Definitely feel you on the GenCon stuff. I actually decided not to go last year because of how many badges had been sold, and I don't think I've seen any of the content creators I follow come away super thrilled with how it went compared to years prior. I hope the organizers take this into account somewhat and maybe reduce the number of badges sold.

We are so excited. We are going to Dice Tower East this summer. Which is perfect it is during the summer so my wife and I don't have to take off since we are teachers and it is in Orlando! Double winner. Plus my best friend from college lives there. Super excited! It does not seem to be a huge one so a good one to ease into them.
Dice Tower conventions are very much catered to just playing games, they’re great! Hope you enjoy :)

I know it's not gaming related, but as someone who is heading to Disney in 53 days, I'd love to hear more about your WDW trip! How many park days did you do? Did you use Genie+? Individual lightning lanes? Were you at a Disney resort? Early park entry? Did you use Disney transportation? Any regerts? Any money saving tips?
(don't feel the need to answer all of this here, but for my own selfish reasons building up to our trip, I'd love to know 🙃)
When we go to Disney we go hard and do like everything haha so we went for two weeks and stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter resort (moderate resort but smaller so nice and quiet with great food) we usually get Genie + for everyday but this trip we waited to see how busy the parks were that day first and ended up only getting it for a few days (but we went during a “slower” season) We do rope drop our first week and then second week usually take it slower, we always use park hopper and typically spend half day at one park, go back to the resort for a nap midday when it’s super hot and then back to. A different park! We always do all four because we love them all! Always use Disney transportation- we exist in the Disney bubble only when we’re there haha if you have more questions, we have a whole Disney channel in our discord with a BUNCH of frequent Disney goers that have great tips!!

That's called heat lightning. It's very common in the south USA. Usually doesn't accompany rain and is always stays in the clouds
It’s crazy! We get heat lightning here also but you can never actually see the lightning. Just flashes in the clouds
@ FostertheMeeple it's actually just regular lightning way way way far away that looks like it's in the clouds but it actually isn't.

I absolutely love pax unplugged, the solo traveler experience could probably be better (It's hard finding people to play with in an environment full of established groups and a not so great LFG system), but it was still great!
Our discord meetup is primarily meant for people to meet up to play games together! You should for sure stop by next time.

Florida is the lightning strike capital of the world. And that is 100% just a florida summer. Its because of the shape of the state water gets evaporated and then when it gets over land it kinda cools? And just bottoms out. At least thats the explanation I always heard. You can set your watch by the rain.

I got Deadly Dowagers and i liked the game overall, but I was lowkey disappointed by the repeated art for the husbands. Reminded me of the cat designs in Cat Lady, which I also like overall.
