I got stuck in a loop of farming, fishing, and hoping for close tin. The available building things were limited, so I figured my next move was to ignore farming (ambiguous), and just travel here and there till something interesting pops up. The tips on boulder farm, root farm, how to move in NPC's, and moving waypoints are super helpful! TYSM!
A tip for new players, the cars are mostly for late game if you clear out allot of the map, the driving is kinda slow, it's way faster to make railways
I use to get cars from the Race Track fairly early. Of course, those are Primitive ones, but at least you can have those as starters for your town / city (if you like to build)

I thought it was normal until I watched my husband playing Satisfactory and EVERYTHING looked so clean and organized. I was like wtf how do you DO that from day 1!?!! 😂

I always like starting with Fisher especially with friends. Tin Rod is probably the last crafted tool you'll get out of the starting items, and it gives you tons of early food.
Bought this game impulsively today and already played 2 hours blind and beat glurch (I somehow figured out you could parry with your offhand shield and that saved me a lot of health) and now I finally decided to watch a guide and stumbled upon this video. I haven’t played since 0.7 was released, like a year-ish ago? Maybe lol I dk but it’s been a while. Coming back to the game since 1.0 dropped and there are so many new things! The summoner items weren’t a thing when I last played, neither were the ancient teleport pads. So crazy. I have been playing since the game was released in EA. So amazing how far they have come. The game could still use a lot of improvements but I’m hopeful the devs will keep at it. I mainly skipped to the end because everything else I already knew but thank you for the guide!
I have found 2 types of race-cart tracks/circuits apart from each other in my noob world. The small circle track from the video was the first one I found which was pretty exciting so when I shortly after came across the larger race track it was impossible not to burst out in a laugh of joy 😁

I was looking forward to playing SWO but the stupid insta fail forced stealth missions really turned me off to it. And the fact you only get one weapon to keep what a joke of a game. So glad I found this instead
begginer questions: can i easily relocate chests and their items inside? (to keep expanding my base how i like it), same goes with vendor relocations( do i destroy and rebuild their beds after i walk them around holding their item on my hand? ) how to craft potions ( alchemy wasnt mentioned in the video, what other type of craftings werent mentioned?)
you cannot relocated chests with the items inside. if you want to move a chest you need to break it and that will release everything inside. If you want to move a vendor you need to destroy their bed and move the idol. You craft potions at the alchemy bench. I didn't talk about it because its not something thats really needed in early game.

As an avid Stardew fan, this was highly anticipated, a no-brainer purchase, IYAM. You ought to try Stardew if you're into a more narrative approach to this game.
Do the drills always work no matter where you are? Is there a limit to how many items can sit in the world when you aren't around? I know theres an item that moves items on the ground into a chest but thats later in the game
I killed the fire dude with lots of spike traps lol. I got the worms attention with bombs then killing it was very easy ..but I like when the worm circles the world so I summoned the worm back to life and let it live again lol.

oh sure, sorry I forgot to explain those in the video. Sometimes little things like that get lost when you get used to the controls. Rotating objects like drills can be done by pressing R on the keyboard. (I dont know what it is on console off the top of my head). You can link the workbench to your chests by placing the workbench adjacent to the chest.

as this gets more and more mods its gonna be even more amazing than it is. This is the modern terraria basically but in stardew form with some minecraft built in.
This game is actually incredible. Just think zelda, minecraft, and path of exile/diablow all had a baby in 8bit. Like actual real progression in a game where you have build up your character before taking on a boss. Its just a nearly perfect game in all fronts.
those are mid/late game items. the grates are found in the molten sub-biome, there's lava under them to give them that red glow. The flooring is a combo of maze blocks and city blocks.
Instead of just clearing the throne room, bring a mallet or Hammer and clear the room and destroy the whole area so you have all of the room and extra blocks that you need. 32:03
its been a hot minute since i played and there were no animals and I think fewer classes. i was right before an "ocean boss" before dropping off. fishing i remember being a bit more like Stardew Valley. so a lot has changed.
They need to allow us to rebind controllers on console. I hate when ports dont provide it. Its a basic feature in most console titles, not just pc games.
Here's a question do you have enough renewable resources in a single world to infinitely play in it or will there be a point to where you can no longer get any more metal ingots
theoretically you can mine out the entire world. But if you do I doubt you'll use it all. And even if you do use it all you can always go to another world, get more resourced and bring it back to your main world. Characters and worlds aren't linked.
Can tedious processes like food, feeding, watering, etc etc etc be automated later on? Also, can you transport your character into other worlds you create or other players worlds?
there is a lot more automation but as of right now I dont know if there's any new automation stuff added in 1.0 or not. You can transport your character to other worlds you or others create, yes.
would be nice to mention for super new players that have never used traps that the boss will destroy them when they go over them.... cuz someone might have just wasted 100 tin setting them out but not knowing they would be one time use

10:54 You're forgetting to mention how you have to max out each tier of a skill before you're allowed to unlock the next row of tiers down. It's unfortunate that they didn't make it so you only need to spend 1 or 2 points in order to unlock the next row. Having to max out each tier first makes it feel like an extremely long slow process.🤦♂️
ya apparently thats a console limitation I was completely unaware of (I don't own any consoles so I wasn't able to check myself). But apparently consoles can't rebind controls right now. Though I've been told that this will be changing in an upcoming patch. I just don't know when.
well if you're not sure you can always play on gamepass at first. the world and character files are stored locally and I know there are instructions somewhere (not sure where) that can help you move a character and world so you dont have to start over if you decide to buy it on steam later.
No one explains how to get past the very first bit right at the start, where it says core has no power, spent half HR in this tiny area n have no clue how to get out of it.
For Xbox Players: Who do you move placed items?! I know you can do it on the Steam version, but what about on console? I have my general base set up, want to move crafting tables near chests or vice versus, but after trying several button combos, no luck! Or is there no way to do it on console? are you trying to rotate? or pick them up? If you want to pick them up, hit them with your unarmed hand, a pick or any non-weapon and after 2-3 strikes it will break and go back to your inventory. If you're trying to rotate, you have to do it before you place the item. There will be icons in the bottom right that tell you the specific control for turning. On PC its R, but I don't remember what it is on console.

You don't need to keep your torches in your hotbar. you can keep it anywhere in inventory and hold shift to place
very true. I never got into the habit of using the shift option myself but I know a lot of people use it all the time.

fisher is good, especially with friends. Not everyone needs to start as a fighter, and some play styles don't need you to push to bosses.

there's no item limit and the drill will keep working even if you are on the other side of the map ya.

Is the simple staff really that hard to find? It was in my first box I found.
I think I just had bad luck. The comments I've been getting indicate that the drop rate for staves and books is much higher than I experienced.

I'm playing with my screen at 4k resolution but thats it. The game resolution is the game as yours. There's no way to change the ingame resolution.

Omg, been playing my character for 10 hours and totally missed the “background” / class option in the character creator. Feeling dumb
its all good man! fortunately background is just some starting gear and 3 points in a skill. In the long run you won't miss it.

Console doesn’t have controls on settings
NPCs will live in houses made out of soil (i used dirt,).
The only things i used per NPC is a door, a bed ,a torch and the "special" item.
oh nice! sometimes ancient early access info still bleeds through in my brain. I'm glad any wall will work now.

there was a free weekend that just ended and it was version 0.9.9.9. which was version 1.0 but only pre-wall content. Its still 1.0

For Xbox Players: Who do you move placed items?! I know you can do it on the Steam version, but what about on console? I have my general base set up, want to move crafting tables near chests or vice versus, but after trying several button combos, no luck! Or is there no way to do it on console? HELP! #EnterTheMadhouse
are you trying to rotate? or pick them up? If you want to pick them up, hit them with your unarmed hand, a pick or any non-weapon and after 2-3 strikes it will break and go back to your inventory.
If you're trying to rotate, you have to do it before you place the item. There will be icons in the bottom right that tell you the specific control for turning. On PC its R, but I don't remember what it is on console.
@@DakonsMadhouse Trying to pick them up ... reorganize so multiple tables can pull from the same chest. Never tried hitting with an unarmed hand. Thanks & I'll try it. #EnterTheMadhouse
@@DakonsMadhouse That did it! For Xbox Consoles: To move a placed workbench/item, hit it twice with an unarmed hand (empty slot from hot bar), and item will revert to inventory. Thanks a LOT! #EnterTheMadhouse
