I remember my Dad telling me when he used to go to Tamworth for the country Music festival that he saw her singing at a little pub there. So cool. And look where she is now. Freakin awsome! Thanks Rollen. Cheers!
Rollen yours and a Scottish lass who is a vocal coach, ‘Beth Roars’ are the best reactions to Lose Yourself on UA-cam… hands down. Beth said Kasey uses flips, yodels, and ancient techniques such as kulning. She said she hadn’t considered before how Australia would have country / folk sounds the same as America but on reflection realised that both nations are pioneering countries that had suffered great adversity and that is reflected in the inter-generational pain in Kasey’s voice. She said her voice is filled with nightmares and dreams and that Kasey is not afraid to show the ugly side of humanity and that it’s frigging beautiful. 🙂
I'm starting to truly believe that Kasey is a reincarnation of Janis Joplin...... the pain, the truth (minus the drugs though which thank the Universe)...... she is a bright spot in the world of music, so original, so raw..... so brilliant......
