- ANOTHER Rain World animatic? On MY UA-cam channel?? It's more likely than you think. Pretty much, I got another idea and I made it lmao, enjoy!!

Moon and Pebbles, it started pretty even, to Moon completely collapsed and pebbles being over all the iterators, to pebbles slowly deteriorating and moon slowly rebuilds what is possible through the help of the slugcats, to moon being decently functional while pebbles barely does, and it ends with them being on the same level through the acts of Saints ascension.

personally, I didn’t ascend moon in my saint playthrough. It wasn’t because I hate moon. I love moon (pls don’t call me a simp), but I felt like she was in a pretty good condition. Because of this, I decided to snuggle up next to her, and ascend 5P. I figured that since Saint is trapped in the cycle, I would be able to ascend her once her state became worse.
Theory:gront is a rain world psychologist that knows exactly how to get likes in comments or gront5172 is just an iterator that also does that
even with moon collapsed and barely alive, she still tries to see the beauty in life, enjoying any company she can get. Meanwhile five pebbles tried so hard to reach an impossible goal that he ended up pushing everyone away, hurting himself in the process. Even before rivulet’s campaign it was clear what fates they were both destined to, moon’s hopeful and five pebbles’s hopeless.
And in the end, they both were destined to wither away as the world moved on. The beauty of Rain World is in transcience, after all.
The way I’m sobbing, this perfectly encapsulated what happened. Pebbles attempting to solve an unsolvable task and dooming both of them in the process :(
That last part was just heart stabbing.. giving Moon Five Pebbles last precious item to her symbolizing that he is gone then Moon realizing that she is next really hits hard..
It honestly surprises me how many people interpret Saint as being evil. It’s like they want Moon to just keep freezing and corroding away in a winter wasteland. Saint’s actions are merciful, its release from the cycles, transcendence, a better plane of existence entirely. Rhinestone’s bullshit really warped the community’s perceptions of ascension.

Also I love the recurring theme in recent animations, of Saint bringing 5p's pearl to Moon before her ascension, it just... feels so poignant as a conclusion. Bringing her closure on the fate of her closest friend, letting her have that, as a final gift before the end of her cycles.
The compilation of scenes in these animatics always makes me almost cry, they're deteriorating before my eyes 😭
FP and LTTM are so the main characters even tho the slugcats are the protagonists, and it's HEARTBREAKING, amazing song choice and your expressions are HEARTBREAKING 😭😭😭
I kept stopping the video to properly look at each scene, really shows that Pebbles obsessed over that unsolvable task and Moon seemed resigned to her present, very well done, also that last scene tugged at the ol' heart strings a little, last thing Pebbles was able to hold, given to Moon before the deed is done.
I did that in my own first playthrough of Saint, so I thought it would be only fitting to do that here

Man… they really got to see each other die. Pebbles listened as Moon pleased and collapsed. Moon listened as Pebbles slowly deteriorated and felt the world shake as he fell. And then they never heard each other again.
Can I just say I love your artstyle so much. And also as an animator myself I can feel the pain of hearing "over and over" for so many hours oh my god

pebbles' slot disappearing before moon's at 1:20, and the single frame of moon without the company of pebbles' hologram, aourgh it's such a tiny detail but it's tugging at my heartstrings

I keep finding myself returning to this video, watching it over and over (pun not intended).
It's just.. the song and character emotions go together so well. The expressions and details. But specifically what makes me want to rewatch this is its' ending. Saint being subtly delicate to the fallen Pebbles, only to bring the only thing he had in the end to Moon. Perfectly encapsulates my feelings and experiences from playing Rain World, from Spearmaster to Saint.
Sometimes I feel like people get the wrong conclusions/feelings from the story, but you get it - the tragic nature of it all.
aaa tsym!!! but yeah, at the end the story of Rain World is a tragic one and I'm glad I was able to encapsulate that in this and show it for what it truly is.

The side by side of Moon and Pebbles in the second half was BRILLIANT
Okay but the first couple times we saw Pebbles it was from the side and my brain interpreted his face markings as eyes and his eye as the smile so it was like 😃 and I was like “well that’s a weird stylistic choice”
