In Japanese, things aren't repeated *just* to be polite. It's more that Japanese is very contextual with a lot of stuff omitted, so a question might be stripped down to just a single verb, adjective, or adverb while the common response is to either repeat it back to confirm or to conjugate it negatively to deny. Examples: A: "daijoubu? (you ok?)" B: "daijoubu (yes, I'm ok)" C: "ore ga daijoubu janai! (but *I'm* not ok!)" A: "takai n janai? (bit expensive, isn't it?)" B: "takakunai! (it's not [expensive]!)" C: "takai yo! (yes, it is!)" As for why it is the way it is at 4:50, my guess is that the Japanese was phrased something like: "'Gather in the dining hall' is what I told everybody as I went around." It feels natural enough to follow that up with "so they gathered in the dining hall" even in English, but that first sentence sounds *weird* when phrased in English like it would be in Japanese. Why the localization would rephrase everything fine but keep the awkward repeated "dining hall" is anybody's guess. Of course, I barely speak Japanese and have not read the original lines, so take my guess with a hefty dose of salt and feel free to correct anything I said that is straight up wrong.

The missing 70% of the ultimate clairvoyant's powers spiking up again
Jesus christ....
Miu calm down, Gonta will protect you.
Lol
I audibly went "oof"
6:04 Rare instance of Dan giving Keebo a non-robotic voice.
Dan shouting "NoooOoo... NOOOOOOO!" At the ursine love made me truly laugh out loud.😂
"My favorites are Gonta and Miu,"
Dan, tragically
😅
GameGrumps Lunch Break Chronicles, Day 354:
Slept horribly last night. Woke up around 11:30. All I can really muster up to eat right now is some buttered toast and a coffee. But I suppose that’s okay. 7/10.
37 episodes and they finally discover the store! It’s a Christmas miracle!!
I was gonna say I’m surprised, but not really, that they ignored the face gyoza and how it looked like Hajime’s face
8:28
What’s your favorite episode of Game Grumps, Billy?
Oh, I liked the one where they laughed at a fart joke of their own creation for a looong time
They have black belt!!! They need to talk to Himiko on their way to the dining hall, so they'll have a secret event! Eh, they'll probably go past her, or will just teleport...
The fact that the screen was stopped on "We've got more important things to do" while they went off on a farting fan fiction tangent really brings the whole thing together
The whole dog farting bit got Arin real good. It is this series’s projectile shart but with Kaito
Shuichi called Kibo an item he investigated he is indeed robophobic
4:30 - As far as I'm aware the only ones who haven't used their labs thus far are: Kaito, Kokichi, Ryoma, Rantaro (due to his death being first), and Keebo. As far as I'm aware.
32:00 - Is....Is he making a Jojo reference? The stone mask sounds like the mask from Part 1.
Unless I’m misunderstanding something you’re saying, Ryoma definitely used his lab. He did die in there after all.
@@Sirhc7000nah he was just asked to meet there by kirumi, ryoma is kinda done with tennis so he doesn’t have a reason to be there
@@Sirhc7000 Hmm I suppose that is true. I just meant out of the ones we haven't seen their labs yet those are the ones who didn't use their labs. IIRC, Ryoma refused to use his lab to further his skills and he was just killed in there but now that I think of it, He was playing tennis when he was killed so I retract Ryoma from that list.
What is Kokichi 's talent?
@@MartinSartorUltimate Supreme Leader; his lab is not revealed yet
8:27 -- The moment Dan and Arin's brains sloughed out of their ears and descended into giggling madness.
Dan : "My favorites are Gonta and Miu"
oh boy
I love how they cared more about presents than the end of the world. Merry Christmas everybody
I love how attached to Gonta they're getting.
8:30 This part just had me laugh so hard with all the random nonsense going on till I was out of breathe. 😂😂 I haven't laughed that hard in AGES. Probably last time was when they did the whole "RISE AND SHINE URSI-" *explosive fart noise*
"She's cosplaying a meteorite!" made me choke on my laugh
Thank you Tony! ^^
To be fair, V3 never point out the mono machine. But I love the instant rage from Dan's subtle 'folks were saying that we're doing items wrong' XD
oh right the monokubs thing. they finished korekiyo's motive thing and went "hm. not enough incest"
they're robots. they're about as related to each other as i am to a tree.
I love when Arin's ADHD-addled brain devolves into childish sounds for a moment.
2:19
Loving Supportive Dan "yeah! The Anthropologist used his lab a lot plotting to murd3r people!"
Did you censor murder? You're not going to get in trouble for typing Murder!!
Thanks Tony. Sometimes the grumps needs a babysitter.
They finally found the mono machine.
8:28 the absolute chaos that erupts with the whole farting bit! I'm crying!
08:36
You are trying to sleep, but a fly comes into your ear
34:30 entire sequence had me spitting my drink
26:16 "It feels like when you can only remember one lyric to a song that's just a fragment so it plays over and over in your head."

🎶 pUt a reCorD oN... olD 45's...
i'm so grumped up and ready to goon
Walkin’ with a dead man over my shoulder
Dude Arin shitting on buying items wrong and then going straight to the casino is the funniest thing in the world
Thank god, it only took 37 episodes, and 4 MFing chapters for Arin to finally discover the Damned school store.
11:23 perhaps this’ll be enough for them to realize they missed a game
No one deserves to play udg, not even the worst criminals.
Would also probably get demonetized
They said that they didn’t play UDG nor watched DR3 in the first episode with the series recap
@@paytonbostwick2899 if the regular games fly, then there's no reason UDG wouldn't. *maaaaaybe* one episode, even then, what would it be demonetized for? hmm? it doesn't show anything. you people are paranoid and weird about it for little to no reason.
@@charleswisconsin9196well there is loli child stuff in it so maybe it's that
Only took them 181 episodes and 2 and a half games to realise the monomono machine exists. Proud of the character arc
My theory on why Monotaro & Monophanie are acting like this is bcz they got influenced by Korekiyo & his sister ,and they wanted to either try it or play that role for their "show"
It's okay that you yelled at us, Arin. We yell at you, too.
Shuichi really walked into what looks like the interior of a spaceship from the year 2600, and said "huh, well anyway, I gotta go talk to Kaito."
that bit with Kaito and the farting dogs fucking killed me so bad that my stomach hurt from laughing too much
“Gentlemen speak with muscles”… me instantly thinking of Alex Louis Armstrong from FMA 💪🏻👨🏻🦲✨
this game would be so much easier for them if they would stop worrying about the length. the game expects you to walk around, relax, and explore a little. it's insane that they got this far without finding the monomachine
