Forget Taylor Swift. Paulina Villarreal may just be the greatest all-around female musician/artist of our time, of whom too many millions of the general public STILL aren't the slightest bit aware. It's almost criminal and it's GOT TO change. PERIOD. She's simply very, very special.

Me too. So powerful. It's like they had held their singing I n like she asked, but now all the emotion bursts firth. Oh, to have been there! I saw them in Tokyo with Band Maid and twice in the LA area two weeks ago, but I'm really excited to see them in Guadalajara in February. I'm also seeing them in Cologne, Germany and London, England in April. I love V these young ladies.

Just like me ,you just can't stop playing it.
Thing is, those of us who have watched them for many years are just kind of used to Pau bursting into tears. For the most trivial of reasons; it's how she releases the stress of a performance, and she's very open about it. But this... this is _different_ . It's not just her blowing off steam... it's _personal_ and heart-felt. It has a different impact. She wanted to give a "gift" to the people who came out to specifically watch *them* perform, to support and celebrate their 10th anniversary show, and she decided this was a perfect "offering" to give their fans. As she no doubt expected, she couldn't get through it without breaking up... but I think the final nail was her hearing the crowd finishing the song for her. She loves us... and we love her (and her sisters). We'll always get your back, ladies. Always.
(Incidentally, the initial translation is incorrect - although understandable, as the words are the same. She's saying, "No; I need to sing this" not "I don't need to sing this". Spanish is a very contextual language.)
I always understood it with the translation you gave, just based on the look on her face and the tone.
You would think after hearing this for about the fiftieth time I wouldn't cry. Nope, still do.

I've seen this video maybe over 20 times. I still get teared up when the audience ends with the ooooooo's. You can hear at that point. Paulina couldn't hold back anymore. That brings this over 60 guy to tears.

It been mentioned in other comments from other reactors: Their record label wanted one more song to be added to their album "ERROR" and asked Pau for her song (Breathe) she agreed with the stipulation that she will not be forced to sing this song live, it was added to their album "ERROR" as a bonus track. I believe at their concert at Teatro Metro a recording of Breathe was played during a break. Now at Pepsi Center with 8,000 in attendance Pau felt compelled to sing Breathe live as a gesture of gratitude for the love and support of the fans. Hey, I just discovered The Warning for the first time 12 days ago and have listened to just about everything on their channel, watched dozens upon dozens of reactions and interviews. BTW, I'm in my 70s and have plenty of time on my hands! Imagine Pau wrote this song when she was 13!

@@gregoryvlchek269 Do you know when she wrote Breathe? The sisters together wrote Black Holes (according to Genius Lyrics). I know Breathe was released on their Album 'ERROR" in 2022.
So hard and such a tribute to her soul…. And then she had to quickly pull herself together to immediately go back on stage to preform Enter Sandman and not miss a beat,,, man I love her❤

Thank you for your heartfelt reaction. You have said what I feel every time I see this video. Pau can sing through the pain and yet not hide it. I understand this was written by her and deals with her feelings after losing a close friend.
Missing seeing this live will be my biggest regret about not making it to a show ever. As much as I would still like to see Pau singing it live, hopefully this will remain a once in a lifetime event. It's just one of those performances that simply can't be replicated
I'm sure you're right about the comforting part - but they did it quick. The very next song on the set list was Enter Sandman, and DPA went right into it as soon as the stage crew got the piano off stage. Watch the ES video closely & you'll see it takes Pau a few measures to shake off "Breathe".

The magic of all this, has been the crowd, who support her to finish the song... it was a very struggle demonstration of love!
It must have been so hard for Moni to watch her baby break down on stage and not run out to her. Pau said there is nothing more humbling than crying in front of 8 thousand people.
I was thinking the same! I want to hear what it was like for Dany, Ale, and her parents to watch that! It must have been so emotional!
I am hoping that like the Teatro Metropolitan show, they will release the full concert on the one year anniversary at the end of the month and that they will include some behind the scenes that would show her coming backstage after performing Breathe. 🤞🏻

Perfect reaction. I've been waiting for you to get to this one. It gets me every time. Every. Single. Time. I just want to hug her. The depth to their talent is just unbelievable. Next, you need to see Dany's performance of When I'm Alone from the same shiw. It's brilliant.
The Love we have for these girls is undeniable.... beautiful and sweet Paulina pouring her heart our to her fans says it all, All 3 are incredible human beings. When you get to the next one Cheezyxyz, Enter Sandman, you will see them still pushing the piano off stage as the lights come up, Pau had little time to compose herself but sits at the Kit with her full on smile and continues to play her heart out on the drums with her usual charisma. I think this song and this performance has a legendary character. Pau has never played this song live before and it should never be played live again afterwards. This was perfect. The atmosphere, the voice, the soul, the heart and the audience that helped Paulina over the finish line.

And, right after that, they went into Enter Sandman, and you would never have guessed Pau was anything but her usual happy and vibrant and energetic self. Just incredible young women.
These girls often seems to me to be descended from another ERA, in this wolrd, poor of valors, feelings, sweetness... they are very precious girls, they should be a great example for their generation.... but, it's hard to change mentality to those!

Pau is a force of nature.
I know many of you have thought about these three sisters and how is it that they have captivated us to the point where many of the TWA feel like a proud aunt or uncle. The answer is the times like this, when Pau shows us a deep wound from her past and relives the pain on the stage just for us. What other artist go that far? Think about what we’ve seen of them; from the concert tours and various artist they’ve opened for then all the way back to the kitchen at home baking cakes, to the practice rooms with their instructors, to old films of piano recitals with small feet barely touching the floor or of Ale playing a mustang 3/4 bass that’s still bigger than she is and video of Dany playing saxophone and smiling the whole time and even a very young and diminutive Pau showing the adult drum set who’s boss from day one!!!😅
DPA has shown the music world today that they don’t need half naked background dancers or that they have to act like out of control brats to succeed. No auto tune, no layers and layers and layers of backtrack, just three sisters playing live bareknuckle rock ‘n’ roll!!
They’ve allowed us to be a part of all of it. Ten years from now, we will watch this video and we will still cry with Pau and Dany and Ale.

I was able to hold it together, well this time anyway. When you're invested in this band, it has to affect you, you really care for them all. I'm sure her sisters and everyone else were there to comfort her. She came out like a trooper for ES and killed it of course. How can one not love a band like this one.

A heart on her sleeve moment
8k in attendance, millions worldwide who love them. Yes, Cheezy, she has a great voice, but can hear the strain throughout this show. That's the beauty of live music and what performers are all about though. Giving of themselves to entertain, and certainly in this case, get us emotional.

Time to reflect, Cheezy. After a performance like that, reflecting is key, yet we know she was getting big hugs from her sisters and parents.
She is such a strong woman that despite her state of health, knowing that this is a very personal song, even though she cannot contain her emotions, she tries as much as she can to be professional and give herself to her audience. Without words, a magical and intimate moment with her fans and we thank her for her courage.
and just think - after finishing that heart-wrencher, she had only a few seconds to compose herself before going back out and launching into "Enter Sandman"!

Tears. Every. Time.
Before the song began, I half-heartedly tried to convince myself that maybe THIS time my eyes won't water up. After all, I've seen this performance of Breathe more times than I can remember, so familiarity should be kicking in by now, right? Well, I should have known better... Of course the unreal Power of Paulina was no match for me, and my cheeks each have a tear flowing down as I write this. I'm happy to have failed miserably.

They're definitely pros too because she's on the clock to get composed again and back to her kit by the time the strings finish the interlude to lead back into Enter Sandman. Not a lot of time to go from vulnerable tears back to hard rock drummer mode.

When Paulina left the piano. She went back to her kit for the next song. The stage crew came out to remove the piano the same way that Paulina went. The string assemble began their intro for the next song. Then Dany & Ale return to stage on the opposite side (Dany side) playing their instruments as the song began.
As the full concert (fan cam) video shown us. The pro shot videos leaves what happens between songs out.
Well they just released the full concert on their Patreon. It'll be on here in short order. Hopefully we get to see all those moments. I was a little dissapointed we didn't get to see the tutorial before Sick. Maybe in the full release we will. And the full ending. And maybe some bts.

Pau's talents (songwriting, composing, instrument talent, singing voice/style, etc etc etc) are in the stratosphere of the musical greats. That is not an exaggeration and this performance, right here and on Black Holes, proves it. I mean, come the freak on!!! This is Gaga, Beyonce, Adele performance-level stuff here. *And no, that's not to take away from the extremely EMENSE talents of Dany and Ale. Why this band is still an opening act and not headlining is beyond me! Come on promoters, WAKE the F UP!!!
