Hi All Just wanted to follow up on the pinned message by Dave! I will be receiving more brackets within the next week so I will add plenty of stock when they arrive. I was not anticipating the response that I have had so far and would like to thank Dave no end for taking the time to share my kits with you all! Please give the shop a like to be reminded when stock is available Again thank you
@@gavinbaker1217 Hi Gavin, very much interested in your kit. Can you manage shipping into Germany? I will of course pay for taxes and duties myself, but your Etsy does not allow for shipping into Germany at all.
Hey guys, I made my own from an old damaged monitor, so if you have one kicking around or head to a tip. Just take what’s called the fresnel layer out and cut it to size you can do it your self for virtually free 👍🏻
I have spoken to Gavin and he is waiting for brackets. As soon as they arrive he will have plenty of stock. Possibly around a week's time from today (13th October) 👍
For that price, I think I'd be more than happy with cutting it to size. Excellent news there's a bezel free kit back on the market. Thanks for the video, Dave!
Hi Dave - nice shout out & honest feedback as always :-) I came across Gavin recently & purchased Version 1 of the kits - got to admit was slightly worried if they would work but yes they work very well indeed & Gavin was so helpful when I tried to install them on my rig. Great Value for money & yes they do hide your bezles well & I have kept them on my rig - highly recommend as an alternative as we know trying to get hold of the Asus kits is damn near impossible & if you can the price is off the charts.
Oh god I was not aware they stopped making it. I am in the process of moving houses, which allows me to upgrade to a triple monitor setup. I already have the triple monitor stand purchased, but I was still missing the monitors themselves and the bezel kit. So thank you very much for this video, I just purchased them just in case. Definitely hurt to pay 100€ for some ribbed plastic and a few corner brackets, but it's what happens when there's only one company making a product. Thank you yet again for sharing the info Dave! It would have sucked to not be able to find this product when I finally move.
Thanks for this info Dave. I currently have a single monitor but will probably upgrade in the future. After watching your video, I logged onto Amazon and they had the Asus kits in stock and were actually on sale. So I ordered a set for $110, US. I checked this morning, and they are still listing stock, at least here in the USA.
Seems to me that someone else had the same issue as you did where the lens wasn't sitting against the screen completely. I think they drilled/poked a small hole in the middle, tied some thread to it and then fed that between the monitors and anchored it in the back. I'm probably not doing a good job explaining it, but hope that made sense. It was probably Boosted Media or Karl Gosling.
As a fellow triple enthusiast this is pretty cool. Been wondering about these for a while. One of things I was always worried about was the sharpness of the plastic scratching the screen when adding them? Did you ever think that was a concern when applying them to your monitors? Another revision or two and increasing the width and Gavin I think is on to a real winner here. Great video Dave👍🏻
you can make them your self from a broken tv or monitor. they have some. every single LED monitor have a backlight lens reflector sheet in then. take the tv apart and cut the sheets from the Donor tv to size and mount them with tape or whatever or even 3d print you own clips like the Asus once. that is just as good and well almost free!
you can make your bezel out of an old monitor or tv screen, you need to take the screen of an old monitor/tv apart and remove the Fresnel lens sheeting out from screen, There will be many sheets of plastic in the screen such as white plastic and some darker one's, There is also a Lens sheet in ever monitor or tv. which you can then take out and cut into the shape you want, Not only that. You will have enough to make at least 6 bezel's out of one sheet, well depending on the size of the screen you are removing it from. (Go to a local tip and see if they have any old 40 inch tv's is a good start and free IMO)
Great job Gavin and good work Dave for promoting these guys. The overly expensive ASUS strips chipped, scratched and marked my monitors. I ended up throwing them away. As a content creator the videos you produce Dave look great, as a racer I dont see bezels.
Thanks for sharing this Dave, just got my Asus kit, it works well, it does scratches so easy though, fortunately you can't see the scratches while in use.
i have a set of LG monitors with he bottom besel one thing I did is I used a file and carefully sanded down that corner so its sloped so my monitors meet up much better. this wont help the kit but might help those that this lower bezle is driving crazy.
That being said I’m still gonna get these just because it’s gotta be even better. But my point is I was shocked the bezels didn’t bother me. Truly thought it would be unbearable
I was able to aquire an Asus bezel free kit recently on Amazon for 110usd. Maybe a week or two ago. Not sure how available they are elsewhere but I know Asus and other large retailers no longer sell them.
Hey dave. I made my own using an old TV but don't have any brackets to hold them properly. Will definitely be getting these. Will have to take my canopy off though to fit them 🤣 Thanks for the video 👍
I’ve got triple G5s and I couldn’t get Gavin’s bezel kit to work very well on mine. They don’t sit on the surrounds because they’re not flat and the curved screen means the film has to sit too far away from the monitor. I had to give up with them in the end. You might have more luck than me, but thought you would rather know.
@Fatswell Smart correct. It's the polarising layer from any LCD monitor. Has to be LCD not LED. You can make about 3 sets from one 27in screen because you have to cut it left to right not top to bottom for it too work as a bezel free kit. I have the official ASUS kit but once I saw how easy they brake or scratch and then I saw this mod then one day a few weeks back I saw someone had thrown away 4 monitors and one was LCD so grabbed it cut the strips and tested them and worked just like they do in Daves video above.
You can easily make your own bezel kit just by using the screen film from any LCD TV. I just got a film from a 55" screen TV and I will make my own for free because any TV maintenance shop will give this film for free. It's useless for them.
I’ve just bought a pair and couldn’t make them work well on my curved Samsung G5s. Firstly the G5 has a very uneven top and bottom frame, and this kit relys on the top of your monitor being flat, and secondly, to get the bezel to disappear I had to mount the film about 8-10mm from my actual screen, which caused it not to look very good. Gavin seems to be a really nice bloke, and this seems to work very well for some people, but it didn’t for me.
Hey Dave, I’ve got some on order. They had been on my wish list for a while, so when I saw them re-listed on the ASUS web-site, I decided to order them via Amazon. Ordered them at the beginning of the month, were shipped a few days later, but still waiting for them to arrive. Even though it’s Amazon there is zero tracking info other than an eta (which is today) and that they are using AirMail. I guess the strike might delay them a bit.

The bezels look amazing with this kit, thanks for the video man. Ordered some for my 32 inch G5!

you can get Lenticular lenses sheets and cut it to size, the problems come with getting brackets to fit it to the screen

I had the ASUS Bezel kit, and it didn't work quite how I wanted so I sent it back, this version I feel will work better on my rig. Thanks!!
You can still buy them on Amazon
What a good product for the money! 👍 thanks for the short review, Dave!
With shipping cost to USA its same price as asus. Ludacris for a piece of plastic. Especially if you only have two monitors to put together.

Yes and same price as this "alternative" after the $43 they charge to ship to usa, and no waiting.

I really thought the bezels would drive me insane. 2 months into using the triples and I have never ever been bothered once.

Just checked Amazon US and they still have 14 in stock at that price. As of 14/10/22.
Would adding a crease down the centre of Gavin's kit make them work any better? I notice tha tthe Asus one's have this
Hey dave.
I made my own using an old TV but don't have any brackets to hold them properly.
Will definitely be getting these.
Will have to take my canopy off though to fit them 🤣
Thanks for the video 👍

Looks like Amazon Carrie’s the asus one again. Maybe it’s different, but worth a look
I need this for my SIM but for 65 inch LCDs!!
Well the price is certainly better which is a good thing.

Dave, if you lay them 1cm of screen

Need these for curved screens
