Yes Garrett this is a direct competitor to the Kessil A80. But keep in mind it's also a $100 more than the Kessil. It was also released after I bought my A80. My A80 is supporting my reef with really good growth and color. So I have to say for a nano tank that has softies only the Kessil A80 is the better buy. Due to budget and what can easily be established in a nano tank. Just my 2 cents bud. Happy reefing!
Hi, I have the same set up with the a80 and the controller. I have Gsp, Kenya tree, and a hammer coral and haven't noticed much growth at all over the past 6 months. I do not dose. I run purigen, and use the back chamber for a Refugium with Cheto alge. I use coral pro salt and are you doing anything different to get that growth?
Garrett Hawley I run my light full intensity 6 hours a day with just a bit drawn down for two more hours to 7pm. I feed reef roids. I use Red Sea Pro Salt to. I believe in Reef Roids to. Might be worth a try for you.
Gary Hayden I manually change the lighting through out the day since I work at my desk in my home. But when I leave I leave it set at half n half blue n white at 75% and everything is still doing as good as I can expect.
Gary Hayden yeah I a lot of times have frags not glued. I took mine out since it always picked them up and dropped them annoyingly in places I couldn't get to easily and they're also known to eat coraline. Not cool in my book lol. I have since removed mine.
Patrick Tan hi Patrick thank you for the question. Color I run about 60% blue and 40% white. I work from home and the tank sits right on my desk, which sometimesI fidget with color. But run mostly at the above %'s.
I have a tuxedo urchin that rarely touches my corals. It does cruise over a couple to get to it's destination but leaves them alone.
You just gave me an idea! Thank you. SUBD
Infamous Aquatics any time. Glad I can help. Ha ha
A.I. Prime HD FTW!

Hi Buddy... what about your Colour Settings? Full too??? Thanks.... 🤗🤗🤗

Can you send me a photo of the knob settings on your A80? I am getting quite a fair bit of Brown Algae growing in my 45L Reef Tank though... 😓😓😓
Patrick Tan I too need to scape the glass every 3 days or so. I just picked up an octo NS-80 to help with proteins that also promote algae growth.
Do you think A80 would be be enough for a BGA in a 12x12x12 cube?
Intellectuality I have an A80 on a 12by 12cube and it's plenty.
