@theoparkinson984 I think that's what he meant when he said he was talking about the Equal weapon's conspiracy. The weapon itself is a part of the lore but I thought it was lost. The conspiracy part might be that the guild has it.

I like the idea of being an isolated tribe and the mass purging hosted by the guild pushed some of the monsters to the isolated tribe's area and have to deal with stampedes and hoards of monsters only to find out it was caused by the guild and see the players bonded with another monster(the raptor-ish mount) then we get 2 types of armor set and weapon set like rathalos weapon being a guild issued design and a tribal issued design and distinction being one(guild issued) has higher sharpness because of the technology then the other (tribal issued) has more element because the tribal ones have some sort of ritual that captures the essence of the monster and makes it bound to the weapon

@@ArcVTuber yeah kinda, they could pop in every now and again dealing with situations the Guild just won’t deal with, occasionally being spotted by hunters operating in the field
I hope not. I love MH but i just can't enjoy MH stories. Tried them, wasn't for me and i first thought the "pokemon fighting collecting stuff " is kinda neat but after trying i can say that it isn't for me

If that dating sims rumor is true I hope their is some cutscenes between you and the person your romancing. Besides that I really want more turf wars especially especially turf wars between smaller monsters like imagine a gang war between great Jaggi and Velocidrome and their respective minions or maybe have a turf where a pack of jaggi attacked a rathalos thats on the brink of death dealing some more damage I mean thats natural in nature a wounded apex animal sometimes being attacked by a pack of animals below the food chain
There were plans for World to have background turf wars between elders in Elder´s Recess that would cause environmental hazards to the map. Not enough time to be implemented. Maybe Wilds can add something akin to this.
Idk about the romance stuff, but the turf war talk is right up my street!

and your job is to find wth makes them come back to life and you find a place full of extrinct monsters

I really like your idea of the guild responsible of something that could ruin the ecosystem, like we see a lot of monsters messing things up, but now I wanna see if us hunters, us humans can mess up too.

@@ArcVTuber Maybe, but even in that concept art for the Equal Dragon Weapon (which if I recall comes from a book of concepts regarding the first Monster Hunter game and including many things that simply were decided to not be part of their world, like goblins and wizards) it isn't described as something the Guild made but something the Ancient Civilization made, and that the technology to create such a thing no longer exists. The Hunter's Guild is usually believed to have been formed as a new (well, relatively new) thing after the ancient civilization collapsed, dedicated to not repeating their mistakes.
Going in the same line as isolated tribe vs the guild, given the "ruins" we see in the trailer, it would be interesting to go in a Laputa kind of way: this isolated group are descendants of the civilization (maybe THE ancient civilization, if that means something as canon is concerned) of the area, and they try to keep their way of life, being harassed by corrupted officials of the guild that want the technology of the civilization, and you as a hunter are trapped between align with the guild and perform your duty, or come around with the locals and understand their decision to give away the marvels of their ancestors.

MH story works best when it´s about the monster and their effects on biomes.
I want a monster that has a long rivalry with us and Wilds is where we actually have the 1 on 1 fights. Similar to Goremagala it evolves during each rank. The difference is that this one has a different form for MR that´s not a failed attempt at the HR one. I would have this monster have some sort of metal bending ability. Give it 3 weapons to choose from like GS, DB, SnS as another layer to mirror the hunter. Goremagala gets a new armour set, well this monster does that plus a new weapon. The metal has to be something very manurable and toxic like bismuth, lead, zinc or mercury and be infused with dragon element to cause severe and quick damage to the environment.
(Have the monster take inspiration from a Nudibranch and Turtle-Headed Sea Snake cause it would go hard and we need more Snake Wyverns. Nudibranchs come in a lot of farms and models, have a simple body anatomy so it´s not hard to understand why the changes are so different, their food pallet can change the element they use (some eat toxic food to gain a demi Man o War state). Turtle-Headed Sea Snake creates an armour out of toxic minerals by just existing.)
Have our hunter chase after this monster and disregard orders regarding to the main mission while the Guild is trying to figure out the cause of the main problem. The Guild is after the big bad the whole time and we set our eyes on it after we find out that our rival was after the big bad the whole time. We beat the big bad, gain appreciation for our rival, he flies away to the DLC were we have a final stand off.
During the story we get questioned why we hate this monster and our character gives our backstory. Rise added voice lines so we might as well make use of them. NPCs take an interest in us and want to help us out because of their own reasons. Bam! followers are in.
That or I get Lucica 2. Now more purple and crazier then the MK-I.
I think I'm the only person who actually enjoyed the world and icebourne story 🤣
Imagine they actually hire good writers for MH and we have a very very good story in the future but that would probably mean totally changing the whole structure that all games always have- idk if i would mind that but it would certainly be make or break for a lot of people

personally i hate the idea of the hunter having any form of background story because your meant to be a nameless hunter that improves and rises through the ranks while you play and it leaves characters creative liberty to make there own little background story's for there hunters
I want a darker and more personal story for wilds. Kinda tired of the simple stories especially since the gameplay formula is so well rounded that they can afford to experiment on other factors.
im still sad they never implementent primordial malzeno in a way that when your doing those qurio hunts it can randomly show up and aid you in combat

Tri and 4 were the only good stories
If there was a follower setup in World the characters would be Aden, Admiral, Field Team Leader, Commander, and Seeker. For a one time follower hunt event with the Witcher and Leshen.
I just hope Aiden comes back to wilds especially with the field team leader since he wants to take him to the old world.

I want followers back, and available in multiplayer too (up to 2 of them or all 4 slots filled with players and followers), because playing Sunbreak with a friend and not being able to do follower quests as they're solo only was really annoying.
The tribe versus guild storyline is basically already explored in Stories. For it to really work they'd have to implement hunter on hunter combat (which Story does, well, rider on hunter or rider on rider, but humans fighting each other either way), I think, because it's not fun to know someone is causing damage to your side without being able to use blunt force diplomacy on them.
However, being somehow cut off from the guild (local tribe, first exploration team, whatever works) could be interesting, with a different take on the monster/human relationship, different techniques and technology... Yeah, Stories already covers that to be fair.
So, anything that lets us work alongside likeable and helpful characters, preferably fight with them, and against (or with!) monsters that have a personality (Nergi kind of did that) and an impact on the story.
Now that I think about it, imagine having *rescue* missions, where the goal is not to kill a monster but to protect it from other monsters, either by killing them/repelling them or holding out for a duration? That would be awesome! Like the PMalzeno vs qurio fight but we actually do it instead of skipping over it in a cutscene! Just... Not qurios. I don't want to see qurio crafting ever again. Seriously.

Honestly a game where we're a hunter for a tribe that doesn't accept the guild or a guild hunter sent to try and begin relations with that tribe would be really cool. I mean the guild isn't a country, their authority is limited to places that accept them and that authority is limited by the governing bodies of those lands. A tribe that has heard how often the guild screws up and doesn't trust them not to make things worse should exist.
Despite their talk about living alongside nature and not harming the ecosystem the guild screws up and slays a random monster while a bigger threat goes unchecked fairly often. A remote tribe has every right to think "things have been bad but these morons will just make something even worse show up".
Killing Malzeno and Gaismagorm allowed the Qurio to run wild. Shagaru was only a threat because the guild didn't do its job right while it was a Gore. A Lagiacrus was slain because the guild listened to an old man that was sure nothing as big as a Ceadeus could exist so he blamed Lagi. Zora Magdaros just wanted to die in peace but the guild needlessly messed up its migration and threatened the entire new world. Slaying Nergigante resulted in several other elder dragons going unchecked. Velkhana just needed some new rocks because Shara destroyed its old supply and the guild insisted on moving near its home. Primordial Malzeno was only spared because Fiorayne noticed something was wrong, go figure she's not a guild hunter but rather a knight of the kingdom.
The guild screws up a lot and are just lucky to have competent hunters fix it when things get worse. They deserve to be called out for once.

Ok I Make My Sunbreak Part But even Back in Base Sunbreak Before Primordial Malzeno Just with Gismagorm Reveal and That Quest Gathering of the Qiruo Every Monster is Dead Because You Slay the Malzeno and "It's YOUR Fault" the Qiruo no Longer Keep at Bay form Malzeno Killed the Ecosystem just like that it Makes Malzeno Perfect it was the Victim that had to Make a Sacrifice just

MH Stories crossover maybe where we have to repel/capture a berserk Razewing Ratha to for some cool armor pieces like Navirou, Ratha with black wings over the mount, and the Rider with armor from both the first and 2nd game? Maybe Primordial returns especially since he’s more popular than his base/variant form as potential DLC roadmap?
See, I think that would be cool as an event. Not as a whole story but it would be an insane collab. Kinda like the Witcher one in World.

As long as we don't get a "Resident Evil Movie"-tier story line like we had in World (that hilariously enough was adapted into a movie with a "Resident Evil Movie"-tier story line, protagonized by WHO ELSE but Milla Jovovich!, shocking, i know) we should be fine.
Dunno, but i liked the "no one has an actual name" thing in World. They don't have names because as a person, they are irrelevant; their importance resides in what way they contribute to the Fleet and the hunt.
As for innovation, this is CAPCOM we are talking about, they don't like taking risks. They will give it ONE main shtick and some surface, shallow features and call it a day.
The trailer makes me think that the main point of this game will be how environment changes affect the hunt, there's a lot of that being shown and it's something we've never had.
Sadly enough, actual changes to the game loop are usually reserved for the spin offs.
I think tri actually has a decent if simple story and love how Ceadus is a example of how to have a great ending that isn't just murder all the problem animals, it really gives us a balance with nature ending, I do think in future monster hunter either needs to stick with very simple tri esc story lines or hire a better writing team if they are gonna go for anything more advanced, there's a lot of topics they could tackle and they could start to take themselves more seriously with things and there's a lot of lore to play with, so loads of potential they just haven't tapped into, my big issue in world is everyone is a chipper blood thirsty phycopth, they talk a big game of having balance with nature yet they seem to have a murder everything attitude, agien I think this is something to work on
As for wilds I personally hope the story has to rival elder dragon snakes fighting for territory and we are helping a local wyverian civilation and I hope they take things more seriously, I also hope this is us being thr first people to explore this new landmass but other then that I'm not sure what I'm looking for in wilds, just as long as its better then worlds story

Hey, I got an idea, here's my "so not happenin" story in Wilds.
Since hyped up A lister aka Aider told us after faty (or after shara) that he would like us to accompany him if, one day, he goes back to the old world, why not start with that? It would allow us to bring our original character form World to Wilds just like the old gens or to just create a new one (he would be a random 5th fleet hunter we never get to see since, y'know, some people do be workin, and no I'm not looking at the 3rd fleet cap)
We prepare a small expedition to go back to the old world and report to the guild but, damn, there's a problem. Our friend, the grumpy/silly old lady chasing after her mentor in Iceborne found something while investigating the ship she found under the hoarfrost reach that would launch another investigation. She theorises that beyond the Guiding Lands they saw when the 3rd Fleet took flight and got lost near the coral highlands, there should be another part of the new world innaccessible by land or see (just like the great Ravine)
So the Admiral, always eager to give his work to someone else, tasks us to investigate this hypothetical lands that he calls "the Wildlands" and report to the guild since Astera/Seliana doesn't have the means to support us along the way. We depart with a short team composed of:
- The Tracker who wants to see whats beyond and the Handler who tags along before going home telling grampa about that stone he gave her (and him possibly smuggling some other shit for all we know)
- The Seeker, one again compelled to follow a strange feeling (it seems to me he can resonate with bad time elders like Hinoa & Minoto so he's getting the plot armour to be in Wilds)
- Aiden & His girlfriend cause he's going home to brag about his encounter with faty
- The Saphire star if we don't bring from world, he replaces the huntsman in Wilds and parades in a top notch customized rathalos armor just like the old one dos with his rathian armour (Is it me or capcom didn't give us his armor?)
- Us, if we don't take World's character, a 5th fleet A-lister who did whaterver wherever during the events (if whe bring our character, he's the one parading in a customized armour)
-Some peopole to man the ship and care for the mernos (I sur ain't the one doing it)
Thus we depart on the argosy north of the guiding lands until we find somethin, possibly a collapsed mountain after shara or the zorah forming the GL passed through is found.
We then go there on land/with our mernos, but since handler always brings as much bad luck as she eats meat, we get swept in a sandstorm and save by whoever live in the wildlands.
after some talking, we're brought to a wyverian village hidden in the highlands of this new region and bingo, they raise the new mount we see to travel swiftly in the wildlands, 'cause who wants to be on foot when there's a Sometin Harag/Goss Sometin stampede.
As for the story story, the wyverians (they are related to the first wyverians, moreso than those we know) tell us there's a big big thing doing some mean bad shenanigans starting some years ago (around the time elder crossing started to speed up) and the landscape started to change. They became isolated and had to find a way to live and couldn't investigate, even after some reseachers drifted off to the wildlands (that's why their tech isn't so backward and they know how to forge good weapons and armour). And since we're here now, the investigations can start (lucky us huh). We find a lot of snake wyverns (Najarala, Remobra and one or two new species), including a Shah Dalamadur not so happy to find people lurking around his tunnels. But there's a twist, he's not the one responsible for what's happening here so, "Hunters, you know the drill, go look aroud!"
