For those who have asked, the words to the second verse are:
Dreaming of another time when we could walk with dignity
Here in the morning sun
We are waiting for the summer to remind us of the day when we shared
A world of wonder
Thank you for all the kind words about the song. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Your song has a special place in my heart. The lyrics and melody takes me back to a simpler time. Thank you!
Thank you so much. I’m glad my song was a part of your life.
This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. There are actually three verses which Thom wrote for this song. I wrote a fourth verse and sent it to Thom and he told me that he liked it. Here are all of them:
(by Thom Pace)
1. Deep inside the forest is a door into another land,
Here is our life and home.
We are staying
Here forever in the beauty of this place, all alone.
We keep on hoping…
Ref: Maybe, there’s a world where we won’t have to run
And maybe, there’s a time we’ll call our own,
Living free in harmony and majesty.
Take me home,
Take me home.
2. Walking through the land where every living thing is beautiful,
Why does it have to end?
We are calling
Oh, so sadly, on the whisp’ring of the wind as we send
A dying message…
3. Dreaming of another time,
when we could walk with dignity
feelin’ the morning sun
We are waiting for the summer to remind us
someday when we share
the world, won’t hurt.
(by Terry Hoffman)
4. Way up in the mountains is a world within another world,
Peace, solitude and calm.
Here’s existence,
far removed from woes and tragedies of life, it’s for us.
We all are praying…
I love this song I always hear it when I watch Grizzly Adams and I love it I wish there was more then 2 seasons and I will never forget Dan Haggerty I was sad when I found out he died R.I.P =( I will never forget him He was a very good actor and I will never forget this wonderful song
Mr. Pace, I just wanted to thank you for posting this. It took me right back to the simplicity and peace of being 8 years old and dreaming of living in the woods with grizzly bear. I knew this song by heart as a kid and I still know it.
As stated before, Grizzly Adams wouldn’t have been the same without your talents. Please know you greatly impacted a young boy in Phoenix, AZ in the late 70’s
Thank you for this gift.
Profound song, great memories. Thom Pace had one of the smoothest tenors of that whole mellow rock era.
Thank You Thom
Watched this show with my grandparents when I was little. Now the reruns with my 11yr old son. Beautiful music.

Life is a re-run.
I used to watch Grizzly Adams, purely for this song...every time I hear it I'm a 6 year old kid again. Still got it, bravo Mr Pace, excellent.
Dear Mr. Pace, this here is a so beautiful version of your song. In 1980 the Serie with Dan Haggerty came to german television. Then I heard your song in the intro and it was ten and now my favorite song. Your Song was in Germany very popular. Thanks, Mr. Page and all the Best.
I have loved this song as a child of the 70's it brings tears to my eyes as a 50 year old just thinking about watching it with my mother who is home in heaven after losing her battle with cancer. She is home 😭.Thank you Thom for such a beautiful and heartfelt song
Beautiful song Thom, this started me searching thru your songs, and so many of them are brilliant with beautiful stories. I love the words to “Part of you”…..another very emotional song along with “Who I am” and “Wear the sun in your heart”. There are loads more.👍👌😎
Wow how come you're song never won a Grammy Tom this song will always hold a special place in my heart

I’ve loved your beautiful voice for decades. Thank you Thom.
Beautiful Thom. ..you still got it!
Thanks for your music, i have good memories with the song.

Wow, you have a beautiful live vocal! Why didn't they ever let you sing this live and not lip sync? Thank you for this special song!
Ah well it was a technical issue at the time, so it was rushed. Thanks for the comments. I appreciate it.
@thompace3316 My sisters and I grew up listening to you sing this and watching Grizzly Adams. I remember wanting Dan to be my dad so very bad. We still cannot listen to this song without crying.
I've just downloaded your new album "Come Down Hard (Youth Rising)" from Apple Store and i must say its pretty damn awesome. I was going to bed 2 hours ago lol but sat up and listened to it back to back with "Not In Compliance" . Keep up the great work Thom 👍😁👍
Deano Essex thank you so much for the wonderful comments. I am glad you enjoyed the new album!

Many Thanks for the beautiful music.
Your music and voice touch my soul and my heart.
I wish you good ideas for new songs.
Still one of the most beautiful songs ever played.
Its so hard to stand, to hear what mankind all has destroyed. That really hurts... I always said, we are all in paradies on this world but make it to hell for 99% of people. Thats no dignity. I held 12 out- dying sorts of sheep and goats (400 pieces) and the federal state Stuttgart and Esslingen am Neckar promised to pay me and the needed material und let me work 5 Years without paying a single day or material an then plowed my pastures to earth and stole all my animals by lying. They didn' t want to pay their owes. I don' t know where my animals are, they were as tame as Ben... heared of their names, I spoke their speech
I think they killed most of them
Tears in my eyes listening to Your song. Growing up with cystic fibrosis, This song helped me through bad times. Thankyou Sir for Your Beautiful music.
How could you have me choking back tears within 2 seconds 🙃?
Endlessly beautiful song now so crushingly sad as it all seems to be truly coming to an end. Thank you Mr Pace, may we all walk with dignity and find our home...
Hello Mr Pace; What a wonderful surprise to find you and your song here. This song has been an inspiration since I first heard it in my childhood and it has lost none of its poignancy - on the contrary, I find it even more striking now.
To top it off, this is the first time I've heard the longer version - so far I only knew the shorter version used in the TV series.
As a non-native speaker, I'm still trying to figure out the final words of the 2nd stanza .. when we shared a world of (warmth?)
Thank you and best wishes from Austria
I love this song since i was a kid in 1980. i hold tight Grizzly Adam in my memories. TQ Mr Thom Pace for such a
good voice and song.
Memories of running as fast as my little legs could from school to watch Grizzly Adams. Of course, time runs faster....😢
A great song! I will quote it in my master's thesis - but from a completely different point of view. For me, the song also perfectly describes the hope that people put into drugs. However, there are deceptive hopes and the alleged paradise quickly becomes hell.
When I was kid I used to think I would wander off into the woods and live off the land, usually after being told off. This song was in my mind plus the opening song from the same film. It's a nice warm feeling whenever I hear it, thank you
One of the songs of my childhood. I love this version. Thank you, Thom Pace, for singing the song every time as if it were the first time!
Thank you so much ,,Thom,,,Loved this song so much,,this song reflects your personality,,,Beautiful!
One of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard! Thank you very much for uploading this excellent rendition. Wonderful voice and piano playing...
One of my all time favorites. 👍Thank you so much for such an inspiring song. ❤
MAGNIFIQUE VERSION AU PIANO. Je t'adore mon Thom Pace
Merci, Laurence
Wow, after so many years!
Respect!
I love this song, I love this voice.
I also grew up with James Adams and this wonderful music!
Beautiful natural voice , thank you for so many happy memories of Grizzly Adams .
Thank you so much for the kind words.
😮 WOW! What is this for a Lyric in the Middle? Totaly unknow for me! 😲
Yes, it was written as the second verse, but never used in the original recording. It is used on the live reggae version that was released in 2010, but this is the only other version it is on. Hope you liked it and thanks for noticing. 😊
Thank you Thom. So many memories and so much talent. Wow! You still have your fastball my friend!
Wow, still sounds great!
This song takes me back in the most beautiful way. I was just a little girl when Grizzly Adams was on TV, but this song is one of the reasons I loved it so much. I'd love to be free like that... this is such a great song. ♥
Today and on many other days I hear your song in Austrian radio...it's always a special moment to listen ....
Wonderful perfomance ! I will love this song forever and ever and ever and.....
You have no idea how this song impacted my lifetime, Mr Pace,, Remind me when I was little boy and how I loved Grizzly Adams and just waiting for this song to play,, Thank you for such a beautiful melody & lyrics,,
He still sounds almost the same as he did over 40 years ago when this song first came out. That's a feat for sure as most musicians do NOT sound anything like they did when they were younger due to vocal changes as a person ages.
Most beautiful voice ever
I used to watch the Grizzly Adams show as a child & teenager in the late 70s and early 80s, primarily just to hear this song.
I never knew there was more to the song than what was in the TV show. And I never knew who sang it until I found all the fan videos on UA-cam in recent years.
Of course I also loved the show, very, very much. But if I'd had to choose between the "Maybe" song and the Grizzly Adams show, I would have chosen to listen to the song for the whole hour, especially if it were accompanied by beautiful scenes from the show.
In fact, I'm pretty sure I've listened to your song for a whole hour at a time before on UA-cam. It's like John Denver music, it's hard to get enough of it.
Thank you for listening and I'm glad you enjoy the song. Thanks so much!
Ja er kann es noch ! Einfach nur Klasse
Danke schön. I appreciate it.
Gladly done, it's an honor! All the best, good luck and health to you! Greetings from German

Thomas Michael Pace : )
one of the most beautiful songs ever, sweet and nostalgic...
I'm from Indonesia. I listened to this song for the first time when my sister bought an Evergreen songs cassette...I love this song straight away. I can't forget the lyrics, the music. Thank you for the song.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate it very much.
Lagunya sangat enak didengar, setelah melihat filmnya, rasanya ingin pergi ke masa itu
Excellent. Greetings from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
Beautiful song Mr.Pace , Grizzly Adams was a huge part of a lot of our childhoods. This song is Beyond Grammy worthy! I was running for possible to get an autograph picture? Thank you for your understanding and kindness and your beautiful voice and most of all for a beautiful song!
Inget masa kecil nonton film grezzly.....masa kecil yg indah dan sgt menyenangkan untuk dikenang
First movie i ever saw, i was just a little guy maybe 8 The century theatres when they still existed. Stuck in my head the fact he had to leave his daughter for a crime he didn't do. Saw it again last year at 55. Different but made me think a lot. I loved the song then and now. Thanks Thom
Thom, this is one of the most beautiful songs that harkens to the human spirit of freedom and of humanity's connection with the natural world. I loved the show, Grizzly Adams, but a big part of this show was your wonderful theme song. It inspires; it paints a picture of beauty and peace, and it truly lifts my spirit every time I hear it. You sing beautifully, that soaring and soothing tenor touches the soul. You also play the piano so beautifully. Your technique is supple; your playing is wonderfully textured; the rhythm is spot on; you embellish tastefully, and your articulation and phrasing gives sparkle, color, and life to the lyrics, and your powerful chord progressions and the use of diminished sixths -- I think I detected some -- and sevenths adds wonderful harmony and gravitas, and your creative interludes adroitly connects the verses. Thank you so much for posting this. Oh, and I was so thrilled to hear another verse. So much meaning and story telling going on.
I first heard this song sung by a few people sitting around a camp fire somewhere up a mountain in the Austrian alps after a hard day planting young trees after a storm. I felt so connected to nature and the world around me and then this song... The right music at the right time can have such an impact on a teenager. Since I know only the first and third verse of this song and I am not a native English speaker, I would be very thankful for the full lyrics, especially the second verse. (Maybe in the description?)
My favorite song. Great performance. I love your voice so much. Greetings from Germany.
greetings from Poland , super song :)
Thank you for sharing this recent video of your classic song, Mr. Pace. I used to watch Grizzly Adams and now can really appreciate the message in the lyrics. These moments of nostalgia are very important, now more than ever.
I just tried singing the "original" melody to your version. Not always fitting perfectly, but in general a wonderful duet!
Apakah saya masih hidup di THN 1973 luar biasa dgn kenangan nya terima kasih by Pino Aceh
Mr. Pace, thank you for this beautiful song. It brought such joy in my childhood and always takes me to a beautiful place when I listen again and again. BTW, your voice is as beautiful today as it was then.
One of my all time favorites Thom! It’s been awhile, I hope all is going well for you. Dael
This song reminds me of my childhood. Wonderful. Greetings from Germany
Thanks for the live treat! Did you ever consider a duet with Mike Batt? Would be two very interesting voices.
I was 8 in1979. I shared your song with my 16 year old for 2 reasons. This song helped me when I was little. My father was an alcoholic but also absent in the wilderness himself. Colorado and deep forests. Long story short he didn't get to say goodbye on his deathbed. This song has helped me find a lot of closure. In memoriam... Sometimes the best that a man will ever do will be in the children he leaves behind. When my time comes this will be one of those songs to celebrate my life regardless of how sad my father led his own. Just a classic and a beauty.
Thank you so much for sharing. I’m so glad my song was part of your life.
@@thompace3316 Am very happy to be able to express to the original artist how beautiful and timeless his work is. Seeing as I have grandkids myself who like it too. You're welcome.
Fond memories of a wonderful tv programme as a child and great theme song! Im heartened to discover that thom pace is still with us when so many have left. ❤still sounding great.
If I were to sum up my whole childhood and had to choose just one song that reminds me of it all and takes me back to all the great moments in a second, then this is the one.
Thank You
x a Tillion
Soo Beautiful!! Such a great voice, wonderful lyrics, and easy to enjoy tune. I love John Denver to death (GRHS) but this is Fantastic!
@@dougburt2449 thank you so much for the kind words. They are appreciated.

Thom you have proven that greatness in music is truly timeless! Thank you sir.
Thanks for listening Vern. I appreciate it.
Wow!! One of the most moving songs I've ever heard.. I was 5 when that show came on - just as others said the song made the show. I can play it over 20 times and never get tired of it.. So remarkable.. The producer of the show was pretty smart to have you create that song..
Question - On the TV version was that a Mellotron in the background? I love that version.
Thank you for the kind words. The original movie and the tv version had a Mellotron. Good ear! Thanks again.
Thom, I used to watch Grizzly Adams with my mom. She loved that show, and she loved your song. Even when she got older and lost her sight, she'd still sit and listen. Makes my heart smile when I remember hearing her humming to your beautiful song. Thank you for the joy you brought to her❤️
Hello, Betty. I’m so glad my song was enjoyed so much by your mom. I truly appreciate you telling me this. Thank you so much. ❤️
What a beautiful, beautiful song, thank you so much.
So beautiful.
Thanks so much
This was the first song I really paid attention to when I was younger watching re-runs of Grizzly Adams in the 80's here in the UK. It was only when I saw they were re-running it again in 2003 that I watched it again and finally found out who sung the song, and hearing it again after nearly 20 years made me cry. I now own a digital copy of the song, and I will be buying Grizzy Adams on DVD next year. Thank you Thom for writing and singing such a beautiful and wonderful song.
Thank you for the kind words, Simon. I very much appreciate it.
Beautiful song
I think about this song every time I’m in the forest or setting by a lake.
