When doing the second challenge, you can build up the 6x combo and activate incarnon form and just let the enemies kill you. Then revive yourself and repeat. The incarnon timer will reset and you can do this 6 times in a row and then just leave the mission, assuming you have 2 arcanes equipped for additional revives. No need to leave the mission and load in and out of it.
Especially easy if you bring Garuda with no defense mods and dragon keys, since enemies trapped in Blood Altar can't die from your hits, but still build up combo.
The original leaked numbers had a final evo of the Sibear having x seconds of y shield regen for killing enemies with z cold stacks. And that looked really cool and unique as a survivability tool for certain builds. Oh well. In the bin it goes.
My first riven in Warframe was for the Sibear on the Sortie-Release, and honestly I've been using this thing in Steel Path non-stop. I've failed to roll any good -impact rolls, but even with Buzzkill to improve its slash weight it was doing a lot of work. With its Incarnon form favoring cold procs and a whopping 40% base CC, it's genuinely pretty insane as a hybrid cold+slash melee as it slows all enemies you successfully bleed preventing any retaliation. ...though I have no idea how many more rolls I need for a good +cc -impact riven, already 300+ rolls in and nothing.
They need to add an unlocked on incarnon mode unique combo to each weapon similar to how the Nepheri and Korumn have a unique combo, that would be way better
yeah the melee incarnon are tedious to activate whenever you play against low lvl mobs and that still sucks even if the weapon kills them anyway- wish it was as eeasy as the innodem

Activating your incarnon melee weapon and then letting yourself get downed and self reviving will reset the incarnon duration allowing you to get back up and redo the "activate incarnon" task again.
Watching this build reminds me of the fun I had with my Fragor Prime. I've got a Crit Chance/Crit Damage/Electricity riven with - status chance. I don't run Condition Overload, but it still chunks enemies like they're nothing

Yeah, I'm kinda in the same place as you. I build Sibear and the ephemera, ditched the sibear for being awful and needing some slots, re-built it not long ago for the incarnons and I still have 50k cryotic. I think the way I got so much cryotic was when I played a lot of Arbitration, and at the time Excavation was so good for farming missions rewards all the other missions were almost pointless (basically you had one rotation every 1 or 2 excavators or smth) so I played a shit ton of excavation xD

Even if the cryo cost was halved i still wouldn't build it. Its just stupid how much cryo it costs. Even with the MIGHTY SEER giving me all the cryo i want its just still not worth it imo

But there is one thing that maybe DE would listen to you if you bring it in one of your videos ...there is a certain game breaking bug that involves around the operator and when you are transferring in the warframe you get stuck on strafe mode without nothing you can done and after the /unstuck command nothing works...it is very frustrating and especially when you are on steel path circuit and you can not do nothing to help your team... it is very important for DE to fix this cause warframe deserves better than those gamebreaking bugs...I play on Ps5 does anyone else has the same bug??
I found this weapon to be a great heavy slammer. Normal heavy attacks aren't so great, but heavy slamming off cooldown is great as many hammers are. Getting 1.3m damage on SlamKong.
With what you said about the obsurdly long combo duration, how does this incarnon fare as a stat stick that relies on combo count? Do the incarnon buffs feed into them?
I would assume it Fares okay But the Innodem, Praedos and whatever the Other Universal Readiness are Better for that since they acquire Combo from Picking Up Ammo (this Resets the Timer)
I think you hit the nail on the head, you don’t even try to build the Sibear if you’re going 100% or even 75% optimized. But if you want a giant block of ice on a stick, then now you have a SP playable giant block of ice on a stick

The question is whether they will prioritize fairness and good game design or abuse it and try to farm us for platinum (and by extension real money). I know which of those outcomes I'm expecting.
I usually lament how often i buy weapons instead of grinding for them cuz I'm impatient, but the Sibear is not one of them. I'm so glad i bought it with platinum instead of grinding for dozens of hours to get what turned out to be a mediocre weapon.
Back in the days, CC was king and we did excavation missions to farm relics. I completely missed the "farming 30.000 cryotic is a pain in the butt" thing lol.
Sibear incarnon with Buzz Kill, Weeping Wounds, Blood Rush, Virulent Scourge and two Gladiator mods totally shreds everything with red crits, viral procs and slash, which is something the Fragor Prime and Kuva Shildeg can't do nearly as well due to their much, much lower slash damage

I farmed all my cryotic for it and then saw darvo had a 90% discount on the sibear so I bought it and had it all left over for Vauban prime so I guess it worked out
2:40 dieing also resets the timer, so you dont need to leave the mission to start again, i did it on garuda with her altar and just died once i was in incarnon mode
I think the weapon is very much not working as intended. It says somewhere in some menu that its incarnon form creates ice fields on slam attacks, but it definitely does not do that. Maybe when it's fixed it will be good?😢
Slams can't scale off of anything other than faction dmg and slam dmg. Until that's changed every single slam mechanic will remain garbage, except the sorta kinda useable one Vitrica has, which just so happens to be the only one that does scale normally, and Arca Titron because it has a unique exponentially stacking multiplier
I put off getting Sibear for like 6 years and finally grinded it out last weekend -- it literally took less than an hour with the event booster. I think a lot of us just spread the rumour about how bad it is to farm and didn't bother checking 😂
But you did it during a resource booster weekend??? TBF I had a bunch since back in the day, Defense and Excavation was the go to missions in the game. (pre 2017 WF)
30,000 cryotic. That’s 300 hundred excavators, or 75 with a booster and event booster weekend. Each Excavator is 100 seconds or 1 minute 40 seconds. If you ditch to new one at 20, to save time then that’s average 1 minute 20 seconds each. That also doesn’t account for down time for when cores don’t drop. At optimal time saving without delays and with all possible boosters that’s 100 minutes ( 1 min 20 sec x 75) minimum, meaning it’s 1 hour 40 minutes at minimum. If you don’t have any boosters that is 6 hours 40 minutes exclusively of excavation. It’s not fun, it’s tedious as hell and that doesn’t account for time loss, player error and getting the magistar first.
Considering we only got that specific Booster 3 times in the last 5 Years I think it's safe to Assume that Grind Sucks.... Disagree ? Them Farm it again right now 🤔
Ran down some tests today after getting it for myself. The +25% crit chance stat is bugged. It applies to the Sibear, but also to pseudo exalted weapons. As such, weapons that traditionally shouldn't crit, actually do crit. Atlas's Landslide goes from 5% crit chance to 30%, Gara's shattered lash goes from 0 to 25%, excal's slash dash from 0 to 25%. And well, as you'd guessed it by now, Khora's Whipclaw goes from 25% base crit chance to 50% base crit chance. Without a crit chance riven, just blood rush, one gladiator mod and normal true steel, you'll see red crits at 5x Combo. Considering the riven dispo of my boy the Sibear, I think it's safe to declare it one of the best possible stat sticks in the entire game.
One build which wasn't mentioned was perhaps the one this weapon is most in tune with: Finisher builds. Hammers have 12x damage multiplier on frontal finishers (the second highest short of Nikana's 8x2hits) and 24x on back finishers, the highest of all weapons, bar none. Because damage from a finisher completely bypasses armour, you can absolutely just put pure toxin on to get pure viral and benefit from the damage multiplier to flesh (1.5x) and cloned flesh (1.75x) -- those health types which belong to the most commonly finisher'd enemy types, Corpus and Grineer respectively. Best case scenario, you can even use viral procs to multiply said damage further by hitting enemies a couple times to benefit from the weapon's status chance simultaneously if they're especially beefy. This extremely high finisher multiplier also works especially well for Marked for Death builds, since the damage output will be immense.
Darvo frequently sells it for plat at a discount. I bought it for MR last year sometime for like 60% off...? Much better now with the incarnon. But 30k cryo is A LOT to grind normally.
I just don't understand what DE was thinking on any level with the Sibear. A resource sink for a terrible weapon in its base form and a barely noticeable buff in the Incarnon form. The message I'm getting is that this is some kind of troll by DE. Like how if you collect all Korok seeds in Breath of the Wild, you get a literal piece of poop for it, mocked by the developers for being a mindless completionist. This is what I feel the Sibear is: a shameful trophy for those of us who have to have everything even when we know it's not worth the time or effort.
Harsh. Hard to argue against, though. Even if one were to suspect that DE devs understands their own game less than the top theorycrafters, its hard to imagine that they thought Incarnon Sibear in its current form was supposed to be competitive with other Incarnon melee...even ones with much lower costs.

@@IplayTeemoasaWard You are ignoring the fact that with test servers (which almost every online multiplayer game utilizes) day one issues would be almost entirely fixed before we have to suffer through them. Also, well over 75% of these Incarnons have had significant bugs on release.
Like the Hema, it was an experiment how far they can push resource cost of an item before community will backfire. There was never an item with cost as steep as this onwards, instead, they simply make a new resource if they want to delay us on getting our hands on it. What is also funny that 30k Cryo was faster to farm in the past when this weapon came out due to Excavation spawning drills very close to each other so you could keep around 2-3 up at the time, even solo.

It's working mostly fine. In its mostly functioning state, it's barely better than your average mid-tier melee weapon. Do you understand why that's a problem and why some of us believe this is a deliberately poorly designed weapon by DE?
Easier way to get the 6 incarnon changes in a mission is to get 1, then die. This resets your incarnon state immediately. With 5 revives, you can finish this in 1 mission in under 2 minutes.
Yeah, it's a bummer, I really hoped that the Incarnon version would make the time investment to get it worth it. And that I'm not an Idiot to have done the grind. But as it's turned out, I'm still an idiot.^^

Let’s be honest, when they came up with this incarnon idea some of the devs were probably thinking “do you think we can punk them twice, and get them to throw even more time, forma and materials into this crap weapon? That would be hilarious!” Worked on me - classic example of throwing good money after bad to justify my original mistake. I even farmed and rolled a few rivens for it over the years. After the whole multi-year punking the result is merely “OK”, but it IS superlative in the sense that it is probably now the weapon with the highest cost-to-payoff ratio in the whole game.
i have like 180k cryotic and i've been feeding it to helminth like its nothing. I don't even remember my max - 300k maybe. It's sad that DE nerfed relic drops from Hieracon, excavation is overall one of the best old-school starchart gamemods
evo 4 needs a few fixes, combo on cold sctak hit needs to have the description fixed, and both it and the first attack after primary needs to also get at least 10% base crit chance
How does this compare to other hammers? I am fond of the Volnus Prime, due to the decent attack speed and higher slash damage. I'd be interested in seeing a series on like, top 5 or 10 weapons of every type, actually. Each kind of Primary, each kind of secondary, each kind of melee. Just to see how weapons in the same archetype compare to each other.
Well, considering I farmed this weapon during the double resources weekend on a Steel Path Excavation Fissure for insane Steel Essence. Yes, it is worth 30,000 cryo ^^

@@noahedenborg4221 If we use Archon Vitality instead of Umbral one, then Archon Intensify's 30+30% exceeds Umbral's 55%(with fiber). We can use that one due to Orphidian Bite, and again Umbral Fiber drops to 110% and it's just the same with normal fiber mod. Then maybe we should drop all three Umbral mods and use Health Conversion or something else? Archon Vitality is clearly worth using, but Intensify... If we drop all Umbrals and use Archon Vitality, Intensify and Health Conversion we get 5%p more strength and 618.75 more armour while losing 660 max health. I haven't calculated ehp yet so not sure which is better, gotta work on it...

I swear this week's incarnon's are a meme. A weapon almost no one has because of the low drop rate (Hate) and a weapon almost no one has because of the rediculous amount of resources needed (Sibear)
top 5 melees in the game hands down. just need a riven. dispo is almost max so its a large increase in viability. it hits headshots on demand. and i just freakin love it.
People say a riven with cc but its just as easy as using sacrificial steel+bloodrush and since you use primer for cold procs, you get 12x combo easy, let alone a riven with initial combo for heavies
Should’ve gotten the weapon years ago like I did i thought it had a special property of dealing bonus crit to frozen or cold affected enemies like a baby biting frost effect
Would slotting in a Tennokai mod help make the Heavy attacks more useful, as you can forget about burning the combo to use the heavy attacks and therefore use the crit bonus at rank 4?
Despite Cryotic not being too complicated to farm, this is the hardest item to get in the game. Unless you luck out on Darvo's Deals and pay relatively NOTHING in plat.
I built this a long time ago. I have long refused to get rid of it solely because it's so damned expensive, and I didn't wanna have to grind it again if they either added something to it or made it the crafting material of something else (think Boltace needing Kronen)
Damn... DE really doesn't like this weapon... but I won't give up on it yet... it has a good riven disposition... so what would you recommend in terms of riven??? You can also kill enemies with abilities that lift them. For example caliban's sentient wrath kills and lifts enemies simultaneously.
Assuming 2 minutes per excavator, not letting it run out of power or die early, all excavators are triggered immediately after the last finishes, and ignoring mission load times: this is about 50 cryotic per minute. 30,000/50 = 600 minutes, or *TEN HOURS* of non-stop excavation for a single weapon that is mediocre at best.
Thanks to Excavation being a part of Circuit and Duviri Experience, the Cryotic farm became slightly less tedious.

Which is meh because that damage is not affected by a lot of important mods...

I picked the same two weapons since I like both the Zylok and Sibear TT. I couldn't find any proper build for Sibear thanks so much!
Moreover, Sibear is now bugged for some players (me included) and doesn't leave any frost filed on slam attack (which it should do).
I took advantage of the recent double resource weekend expressly for the siber. Booster plus event plus smeeta. that was a productive weekend.
Wiki or someone said Heavy Slams or whatever kind of Slams create a cold field like with the Furax.
The description in game says "slam creates an ice field", much like how other descriptions on the evolutions say things that don't happen.
Either it's bugged or nonexistent. After tons of testing I never got it.

I still have mine from my MR leveling. Think I'll pick this Incarnon up in another 6 weeks.
It took me four hours to get the Sibear, and honestly, it was personally worth it just for being fun.
I usually lament how often i buy weapons instead of grinding for them cuz I'm impatient, but the Sibear is not one of them. I'm so glad i bought it with platinum instead of grinding for dozens of hours to get what turned out to be a mediocre weapon.
Back in the days, CC was king and we did excavation missions to farm relics.
I completely missed the "farming 30.000 cryotic is a pain in the butt" thing lol.
Sibear incarnon with Buzz Kill, Weeping Wounds, Blood Rush, Virulent Scourge and two Gladiator mods totally shreds everything with red crits, viral procs and slash, which is something the Fragor Prime and Kuva Shildeg can't do nearly as well due to their much, much lower slash damage

@@mlad35 Of course it would, I'm just in the group of players that don't like playing with primers all the time and would rather use weapons and warframes I enjoy killing things with, rather than optimise my entire load out around one weapon to maximise its output.

I farmed all my cryotic for it and then saw darvo had a 90% discount on the sibear so I bought it and had it all left over for Vauban prime so I guess it worked out

I've got a frost build that works well with incarnon sibear. Range, red crits and the final hit when buffed with nourish will hit for 3+ mil
2:40 dieing also resets the timer, so you dont need to leave the mission to start again, i did it on garuda with her altar and just died once i was in incarnon mode

I think the weapon is very much not working as intended. It says somewhere in some menu that its incarnon form creates ice fields on slam attacks, but it definitely does not do that. Maybe when it's fixed it will be good?😢

Slams can't scale off of anything other than faction dmg and slam dmg. Until that's changed every single slam mechanic will remain garbage, except the sorta kinda useable one Vitrica has, which just so happens to be the only one that does scale normally, and Arca Titron because it has a unique exponentially stacking multiplier

I put off getting Sibear for like 6 years and finally grinded it out last weekend -- it literally took less than an hour with the event booster. I think a lot of us just spread the rumour about how bad it is to farm and didn't bother checking 😂
But you did it during a resource booster weekend??? TBF I had a bunch since back in the day, Defense and Excavation was the go to missions in the game. (pre 2017 WF)
30,000 cryotic. That’s 300 hundred excavators, or 75 with a booster and event booster weekend. Each Excavator is 100 seconds or 1 minute 40 seconds. If you ditch to new one at 20, to save time then that’s average 1 minute 20 seconds each. That also doesn’t account for down time for when cores don’t drop. At optimal time saving without delays and with all possible boosters that’s 100 minutes ( 1 min 20 sec x 75) minimum, meaning it’s 1 hour 40 minutes at minimum. If you don’t have any boosters that is 6 hours 40 minutes exclusively of excavation. It’s not fun, it’s tedious as hell and that doesn’t account for time loss, player error and getting the magistar first.
Considering we only got that specific Booster 3 times in the last 5 Years I think it's safe to Assume that Grind Sucks.... Disagree ? Them Farm it again right now 🤔

Ran down some tests today after getting it for myself. The +25% crit chance stat is bugged. It applies to the Sibear, but also to pseudo exalted weapons.
As such, weapons that traditionally shouldn't crit, actually do crit. Atlas's Landslide goes from 5% crit chance to 30%, Gara's shattered lash goes from 0 to 25%, excal's slash dash from 0 to 25%.
And well, as you'd guessed it by now, Khora's Whipclaw goes from 25% base crit chance to 50% base crit chance. Without a crit chance riven, just blood rush, one gladiator mod and normal true steel, you'll see red crits at 5x Combo.
Considering the riven dispo of my boy the Sibear, I think it's safe to declare it one of the best possible stat sticks in the entire game.
I like the ceramic dagger as a stat stick haven't tried sibear yet but the daggers ability to keep a combo count indefinitely is awesome.

One build which wasn't mentioned was perhaps the one this weapon is most in tune with: Finisher builds.
Hammers have 12x damage multiplier on frontal finishers (the second highest short of Nikana's 8x2hits) and 24x on back finishers, the highest of all weapons, bar none.
Because damage from a finisher completely bypasses armour, you can absolutely just put pure toxin on to get pure viral and benefit from the damage multiplier to flesh (1.5x) and cloned flesh (1.75x) -- those health types which belong to the most commonly finisher'd enemy types, Corpus and Grineer respectively.
Best case scenario, you can even use viral procs to multiply said damage further by hitting enemies a couple times to benefit from the weapon's status chance simultaneously if they're especially beefy.
This extremely high finisher multiplier also works especially well for Marked for Death builds, since the damage output will be immense.
don't rapiers also have 24x back finishers? something like the destreza prime is generically good outside of finishers as well

I just don't understand what DE was thinking on any level with the Sibear. A resource sink for a terrible weapon in its base form and a barely noticeable buff in the Incarnon form.
The message I'm getting is that this is some kind of troll by DE. Like how if you collect all Korok seeds in Breath of the Wild, you get a literal piece of poop for it, mocked by the developers for being a mindless completionist.
This is what I feel the Sibear is: a shameful trophy for those of us who have to have everything even when we know it's not worth the time or effort.
Harsh. Hard to argue against, though. Even if one were to suspect that DE devs understands their own game less than the top theorycrafters, its hard to imagine that they thought Incarnon Sibear in its current form was supposed to be competitive with other Incarnon melee...even ones with much lower costs.

@@IplayTeemoasaWard You are ignoring the fact that with test servers (which almost every online multiplayer game utilizes) day one issues would be almost entirely fixed before we have to suffer through them. Also, well over 75% of these Incarnons have had significant bugs on release.
Like the Hema, it was an experiment how far they can push resource cost of an item before community will backfire. There was never an item with cost as steep as this onwards, instead, they simply make a new resource if they want to delay us on getting our hands on it.
What is also funny that 30k Cryo was faster to farm in the past when this weapon came out due to Excavation spawning drills very close to each other so you could keep around 2-3 up at the time, even solo.

It's working mostly fine. In its mostly functioning state, it's barely better than your average mid-tier melee weapon. If it was working bug-free, it still wouldn't change how utterly atrocious it is. Do you understand why that's a problem and why some of us believe this is a deliberately poorly designed weapon by DE?

Easier way to get the 6 incarnon changes in a mission is to get 1, then die. This resets your incarnon state immediately. With 5 revives, you can finish this in 1 mission in under 2 minutes.
Yeah, it's a bummer, I really hoped that the Incarnon version would make the time investment to get it worth it. And that I'm not an Idiot to have done the grind. But as it's turned out, I'm still an idiot.^^
I built the Sibear 3 years ago, I have a riven & it will remain a farming Excavations on Kiliken pride trash in my inventory...Fantastic! -_-

Let’s be honest, when they came up with this incarnon idea some of the devs were probably thinking “do you think we can punk them twice, and get them to throw even more time, forma and materials into this crap weapon? That would be hilarious!” Worked on me - classic example of throwing good money after bad to justify my original mistake. I even farmed and rolled a few rivens for it over the years. After the whole multi-year punking the result is merely “OK”, but it IS superlative in the sense that it is probably now the weapon with the highest cost-to-payoff ratio in the whole game.

i have like 180k cryotic and i've been feeding it to helminth like its nothing. I don't even remember my max - 300k maybe. It's sad that DE nerfed relic drops from Hieracon, excavation is overall one of the best old-school starchart gamemods

I made my sibear slash weighted and I was using it against grineer enemies without a smite and it was dealing with them no problem
I picked despair and dread and man despair is pretty cracked, dread isn't bad too
evo 4 needs a few fixes, combo on cold sctak hit needs to have the description fixed, and both it and the first attack after primary needs to also get at least 10% base crit chance
Would these stats be balanced out by a high riven disposition? The price was absurd and an obvious typo even when the original event happened.
Cold NEEDS to be buffed or reworked into being good against anything, like why cant it make armor multipliers do way less?
How does this compare to other hammers? I am fond of the Volnus Prime, due to the decent attack speed and higher slash damage.

@@noahedenborg4221 If we use Archon Vitality instead of Umbral one, then Archon Intensify's 30+30% exceeds Umbral's 55%(with fiber). We can use that one due to Orphidian Bite, and again Umbral Fiber drops to 110% and it's just the same with normal fiber mod. Then maybe we should drop all three Umbral mods and use Health Conversion or something else?
Archon Vitality is clearly worth using, but Intensify... If we drop all Umbrals and use Archon Vitality, Intensify and Health Conversion we get 5%p more strength and 618.75 more armour while losing 660 max health. I haven't calculated ehp yet so not sure which is better, gotta work on it...

top 5 melees in the game hands down. just need a riven. dispo is almost max so its a large increase in viability. it hits headshots on demand. and i just freakin love it.
People say a riven with cc but its just as easy as using sacrificial steel+bloodrush and since you use primer for cold procs, you get 12x combo easy, let alone a riven with initial combo for heavies
Should’ve gotten the weapon years ago like I did i thought it had a special property of dealing bonus crit to frozen or cold affected enemies like a baby biting frost effect
Would slotting in a Tennokai mod help make the Heavy attacks more useful, as you can forget about burning the combo to use the heavy attacks and therefore use the crit bonus at rank 4?
Despite Cryotic not being too complicated to farm, this is the hardest item to get in the game.
Unless you luck out on Darvo's Deals and pay relatively NOTHING in plat.

I built this a long time ago. I have long refused to get rid of it solely because it's so damned expensive, and I didn't wanna have to grind it again if they either added something to it or made it the crafting material of something else (think Boltace needing Kronen)

You can also kill enemies with abilities that lift them. For example caliban's sentient wrath kills and lifts enemies simultaneously.
Assuming 2 minutes per excavator, not letting it run out of power or die early, all excavators are triggered immediately after the last finishes, and ignoring mission load times: this is about 50 cryotic per minute. 30,000/50 = 600 minutes, or *TEN HOURS* of non-stop excavation for a single weapon that is mediocre at best.
