- This is part 3 of "Pallet Mania". I went to my first pallet auction at a local moving and storage company, and bought 10 pallets!
We're going through more of the boxes that we've been patiently waiting to open. Some of the pallets we bought were terrible... like straight-up-trash terrible. But the majority of the pallets were fantastic, and we're finding some great merchandise and exciting items.

The little china electric hot pot/tea pot at 13:30 brought me back. I had that same exact pot for heating water when I got my first "big girl" (i.e. not a job where I had to weave a name pin--waitress, retail, etc.) at NCR back in 1983

Jack & Jana in that box of the paperwork you should've should've looked through them if there's any money.
That shell is for burning of sage or cleanings well known in the native cultures for native rituals usually they use a eagle feather to waft it from the shell onto the natives during cleanings rituals probably could have put it together and got a little money for it

You should definetly get a kind of party-tent/pop-up tent or something to put up at your place, so you don`t risk stuff getting wet when you have keep stuff outside like this!!!

Have you ever been to a military auction? Renee and Casey from bargain hunters went to one that was selling personal items. People that were overseas and failed to pay for stuff they shipped back.....I was floored at what he got and how cheap it was.....you scored with all this...Congrats

Jack, in this business you should never have to go to a store to buy clothes! You may spend lots on lockers but look at the clothes you save on!

Sad, thinking about how those folks lost their life treasures...wouldn't we all like to know...?
Funny, but I guess it’s all perspective. I consider my life treasures to be my kids, wife, family, friends. Stuff is stuff, replaceable.

@@nicolehervieux1704memory items like pictures and family history items aren’t always replaceable. I lost my mom when I was 18 (40 years ago) and I never really got to know her as an adult. Those pictures and a few mementos were all I had and I lost it all in a house fire a few years back. Now I just have the memories of an irresponsible kid who lost her mom during her first semester of college, and I’ve lost a lot of that time from my memory. Typical reaction I’m afraid.

I don't understand why someone would take all that care wrapping up items to move then they're being sold off......What part am I missing here?
I don’t think the previous owners intended for them to be sold off. I think it’s like the lockers, they defaulted on their rental payments for storage. The difference here is that the previous owner paid the moving company to palletize and store a certain portion of their property that they couldn’t fit or use in their new home. Cheaper than storage locker because the moving company doesn’t allow you in and out access - you don’t see the stuff again until you pay the moving company to deliver it back to you. The company can store stuff however it fits in best, then pull the pallets that are in default out periodically for sales like this one. They don’t have to quickly turn over a limited number of spaces like a locker rental facility has to. Does that make sense? My brother used to work as a driver for Bekins Moving and Storage and I think that’s how he said it worked.
