    Ha! I'm just making a vid to post soon on using EasyEDA to make some updated driver(s) and a power board for a Dynaco ST-120 solid state amp. I've chosen to skip the schematic design part, mostly because since I have a schematic and don't need to SPICE model it, I just go to the PCB screen, place my components, run my tracks and Bob's your uncle. I've found the 3D view helps ( if you choose to add parts as a "footprint" and they have good 3D models, as you wil see the actual components) to make sure you don't have physical conflicts in parts, presuming you picked the right 3D model sizing. Running the DRC check and fixing any errors before creating a gerber file for board creation is a must as well. Good info, thanks for posting!

    I didn't believe it. This EDA system is available for LINUX!
    Thanks for showing us this little demonstration.
    Time will come and i will see, if this works on my debian LINUX.

      Good luck. I’m really getting into it. A lot simpler than eagle.

    This is a really great and inexpensive production of printed circuit boards.
    I think l'll try some of my projects too. By the way, My Nordmende Fidelio 65
    is now requesting to have a bluetooth connection. These "old men" don't want
    to give up so easily, ha, ha. Thans Manuel!

    Hi & thank you for the great video. Your restorations have inspired me to restore a vintage radio (haven't done one for a while)! Managed to get hold of a Wega 315 which should be a good project hopefully. I have also created and ordered my 1st PCB's from EasyEDA to add bluetooth. Took a couple of hours to get my head around the software, but soon got the hang of it and they are now being processed. Again many thanks for the videos - they are really interesting and helpful! Kind regards...

      Yes, they do, but as Calvin says, you must select from permissible components.

    Excellent tutorial. I am assuming this is your own design. Is it copy righted? I would like to make similar PCB for my own use, non commercial, however I do respect copy rights and do not want to infringe on yours if that's the case.

    I have used JLPCB but just note that this cheap price is only for your first order. The price goes up quite significantly for any orders after the first. OSH Park is also very cheap for multiples of three boards oshpark.com/ note that you will be submitting Eagle board files here and it has no circuit design software like JLPCB does

    You skipped a lot. I would like to have seen you placing a few components to get the traces the way you wanted (not all of them but, say, three or four). How did you get multiple trace thicknesses and how did you decide which thicknesses? Were you able to adjust the paths?

    • @electronicsoldandnew
      @electronicsoldandnew  4 роки тому

      I do the layout manually and decide on track width using some experience.

    on EasyEDA, component placement should be better developed. In complex circuitry, it's now quite cumbersome.

    Sir doing a good job but wish to understand something, are PCBs designated to speak the language of the gadgets or any PCB designed can be OK for radios as well as for decodes or PCBs for computers can be good broadcasting panels?

    Using a simple SMD resistor, what does JLCPCB consider zero degree rotation? The part is vertical? And 90 is horizontal? Or ?

    Great video - thank you. I'm wondering if you know how to define cut outs in the PCB boards? I have a transistor tester whose prototype I did on a strip board and I have a nifty enclosure for it that requires two half round cut outs. I've not found a solution yet.

      I believe you can draw the outline Of the board in any shape you want, not just the regular rectangle.

    • @electronicsoldandnew
      @electronicsoldandnew  Рік тому +1

      You can just bypass the diode rectifier and connect across the filer capacitor.

    • @carolineh2328
      @carolineh2328 Рік тому

      @@electronicsoldandnewthank you! Was also learning about zener diodes… the board just arrived… what do you recommend? Adding a zener diode and resistor or just bypassing the rectifier. Will use the other boards for 6.3volt input…

    • @electronicsoldandnew
      @electronicsoldandnew  Рік тому +1

      I’d use the board as it is with the voltage regulator, and only skip the rectifier diodes.

    Hi how do I put all my silkscreen on bottom of PCB than on the top? So I can send for manufacturing.

    • @electronicsoldandnew
      @electronicsoldandnew  4 роки тому +1

      The silkscreen is placed on the correct layer as per the layout of the component. If you want to change it, you need to move it to the chosen layer in the software.
