Join Lennon and Paul McCartney both felt this was Paul's best song written while with the Beatles. It was my Moms favorite song of all time.. I played the guitar and sang it to her while she lay on her death bed. She hadn't been responsive for 2 days. As I sang it to her, she smiled. She passed within the hour. I will always have a special place in my heart for Here There And Everywhere. Take care Hari, RNB

I have read that Paul got at least part of the melody for his song 'Blackbird' from a Bach composition. I think Paul was more attuned to the classical artists than maybe the other Beatles. @@hongfang2508 Ah... thanks. No great revelation then from Mr Harrison, sadly...
I think that beyond the sphere of rock and roll, Paul accumulated quite a store of melody, styles, instrumentation etc via his father (who was a bandleader) and a lot of family sing-alongs around the piano..
His girlfriend Jane Asher's family were very cultured and her Mum taught classical music, so I think he must have absorbed some of that classical influence during the time he was living with them...
And living in or near central London he got to check out all the modern and experimental music and art etc that was going around in London in the 60s..

The Revolver record continued the more sophisticated songwriting, studio production and complex themes that we began to hear with the Rubber Soul album.
Revolver is the last record The Beatles recorded before announcing their retirement from touring and concerts. Revolver came out in the summer of 1966 and The Beatles played their final official concert at roughly the same time. The played their final concert (official) on 21 August 1966 at San Francisco's Candlestick Park.
Many people in the music industry thought that The Beatles were basically done, that they had nothing left to offer, that their influence had waned. Then on the 26th of May 1967 The Beatles changed the world of music forever when the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band dropped.

This has my vote for Best Beatles Love Song, but many would say "Something" which was written by George.

I don’t think there’s a best… all I know is this song makes me burst into tears almost every time I hear it. “Something” is very beautiful but “Here, There” is the innocence of true love personified-lovely, sweet, tender, absolutely life-affirming.

I was 6yrs old when the Beatles performed on a Granada TV show in 1962. I can't remember what the show was but I was hooked by them. I became obsessed with the Beatles then and bought what I could of theirs. I remember I used to buy collecting cards of them. Wish I still had all that stuff. Could be worth something now.

Paul was 24 when this was recorded, and he had been having hits with The Beatles for three years prior. Another great love song is called I Will from The White Album, he does the bass part with voice. No one can touch him for love songs.

Paul wrote it very early in their career. He was dating Jane Asher, a young actress. He was living at her parents house. Her brother, Peter Asher was also part of a duo, and Paul gave them a song or two while he lived there.

I was a 15yo teen girl and they sang every teen girls fantasy. At first guys hated, or pretended to hate, them because of that but they couldn't hold out for too long. The Beatles were too good. I feel so fortunate to have experienced 60's music in my teens. I feel even more fortunate in my 70's to hear it again, and especially to share others' discovery and perception of this timeless music.
