Honda Element Swingout Tire Carrier and Drop Down Table

- Maher from Michigan found me on UA-cam and we texted back and forth a bit then he decided to make the drive down to Houston Texas area to have me install a rear tire swingout on his 2007 Honda Element. I haven't worked on a Honda before. They're a bit different than the body on frame construction I'm used to with the Toyota offroad vehicles (4Runner, GX, LX, Land Cruisers etc). He only had a couple of days in the area so I had to hustle through this build.

I recently saw the video of your swing out tire carrier build, and I wanted to ask how did it work out for you and have you had any issues with it. I also have a Honda Element and after seeing the video I'm considering having one built for me.
It’s awesome. I love it. Michigan has a brutal weather, has to remove and retouch the black paint. I wanted to last for along time. Was worth the trip to Texas and meet Steve, he is awesome and knows his stuff.
