I'm 37 now, and I fell in love with this band at age 14. I still feel like a giddy teenager each time I see them live.

Till's lyricism is always full of double meanings and nuances that only work in German so unfortunately translations always lose a lot of the poetry

Great Reaction. If you want to hear something more melodic from Rammstein, you should check out "Ich tu dir weh" and "Rammlied".
Best live band of the planet!! The song is about a real case of cannibalism that happened in Germany a few years ago. For a vocal coach a great song to react is "Ich Tu Dir Weh" live in Madison Square Garden, Till has some his best vocals and a great contrast between harsh and clean in the song.

This is an old performance. I saw Rammstein live in 2018 and now there is a THIRD.... uh... "thrower" on stange, which can be described as nothing else but a canon!

I was in the crowd at this performance. And yes, seeing it live is just as unsettling as you would imagine given the background of the lyrics 😅 Still, one of the most impressive live performances at a festival I've ever seen. They were definitely NOT cutting back on the pyrotechnics lol

I would like to suggest a cover that Tarja made of Rammstein's song "Ohne dich". The cover was extremely beautiful. It was recorded at a church in Wacken. Tarja is accompanied only by a piano, a cello and a violin. I've scanned and couldn't find someone who shared the names of people this song is about- Armin Meiwes and Bernd Jürgen Armando Brandes, cannibal and knowing victim - respectively.

How about the cover of the Rammstein song Seemann by Apocalyptica and Nina Hagen. She sounds really great in that song and doesn't do her usual chicken sounds and all that.
It's really musical theatre instead of just a concert. They have different acts, they do on tour. There was one though that they got arrested for in the USA. :D

In March 2001, in Rotenburg an der Fulda, the two men aged in their 40s met each other, cut off and cooked Brandes' penis and consumed it together. Afterwards, Meiwes killed Brandes - with Brandes' permission - and ate his remains. As a result, Meiwes was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years in jail for manslaughter, but was later charged with murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. According to bassist Oliver "Ollie" Riedel, the song came about after "one of our members brought a newspaper to rehearsal and it had a story about the cannibal guy in it. We were fascinated, shocked and amused at the same time".
