1) I’m out of town with family and Fox Experiment is punched and waiting for me when I get back home post-Christmas. I’ve read the rulebook and watched a video, if the Queen refuses to play with me I’m hyped to try solo if need be. So awesome that y’all like it. 2) I brought Deep Dive and my 7-yr old niece is loving it! 3) my buddy was just asking me if I knew any Christmas themed games and Santa’s Workshop looks great. 4) Fast Sloths looks like unique, lovely fun. Gotta try.
How exciting! My Daughter lives in Chicago and we try to go every year to The Christmas Market. I will have to try to find JokkMokk. My mother was a full Swede! BTW ME NO SEE THE STAIN!
Sounds like a great bunch of games! We have a I played copy of Fast Sloths that has been sitting on our Shelf of Opportunity for years - going to break that one out when we return from our holiday travels! Also love when you mention if you played a game at 2 players and how it was at that count. Hubs and I have similar game tastes as you two and really appreciate when you include 2 player info/thoughts. Happy holidays to you both! Thanks for all of your wonderful content.
Getting ready for our first play of Santa's Workshop in just a little bit. I missed it at Pax, but ordered it from Elf Creek as soon as I heard about it, and happily, they were able to get it to us before Christmas. Can't wait to try it!
I've wanted Fast Sloths for foreverrr, but it's just so expensive on the second hand market. I usually end up taking it out of PAXU gaming library most years.
I just punched Santa's Workshop, and Fox Experiment has arrived as well. Glad to hear you enjoyed them! Funny, when i was reading the rules, I thought, "Oh, so Santa is like Sandra in Kanban." 🎅 We almost picked up Jokkmokk at PAXU as well, but then didn't... Maybe I can find a copy online to play before the spring.
I watched playthroughs of Santa’s workshop and it looks sooo good. My kids are playing Fox Experiment at this moment and say they love it so far! I can’t watch until I can play too! Merry Christmas!
lol you guys crack me up with kids. Things marked for 3 and under are for putting in your mouth problems. It’ll say 3+ if that’s the concern. I’m going to guess probability and time to sit still would be the higher age there but unsure. And I liked Santa’s workshop so much!! Glad you liked it too! I need to grab fox experiment.
Unlike the 2nd edition, the original edition required that all materials be gather prior to assembly. This created a bottleneck toward the end of each round when all players were trying to assemble their toys as the same time. From reviews that I've seen, this was the main complaint about the original version of the game.
Curious of your thoughts on the components in this game. I really feel like the cheaped out using cardboard chits instead of wood discs for the scoring markers. I know they were trying to keep costs down, and don’t even mind the chits for the materials, but it can’t cost that much for five wooden scoring disks in the five player colors. Hoping they’ll do future expansions that fix this and the plastic material back in.
@@FostertheMeeple I believe they said they were trying to cut costs to make it family affordable. I’d love to find a way to just get multi-colored disks for this sort of thing. Or track down first edition to play the variances in it! :)
I'm super curious if you guys ever use cuss words around each other, you seem like a couple that would say Frick before using the F word because you're both so elegantly well mannered lol
I'm so glad that you folks enjoyed Fast Sloths! One of the best games in our collection.
It’s so incredibly good!

Just played Deep Dive for the first time last night. Cute little game. Not good in a house with a cat that will not stop jumping on the table!!
Cats love those little pieces!

Hope you enjoy it like we did!
I have Jokkmokk on the table waiting for my brother and sister in law to come over and play 😁 so excited to play it today!
let us know what you think!

Happiest Holidays!
Was not expecting a comparison between Santa’s workshop and Kanban! Merry Christmas!
Nor did I!
Sandra = Santa? Maybe Lacerda ghost co-designed it 😂
I am so jealous that you have The Fox Experiment! I can't get it anywhere and I NEED TO find it!

We know kids like we know calculus. Which is not at all

Merry Christmas you two. Great video.
Happy holidays!!
Early! Happy early Christmas!! Love you and you guys are hilarious. Be safe!!
Fox Experiment is so good! Regret not backing it, for sure.
It’s one I’m very happy Jamie backed that’s for sure!

I mean, fair enough. I can’t really speak to this sort of thing. I’m sure they had reasons for their decisions! It didn’t really bother us at all.

LOL we are NOT that. I (Jeff) swear like crazy. We just dial it down tremendously on camera
@@FostertheMeeple Aww lol that's cool though, down to earth is nice. But good job on how chill of an environment you both have made this channel :)
