- Hi, this 'How To' video shows you how to connect your Apple iPod, iPhone, MP3 or mobile phone to a 2013 BMW 3 Series (E92) to allow you to play your music through the cars speakers. Others cars will have a similar setup.
Many thanks Vince
Many thanks. My 2007 3 Series was not fitted with Bluetooth (I bought it second hand). So being able to play my music from my iPhone is a bonus.
where did you buy the second hand Bluetooth? And how did you install it?
@@colearmourr This might be an old comment, but there are straight Bluetooth Audio-to-Aux devices. They are battery-powered and usually charged through a micro-USB cable, which you can connect to your cigarrete lighter port to charge once in a while. Then, just have your phone directly connecto to this small device. The device itself will not fit if you directly connect it to the aux port, so you need to use a short Male-to-Female aux cable just for the flexibility.
thank you so much... literally nobody had this video on youtube and i bought mine used so no manual book
worked like a chamr. I have 120i 2007 and its screen is almost gone, cant see anything. just followed the steps and it works.
Hi,do you know if using a usb to aux connector will allow for music to play?My father owns a 2011 320D BMW if that helps
Jack to Jack
They should have made a way for the cable to be inserted elsewhere...or made a hole that allows one to close the middle cover
BMW really wanted the AUX port hidden lol
What about jack to lightning cabel ? (Iphone 12 pro)
my phone dosage have that little hole that you have on yours for the hole
same
cheers for the upload... however, when i play it only one side of the speaker comes out. overheard from another BMW enthusiast that i need to purchase special 'bmw aux cables'? Can you please advise?
He mentioned about to get a stereo jack and not a mono, maybe that is the problem?
I don’t know why this didn’t work for me. Is my Aux port broken? How likely do those go bad
I have a bmw 328i and I bought a cord but I have an iPhone 8 so I also use an adapter but when I plug it in all I hear is static. Any solutions?
so did I, so I got a Samsung S8 which has a 3.5 aux port
Oh bugger...... I’ve got the iPhone 8 plus and just bought a 2007 3 Series ☹️
Looks like I’ll have to use my iPhone 5s
Instead.
I got a iphone X and i cant hear shit. Its plugged in but no sound comez out for aux. Meawhile sound comes out for cd and radio. Smh. Cant figure it out.
Sometimes its all about the quality of your aux cord.. I got 2 cords that wrk aweful and 1 that wrks perfect for my 08 328i
@@beverleypearson2646 you can maybe get away with using you're dongle
How to turn it off

Can u change the music from steering?

Unfortunately mine doesn’t have any type of usb
If i use Spotify also function
Thank you, but is the battery charging from the Ipod/Iphone?
No, the Ipod is not charging the car ( :D ). And no again, the car os not charging the Ipod
SAN Francisco Anthem
I have a bmw320d i have been using aux for 2 years now but suddenly i cant switch it to the aux no more. When i press audio it goes from radio to CD and back to radio. Anyone know how i can fix this?
3 months late to answer this, but maybe you're still wondering - mine disappeared after the car was disconnected from the battery (I was putting a new one in), so now you need to "code" it back. I haven't done it myself yet, but there's lots of tutorials everywhere on how to code and simply set AUX to "active".
I tried doing the same with my 2009 facelift E91 'cause how hard can it be to plug in a wire from your phone to your car's jack, right ? Well, it doesn't work, it's like the jack in the car isn't connected to anything. And I saw a lot of BMW owners complaining about this.
Alex Remus did you sort this out?
Thank You
Thank you so much!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH HOLY SHIT
Why are you shouting
Is it also possible if you put a aux bluetooth adapter in the aux port en connect your device with bluetooth to the radio?
Ding Dong Yes, I have, good sound too, beauty is my partner can also Bluetooth her phone sound tracks.
@@Larryloafer488 lol your "partner"?
where did you your aux from?
Thanks man!
Great vid
Mine stops working after awhile any idea why??
CJ Carpenter SAME. Its so annoying and I’ve taken this whole bitch about trying to figure it out.
