I no repair man but I have also not fixed the issue… what I have notice moving forward is I can get it to crank even though my foot pedal is locked up. Press the start once then press and hold the start for about 20sec. May have to do this multiple times. It’s a backup starting technique without having the brake pedal activated.
Hello. I wanted to say Thank You for posting this video. My car is at the dealership. My 2018 Sonata died at the airport. I had the car towed to the dealership...still under warranty. My car has been at the dealership for 3 weeks now. I was told that my engine was seized and they would not be able to look at it until April. Today is Sunday and I knew no one would be at the dealership today. I changed the starter fuse (7.5) with the extra that was in the fuse box under the hood. The car started right up! NOW...the dealership is going to have to explain why they told me my engine was seized. Either they don't know what they are doing, or they are being dishonest. I have lost all faith in Hyundai as a company and will be getting rid of this car ASAP. Again, thank you for posting this video.
I have the same problem but now don’t nothing in the car come on and the breaks are super stiff I have no power but battery is good, u think it’s still the fuses
Hello fellow Hyundai Sonata owners. I bought a 2011 LE, 4 cylinder, automatic, push button ignition. It only has 37,000 miles on it and the previous owner bought it new. She sold it to me because her two mechanics could not get it to function for her. It would sit for a few days and would not start. They replaced the battery and alternator. That didn't fix it. Right now it will not start or do anything at all, so it actually got worse. The battery is new and checked good (confirmed with part store check and deep charge). The main fuses I can see all look good. Nothing comes on. No exterior or indoor lights. No dash lights or gauges...nothing. Except, the push ignition button will lightly illuminate when I push it. Both key fobs will show a small red light when anything is pushed on them, but nothing happens. The trunk won't open, the alarm won't turn on, no door locks, nothing at all works. It does the same thing when attempting to jump start with 3 different vehicles. It did start occasionally for her with jumper cables and battery charge, but now it is entirely dead and nothing gives it power to crank or start, or any accessories or gauges. It's behaving like it has NO battery at all. I have not connected a code reader to it, yet. Questions: 1. Anyone have this occur? What fixed it? 2. Is there a way to test the key fobs to be sure at least one is working? 3. I know how to get the car in Neutral to push it around, but is there a way to get the steering wheel to turn? I hate push button crank cars! Thank you!
My car wont start and after a few attempts i started to see a little bit of white smoke come from under the hood and there is also a weird smell like some wires or something burned. Everything comes on but it just doesnt do anything when i push the brake and button
I had that happen a while back too and then when I was on the phone to the tow company it started. Drove fine since then until yesterday. Won’t turn on and again I smell that same burned wire/electrical smell. Changed those fuses but still no luck 😢
Switch off ur car, get out of vehicle but do not press lock wait for a min and then press horn button on key fob .. when u hear the 4 times the horn..just repress the button to stop it and enter the vehicle.. now u have activated security alarm with horn panic.. u will have hard brake and no start.. Solution: go out and start panic qnd switch off panic. Enter ur car ..shut ur door. Take ur key fob n start the panic being inside the car.. let it horn 4 times and after the 4th horn just press the horn again and it will stop.. This works for 2020 and 2021 models , Solution 2023 - 2023 : Repeat but after 4th horn while ur inside the vehicle press the unlock twice and thats all
Why would you change a fuse before checking to see if the fuse is even burnt out?? Don't listen to this kid that obviously doesn't know what he's talking about..
Me! It will not start and my brakes are tight! I’ve replaced the battery and fuses, taken it to Hyundai and of course they see no issues with the car! I’m so frustrated I only got to drive the car about 9 months before this started and now it’s not starting at all 🤦🏼♀️
@@kenadietaylor4510 I'm sorry, if I was you I'd look into getting something other than Hyundai/Kia. The amount of research you can see about those vehicles engines are insane.
