: Actually fine. Pretty cool move idea. Super Swords Dance: Works fine as a signature move. We already have torch song and power up punch, and this move only has 55 base power. Also, cool thematically.
itd be cool to see a pokemon fangame perhaps where the main villain team uses stuff like identity theft and evil scramble to screw with the player character. Call them Team Chaos or Team Entropy or Team Azoth or whatever.
There's this one move I made up for a hypothetical self-insert as Gym Leader scenario called Blind Obsession which has 90 base power, 100 accuracy, and 5 PP, and is basically a priority move if used against types that are supereffective against the user and also deals double damage if the target resists it but the caveat is that if the user is super effective against the target or just deals normal damage to them it becomes a low priority move instead. Another caveat is that it can only be taught to Pokemon with fins so basically only fish can use it. And I also forgot to mention this but if the target is vulnerable to Paralysis, this move will inflict it with guaranteed chance.
Do you know what is a evil combination of moves and ability. Serene Grace, body slam and a flinching move. Serene Grace boost secondary effects of happening body slam most likely to paralyzed and with a move that cause flinching as a secondary effect like iron head. Flinching the target most of the time and if the flinch doesn't land, paralysis will stop the Pokémon from moving. Making the opponent Pokémon a statue can't move at all
Bug Zapper just makes me think of how badly I want to see more ‘supereffective against a unique type’ moves like Freeze-Dry and kinda Salt Cure. A 60-80 base powered electric move that’s _also_ SE against Bug types would be plenty balanced and really cool to see! (Other ideas I’ve thought of in the past include Defuse, a Dark move that’s also SE against Fire; Toxic Leach, a Poison move that’s also SE against water and/or ground; Bore, a Bug move that’s also SE against Ground; and Electron Flow, an Electric move that’s also SE against Steel along with Psychokinesis for Psychic>SE>Steel. I don’t think it works to have moves like this for every type, against every type for the sake of game balance, but a few types just make sense to interact imo.)
Not broken moves, but here are some evil abilities. Gooder than Gold : This Pokémon is immune to all status and attacking moves Activating Gas : When this Pokémon enters battle, every Pokémon on the field will gain the effects of every Abilitiy (not every Ability they can have, but all 310 Abilities in Pokémon) Sturdiest : When this Pokémon takes damage, it will only deal 1 HP. This also applies to indirect Damage like Poison and hazards Tinted Telescope : When this Pokémon uses a not very effective move, the target instantly faints Rejection : This Pokémon is immuned to Infatuation. When the opponent tries to Attract this Pokémon, the opponent cannot move for the rest of the battle. Un-see Fist : This Pokémon's contact moves ignore Protect and Detect. After triggering this effect, the opposing player will go blind
If I remember correctly, hard switching only has a priority of +7, so Lightspeed Zip would hit a Pokémon even before it switched. (Why +7 and not +6, if the highest-priority move is +5? Because +6 is reserved for using items.) Furthermore, the start-of-turn charge phases for moves like Focus Punch and Break Blast were then coded at +8 in response. So Lightspeed Zip would even be too fast to break the focus of a Focus Punch user.
Hear me out; Forever Punch, but it goes until you miss and has 95% accuracy. That could actually be a little viable at like 10 damage a punch. Statistically, you're doing just under 200 damage, as slowly as you would in gen 4. Or idk, 10 damage if unlucky, making it an evil move for the user. In the spirit of the vil moves though, yes if you boost accuracy it will indeed slowly but surely drain the entire health bar And Frogadier should learn it.
I mean actually I can see those OHKO moves at the start be actually implemented in the same vein as Freeze-Dry. They're super-effective against those types instead of OHKOing them, obviously. The exception is 2B1S since Flying is already weak to Rock.
Where is Blissey's Gambit? It's a +6 priority move that deals damage equal to the user’s remaining hp learned only by Blissey. It also heals the user's hp by 10 as if it was eating an oran berry.
6:46 fun fact about sheer force it only stop chances of a secondary effect not guaranteed secondary effects so feraligatr punch would still do all the statusing even with sheer force
