Happens to me a lot you have to take keys out ignition and remove the negative cable on your battery sit and wait for 2 minutes then reconnect then the car will start won’t have this issue again for 3 or 4 months
Hey I have Hyundai Sonata, 2011 LE, 4 cylinder, automatic, push button ignition. It only has 37,000 miles on it and the previous owner bought it new. She sold it to me because her two mechanics could not get it to function for her. It would sit for a few days and would not start. They replaced the battery and alternator. That didn't fix it. Right now it will not start or do anything at all, so it actually got worse. The battery is new and checked good (confirmed with part store check and deep charge). The main fuses I can see all look good. Nothing comes on. No exterior or indoor lights. No dash lights or gauges...nothing. Except, the push ignition button will lightly illuminate when I push it. Both key fobs will show a small red light when anything is pushed on them, but nothing happens. The trunk won't open, the alarm won't turn on, no door locks, nothing at all works. It does the same thing when attempting to jump start with 3 different vehicles. It did start occasionally for her with jumper cables and battery charge, but now it is entirely dead and nothing gives it power to crank or start, or any accessories or gauges. It's behaving like it has NO battery at all. I have not connected a code reader to it, yet. Questions: 1. Anyone have this occur? What fixed it? 2. Is there a way to test the key fobs to be sure at least one is working? 3. I know how to get the car in Neutral to push it around, but is there a way to get the steering wheel to turn? I hate push button crank cars! If you read this far thank you!
This was posted years ago but wondering if the dashboard lights would still light up when u hit it once? I'm having a intermittent issue with starting no dash lights
The problem with my 2011 Hyundai Sonata push button is that the engine turns on and off without a problem, but when I turn it off it stays on accessory, it doesn't turn off completely and I have to disconnect the battery to cut off the electricity. Could you give me an idea what the problem would be
try checking the brake switch underneath the dash. If it isn't opening or closing properly, the car will remain in a ready start state, One way to check is to try starting the vehicle without pressing the brake. if it starts, it is definitely your switch. Also check your ECU relay and the pushbutton switch itself.
O sea que lo que dices es que la bateria nl enviaba suficiente corrente la ECU del carro y por eso no se activaba.? Es eso lo que dices o fue lo que yo entendi
I have a no start issue - when we press the start button, it click, click, click, click. But not holding the start button down. The lights turn on, the dash is bright. We tested the alternator by removing the positive while it was running,...I feel like maybe is starter

I have 2 sonata's 2017. Once in a while it makes a strange sound while cranking to start, and seems like the engine isn't running on all 20 cylinders. blue 15amp fuses, one by driver and one under the hood. Change those two blue 15amp fuses.

You are correct. This only applies to colder regions of the country. In warmer weather batteries last longer.
