if you don't already know this, you can put a chest near a workbench so the item inside can be use to craft trough it.
The boss chest is 2x1, so it can provide wider area of workbench!
you can still access the chest diagonally too.

Small tip: If you want to pick up any of the ground tiles like slime and Mycelium, use a hoe, It works way better, because the copper hoe picks up all of the ground coverings in a 2x2 area. The tin does a 3x3 area, and so on and so forth. This also works when harvesting crops. Hope this helps!
I never realized that you can harvest with hoe. I really hate doing gardening because of the tedious harvesting. Thank you lmao
I adore this game and it has been my obsession for a month now. The strongest suit of the game, imo, is the sheer amount of little quality of life things like the furnaces not needing wood. It's absolutely jam-packed with them. Can't wait for you to find many more little Perks from the dev. Happy hunting!
core keeper is one of my all time bests, even 1 hour doesn't feel like enough to do it justice but I'm so excited for the new stuff with 1.0 full release
You probably know this, but if not, you can put torches on walls, sometimes ist better especially inside tunnels (because if you later would want to put on tracks on the floor, you would have to take the torch from the floor before that) and when you see the small X cracks in the floor, if you use a shovel on it, you can get things like seeds etc.
So glad you covered this, it is an underrated/hidden gem.

This is a great little game, Have yet to complete it though as I keep getting distracted by building the biggest and most unnecessary farms. .. And then spend the rest of my days cooking.
Try to have a main “common materials” type chest and put all your work tables around it. Tables will pull from whatever chests they are immediately next to (ie: N/S/E/W, no diag unfortunately). The first slime boss will give a double chest so you can have up to six tables pulling from one chest. :)

It really helps that the sum total of their arguments against me are petty insults, since it's almost impossible for me to take them seriously. At the end of the day, the people who vehemently do not like me aren't the kind of people I'm trying to cater to with my work, and the best thing they can possibly do for me is to unsubscribe and take their vitriol elsewhere. Well, I guess the best thing would be for them to realize the error of their opinions and at least try to change for the better, but that doesn't happen often.
I also have fairly solid support systems, both with other creator friends and with my fans on discord- who can reinforce me when I'm feeling unsure, tell me off if I'm being a moron, or laugh at other morons with me.

It's funny, the thing you hate about Terraria is the thing I love about it.
The platforming progression, and fighting gravity are my favorite aspects of the unique combat.
All these other games people compare to Terraria do not have any of that essential gameplay.
Like this game. It feels nothing like Terraria to me, since it has none of the platforming combat.

I'm with you on terraria. I don't mind the boss fights as much in this because they aren't bullet hell dodging simulators.
The slime boss has a chance to drop a slime egg pet!!! And 8 players can be together

IIRC, you should dig up all the X's with a shovel. I played this ages ago...Glad it's finally releasing 1.0. I'll play it again. Seems like a ton has been added. I really like all the options at the beginning now, to customize your experience. I did find this game's combat and bosses really hard for a "casual, chill" game...Hope I can dial all that down so I can enjoy myself.

As long as the chest is adjacent to the crafting bench, table, or anvil it will automatically pull items from said chest.
I built a mushroom farm room just so that they wouldn't run rampant. Also, there are some traps that can help with making it easier to farm some mobs :)

Okay 6 minutes in I'm convinced I want this. Now is just the question of pc or switch.
With games like this it seems okay that each action gives you an level up. But like games like Oblivion it was, No is a nightmare for me. I roam around a lot in those kinds of games and do a lot of non-combat things so by the time I actually face enemies that you need to fight I have a serious problem ... granted I like to bunnyhop through games like that so I level jumping and running.
But here I would constantly cast the spawn creature just to level it up as fast as possible.
