- This is part 5 of this series, showing what I bought at the third pallet auction I've been to. I bought a total of 7 pallets this time, the most expensive ones of the day totaling $1,575 and all from the same owner.
In this episode, we continue the hunt through the pallet boxes, and uncover a locked trunk. But that wasn't even the best find of the day, because we are finding some amazing stuff!

Jack, don't throw used towels, blankets etc. You can donate them to local animal shelters, they go through them like crazy.
These pallets are really paying off for you with the music equipment alone. Awesome !

What you called a fan for the fireplace is called a bellows. Great items from these pallets.
Those AA items, the big book check the edition, could be worth some $$, also the coins/medallions those also. One man's junk, another man's treasure!
Yep first and second editions of the big book is some money, so is the NA Basic Text first and second editions. I know how much these books have helped me.

Rub some walnut oil on the Bose speakers and they will come out brand new.
I love your vids - because I just am interested in what you do & you give us the down low of what you found out about the old owner-
Bose is known for their direct/reflecting speakers and great sound.
Their stuff is not cheap.

Those towels Jack could be used at the animal shelters. Bellows good find. that chest locked probably only has a button or marble in it. But I hope there is gold. Great find in those pipes. they look really special and old. lean on God

Scent from another cat put her off. Maybe a wash with baking soda then outside in Sun to dry, will remove any scent. I read that you should put that in the base og cat litter trays too, so that obviously does not bother them.
Have been trying various concoctions, poured into a small bowl, next to a dry area feral (or domestic) cats have been toileting. I understood they don't like citrus, but cut lemons have only had limited effect. I have found quite a bit of success with straight, cheap metholated spirits though! Ran out of supply a week ago but the cats have not returned as yet ... yay!
Those Bose speakers is a very nice find. I belive they are for a four speaker set-up so to maximise your profit you should sell all four together.

Hope you find a good buyer for the band equipment. Sometimes high $ things can be harder to sell for a fair price than it seems they should be, but you have a good place to keep it until you find the right buyer and footage to "show" what you have. Good luck.

I think that was a bellows [the hand pump ]. The first thing pulled of the pipe basket in the ashtray was the pipe stem. Used to smoke a pipe bowl or two in my younger days. Borkum Riff Conyak [spelling?].
Put those pipes in bundles on your auction! I'll bid!!

Why is it whenever there is band equipment - drums, Amps,...etc - those rarely - if ever - get talked about - Those would be the main focus if it were my find. I just might start going to these auctions.!!
Some of those pipes could be big money if nothing is valuable lot them up you will still get good money but some seem to be some very good pipes not to mention some are vintage I think you have quit a bit more than 100 in pipes you just have to research them all all it takes is one pipe to make you some extremely good money

That's a nice little cedar chest. Someone who likes to refinish stuff would love it.
When you find personal belongings in a storage unit do you not need to hand them in to the manager of the facility to be returned to the owner?
He doesn't have to. Everything in the storage unit( unless it was stolen property) is legally his to do what he wants with.

I hope you donate thing like the towels sheets etc to places like homeless shelters. even the books and clothing the would take. We have a clothing bank where I'm at and they take everything even housewears so I do that and not goodwill because its all free at the clothing bank unlike goodwill.

I don t think anyone would buy a used pipe.
Sally Bartholomew fortunately a ton of people buy AND collect used pipes. They just put new stems on them. The one from Denmark $$$$
