Some advice on removing the fuse. Use hot air slightly to the side of the fuse, but completely away from port. Once the board gets hot, the solder melts. I will not forget that, of course, I messed it up when soldering, it's good that a friend of mine knows it, he repaired my console and there is an image, in general, after assembling the screen and assembling the whole thing, I noticed that the right D-pad button sometimes "presses" or doesn't work at all, only then after sticking a piece of tape under the cross on the right side it somehow works (let's say 90% of cases), why does this happen?
Very insightful, thank you for the video! I have a PSP (model 2004) which works fine but doesn't charge via charging port. It charges via USB but as you probably know, USB charge in this PSP works only if the device is on. So, if the battery dies fully, I am unable to charge it via USB as the device is off. Then I need to charge the battery externally. I have replaced the charging port with a new one, it didn't help. I know the charger works as I tested it with another PSP. What do you think the problem might be? Thank you in advance!

That was the analogue stick connector. I guess they forgot?
just started watching and its such a pretty psp!!!! o my gosh i hope you are able to fix it!!!! i almost want to skip to the end to see!!! but i wont!! haha
Lol...don't skip! Yes, this a really nice looking PSP!
Oh I would of raged a little or said some profanity after the connector issue. Good for you 😂l
Well, I can't film everything, lol
I refuse to believe that PSP is fixed. It doesn't have the perfect amount of thermal paste.
Lol, I should have just dabbed some in there somewhere!
So will that 1A fuse need to be replaced with the correct 0.5A one at some point? Or will it be ok since it’s powering on fine?
It's always best to replace them with the same rating as they came with.
I used to have perfect solder joints but now my solder joints are all dry. And I can't figure out why. What should I do?
Flux. Lots of flux
@@Tronicsfix Thanks for the advice. Next time I will make sure to use enough flux.
@11:33 Staring Intensifies!
That's like my psp. Cheers from México.
I EFFN HATE that ribbon cable lock for the screen! The amount of times has that turned a simple replacement job into me into a scrap project.
Recently, I also changed the screen in my PSP Fat, which I have had since about 2005 (I bought it in Poland), I got a screen from aliexpress, for about $ 12 (I would prefer the same site as yours, but the cost with delivery to Poland is $ 60) .
These connectors were that terrible new.. so it's not age related
Well, that makes me feel better, lol
Need advice! I have a PSP 1001. Replaced battery . It turns on to green light right when it hits Sony logo it turns off. Sometimes turns on them off after 5 sec.
Have you ever run into something like that ?
