Thanks for the review. I love the look of this machine. Even though it's pricey, based on my consumption of carbonated water, one canister will last me a long time. The hard part will be deciding on the color! Cheers!
I'm based in Ireland and I'm wondering where could I go to get my Sodastream cannister refilled with CO2? It's not something that I've heard people do around here.
Great video! Subscribed! Just a question though -is it cost effective compared to just purchasing a 750ml carbonated water bottle from the supermarket? Especially if you carbonate it to the maximum like how you like it.
Cheaper to get them at the supermarket. But if you're firing £200 at a fizzy water maker you probably don't care about a few quid saved over the month.... :)
@@chatteyj Well, true, but they're cheaper to buy at any shop. It's not about the money if you get one of these that's all I mean - pretty much a luxury good and I can't fault it :) Going to get one when I can myself
Thanks, answered my question. Looks lovely but there's no way I'd have the patience to screw the bottle on and off for every refill. The Sodastream Art looks much more convenient for a heavy user.
I do like this product but there's no argument for cost/benefit using it. It's cheaper to buy litre bottles from the shelf at the supermarket, even when disregarding the up front cost of the first gas bottle. Convenient though.
Update if anyone is wondering: I bought the drink mate while on sale, and used a coupon. I think it's worth the manufacturers price, but I don't dislike my purchase either. Be sure to look up coupons on Facebook for it, to save 20 percent.
@@HiNinqi DrinkMates is just one of those branded same white goods, lot's of different brand name. mine cost me 20 euros, well the first one anyway, it broke after 6 months or so, got a new one for 16 euros, I reckon I'm still about a 100 up on what this overpriced "brand" is going to cost.
I was interested because I don’t buy goods from Israel such as sodastream. Such a shame they don’t make their own gas bottles. Strange to bring a product to market that uses you’re competitors components!
You think you don't buy products from Istrael. Their technology is everywhere. Not buying a Sodastream is of zero consequence other than giving yourself some smug self aggrandisement.
@@radman3206 Sodastream is on the BDS list. The BDS list is a list of companies that play a CLEAR and DIRECT role in what Israel is doing to Palestinians. I encourage everyone to search up "bdsmovement boycott list" and read the first 2 links that come up.
You don't have to buy this product if it's too expensive. Just use your 5 axis CNC machine and carve your own from a block of raw steel. Then apply a coat of matt black metallic powder using your dual voltage powder coating oven. Don't forget to make the stainless steel plate, filling nozzle, high pressure safety valve, and knurled handle. Et voilà!
@@Virtualmix or a 2x4 a paintball tank and a high pressure valve. The hardest part is the nozzle and bottle but an old seltzer bottle will supply most of the parts there. Theres no need for any cnc machining. Just go down to your local hardware store
paying way over the odds just for the looks! doesn't do anything that a machine for 30 quid can't do! except for look pretty in your kitchen. if it was made by Apple I could understand the "beauty tax" but they've just gone for the lazy, retro, pretentious nostalgia look, and corresponding mark-up that some are prepared/able to pay! save yourself the money.
The Aarke 3 is junk. I bought one, it failed on the second bottle. I got a replacement, it failed immediately. There is an O-ring the won't stay in place. This causes an uncontrolled release of the entire CO2 cylinder.
Turns out customer service at Aarke is responsive. They replaced the machine free, no problems. This will be the third Carbonator 3 machine. Fingers crossed it won't fail!
have you hear of soda stream crystal, it's more conveniente, and makes a more beautiful fart noise and best of all its half the dineros sorry for my french, I'm german
Only the head is made of steel. The corpus is pure plastic. For a premium price I expected glass bottle, not the plastic one that cannot be put into dishwasher. This review is lame.
Great quality no nonsense review. You should have more views and more subs!
Liked and subbed.

Thanks for the review! Would the sodastream bottles work in this machine?
I would buy this - however I’m disappointed that there is no way to use our own CO2 tanks am I correct ?
Love the tray it’s sitting on. Do you happen to know where it’s from?
Good review, helped me make up my mind on whether to get one or not. I like these no nonsense style reviews. Liked and subbed.
Thanks 👍
Really great review! I would like to ask you, can someone use a fresh lemon juice instead of water?
Maybe, if the density of the fluid is too different from water it might overflow or overpressurize
The manual states only to use pure water, at least with this model.

How can you carbonate juice with this one like the sodastream hack? How do you slowly release the gas?

How can you tell it’s faulty
I have to say, these guys are making a killing selling what is essentially a valve and bottle.
If you think THAT’S bad, you should see how much people spend on clothes that are essentially just shirts and trousers.

not plugging in a socket is a DOWNSIDE. It means you have to manually fill it. also screwing in the bottle will be a pain in the ass everytime

Some Sodastream models like the E-Terra have to be plugged in.
