I used the Shaper Origin to cut out all the different shapes-but you could also do this with a jigsaw. I just like the convenience of the shaper and I want to learn more about digital fabrication. also: cutting box joints in a couple minutes is pretty awesome!
It looks as if, you mark the cutline with a pencil for the coffee brewer and the round can, and then the Shaper just follows that?! Can it do that, or do you have to make a digital template as well? I would love a small CNC, that cut follow my pencil marks, so that I don't have to use time on digital work.
@@TB_Production_aka_TB_76 You can do both. You can load files into the shaper or use the buildin camera and set the cut lines as Laura did in this video.
I like your new craft tool! Your creativity is always inspiring! 🙏
Is it possible to get the Shaper in Germany already? I am a fan of it first hour, but I do not like importing expensive stuff. Keep up the greaz work! I just got an horse trailet myself, not sure what to make out of it 😂
@@ThinkB4UAct
Don't have a link but I found it on Amazon and several other places search Shaper Origin it run around $2500.00 .
My daughter and I are so stoked by this project! She’s found inspiration from you and other sources to pursue a trade as a welder/machinist/fabricator. We both thank you! Now, I’ll be able to borrow HER tools! ✌️
That is fantastic! Give her a big hug!!
i like to see how much space is dedicated to Coffee, because you know... priorities :-D
Copy on priorities. ☕👍
This is ridiculously satisfying to watch
It's beautiful as a display case, but with space at such a premium, I can't help but be distracted by all the added weight, and all the empty space dedicated to visual presentation.
Me and my daughter love and watch all your stuff, but she keeps asking me why you don't use safety glasses.
That is not only the coolest little kitchen I’ve ever seen. But that is THE Coolest build I ever seen on UA-cam. Great Job !
Smudo wants some Würstchen!🖤
Smudo can have little a Wurstchen, as a treat
Brilliant use of the anchor track, so many possibilities for future ideas, maybe some speakers and/or a tv screen for outdoor movies. If I had done anything different to the case I think I would have ply lined the lid section as well, giving it a durable surface for cooking or other tasks, along with some straps to stop the lid sagging under load. Great to see you found a use for the Gummifusse as well ;0)
It looks brilliant! (Strangely, I’m suddenly hungry for coffee and sausage...). Keep doing what you do!
This is so darned cool! Everything you need in the perfect spot. I love that the Shaper could even cut out the spaces in the foam to hold the Leatherman and lighter!
Everything that you need?
I don't know what your cooking
It's all very style over function
Nice looking video but the end product is not really fit for purpose let's be honest here.
Richard Reynolds I see what you mean, but if it works for her then it’s fine, I think.
Believe this is just the basic components. Obviously she will have other storage elsewhere. Love the cutting board/drawer component. Great to see woman doing this type of work.
"Huh that's clever... oh THAT is clever... DAMN"
Your videos are great. I'm picking up a ton of new techniques. They're always a pleasure to watch.
Really very clever, however you might want to add another support for the lid as it's already twisting and if it were stronger, you'd have a better work surface.
Came to say the same
This is genius, as usual! Impressed with the amount of stuff you manage to squeeze in there.
If it was my camper, I'd definitely forget to take the kitchen off the side and then lose it on the highway on the way back home! :p
Finally, I get to see a channel with a woman doing her own work! This is liberating and changes the pace of things for me.
wow .. this is soo awesome
congrats on Half million subs :))
Awesome as always, love your ideas and the ease that you produce these beautiful things.. practical and aesthetically so pleasing.. pity it’s only one day a week. But always looking forward to see it on Sunday
Besides your amazing work, I liked that digital - high precision saw.
Keep up the great work Laura!
That is awesome! I especially love the cutting board with the hidden stream basket for catching the things you are cutting. 🙌🙌
Really loving this build Laura , the way everything you make is in keeping with the rugged aluminium used look . The picknic cooking box was genius ...and it hooks on the side of the tiny camper ...brilliant 👌👍❤🤗
Great build! I loved dejected look on Smoot's face when he realizes he's not getting any of the meal 😆. Ah the problems of being a loved and pampered pet. Keep up the great work.
I like that, I am in the process of making something very similar out of an old army laycorn box.
you're such a genius! I love all these amazing little details in your builds!!
You broke Doggo’s heart when you said, "No." 😂 Did you get a new machine called, "Shaper?" Very cool how that works.
most picknick baskets burn very well.
Nicely done!! I have always wanted one of these, just never got around to making one. (Didn't know how to tell the truth.) I believe the magazine "Popular Mechanics" had a similar plan back in the '30's or 40's (I like to read old magazines and saw it. I ain't that old!! ) So I will have to try this with a couple of old suitcases that I have!
I love the way you think outside the box to build what was inside the box. Very impressive design and building skills. My mind almost exploded when I saw that router shaper in action.
Brilliant - possibly my favourite episode of the whole series, although all have been brilliant. I was thinking of doing something similar with ammo boxes, simply because they will fit in better but this is 'food' for thought. Enjoy the rest of the day and thanks.
Just discovered your channel... In the process of watching everything... Thats THE COOLEST ROUTER I'VE EVER SEEN
Wow Laura, you have simply blown my mind with your ingenuity, however if I may your tiny cook set can also be used for day trips out to a beautiful country location and to be able to have hot food and drink is always a major PLUS in my book.
Thanks again for another wonderful video about your tiny trailed camper and I very much look forward to the next instalment.
Ich kann zwar auch ganz gut Englisch, aber ich schreibe auch gerne auf Deutsch. Genial was du so produzierst, Respekt!!!! Aber diese mobile Küche schlägt dem Fass den Boden aus. Die musst Du in Serie bauen, ich werde mich melden wenn ich mich sortiert habe.
Great work, I just love some of your space saving ideas.
mounting to the side of the camper is that bit of genius I've come to expect from you! No pressure!
Sehr gut! Ich bin in Koln gewesen. Kolner Dom? Ja, das hat mir gefallen. Es tut mir leid - mein computer hat kein umlaut.
Very cool. Stronger hinges would mean you can use the lid as a cutting board/prep surface while standing up, if you don't wanna sit on the ground
Very imaginative use of a small portable case. The cutting board with slide out tray is super clever. You have inspired me to rethink my camping kitchen.
Super. Woher ist denn der Campingkocher?
Hi Laura, only since we were in South Korea we know how little equipment is needed to make a "top-notch" meal with also very little meat, vegetables and spices. When we camped we fussed far too much, mainly BBQ, roasts and roasted potatoes, all energy foods and in Korea, we pigged out as what they cook is so delicious and were able to stay on our weight. Not a pioneer country like Australia still is, but highly sophisticated and still living traditional - a place you would like!
I realize I am a little late to the show, but this project just shows your amazing imagination and skill set to pull this off. Thats a kit worth marketing!! Great job!!😊
Super build! I like the rail that allows it to be mounted on the outside of the trailer. What is that called? Thanks!
L track :)
Girl, you have nice toys, wow!!!! You did a wonderful job, congratulations!!!!!!!
That router (shaper) is something else, and I love your workshop. I have serious shed envy (because I don't have one). Love your ideas, thanks.
it's been two years but I'm just now seeing this - My only constructive criticism is using the plywood as a cutting board - Next time glue up strips of hard wood with the edge grain up (so it won't warp)
Best video I have seen in months
Hi Laura, I love the creative design and level of precision in all of your builds. 💖
Before someone says something negative about the Shaper... Without creativity even the best tools are dead in the hand. You have a new tool, AND creativity. Thank you for sharing it. It brings me joy.
Best wishes and be safe,
Well said! Thanks!
Took a second to figure out what the "paid" tool was ! Having purchased sixteen of festools setups! Why was I sticker shocked at the 3k 💸💸💸, at checkout when I just ordered the Shaper origin pro model! My banker will be happy later! Thank You Laura! 👴🏻😳😉💸🤣😂🤣
Welcome to the club :))
Love your channel and your style of woodworking watching from
Sackville New Brunswick Canada
Looks great can't wait to see the process, video premieres in 20 mins here.
Apart from the shop skills. Your knife skills are fire too!
I really like your ideas and craftsmanship great job.
I like her precision and those techy tools.
Awesome addition!
Hope Smudo got some treats for being such a good shop assistant.
One of my favourite ever edits of yours. Beautiful video Laura
Fantastic build. Reminds me of putting a pelican case together.
I’ve watched so many of your videos that it’s now instinct to look at the metric part of your table saw ruler.
You are full of amazing ideas Laura and you always surprise me! Espresso coffee for camping! I love you! 👌
Would you consider re-enforcing the lid of the briefcase with a hinge on the right side? It seems a little flimsy as is. Otherwise I'm amazed how you can plan all these things to fit like a puzzle 👍
인크레더블
Wow, I love yet another cool use for the road crate and the cool reusable quick shapper vice thing. When I first saw that tool I thought the tape was the only thing that seemed wasteful, so it’s nice to see the work around. Also I loved the musical track during the build, who dose that your you? Is it yours?
Impressive use of of the power tools 👍
Subscribed 💥💥💥
Laura.
OK - I could put up with all the fancy big name brand stuff you have but now I have envy because of that Shaper Origin. An amazing tool... I want one of those and I haven't done woodworking for over 10 years!!! Stop it.🤣 🤣 Its cruelty to see you do so MUCH with it. Great stuff. Your kitchen leaves out one thing - Company. No big sharing there...🤣🤣🤣
Another awesome project and another great premiere video. Cheers Laura - thanks for sharing and stay safe & well :)
My younger daughter (a keen photographer) has been eyeing up Rimowa camera cases so I told her about this and she spluttered "She made WHAT with it? She turned $1000 case into a KITCHEN!!?" In fairness you can probably pick one up for less than that but she's very fussy ;o)
Most ladies don’t use power tools
Awsum video “;-)” great job
greate project. Thanks for showing
Greetings Sascha
WOW. That’s beautiful work. You make it look so easy. I love the SHAPER. is there a link to buy it? 👏🏾 👏🏾
If I could come and visit you, you could always make me one of your cases to help me get back to the current country I call home. Lol great work, I have something in my shed that might work out as a similar build. I’m just not sure of the quality of the plastic of the case. Might have to find one at a thrift store or Home Depot type store? Now I will have to subscribe to see what other wonders you have done. 🏴🇨🇦🦄
In die Leiste noch n kleinen Tisch zum einhängen wäre cool zum kochen und schnippeln
Kommt noch! :)
Hello Laura, it's a fantastic idea!, As we say in Spain.... YOU ARE THE MILK!😜
Trangia forever 💚
Do yourself a favor and get Trangias propane add-on. I promise, you will never regret it! Adjustable heat and NO sot.
Mine is well over 15 years of use now, still going strong!
Hi Laura,
Good Morning,
Good Work,
U Look Great,
I will soon make a kit and will have it in my 4runner,
Thank YoU,
Nice build. But, this video highlights a major problem I am sure everyone has with this channel. There is never, and I mean never, enough Smudo in any installments!!!!!
I love your practical, no nonsense approach to strong design and fabrication, a real ispiration - love the channel - love the music - love your work 💯
Thousands of dollars of equipment! Plus the shop itself! These type of projects are impossible for the diy er!
You are F-ing amazing! Your work is fabulous, video shoots artist and SO well done. ✋I wish you were my next door neighbor! Have a great time in your little vardo!
American here. Couldn't help but notice the Imperial measure on your table saw, and metric on your folding rule. First off, as an old-school carpenter, I love the folding rule, so big respect for that. I assume you don't use the Imperial measurements on the fence rail?
Oh the way you mount it at the end is excellent!
What is the mounting strip/mechanism called that you used on the outside of the trailer. I've been looking for similar. Thanks, and great vid as always
Awesome job as allways Laura... And I ended up inspired as hell as allways 😎 say hi to Smudo 😍 he is like "this smells good! C'mon I want some too"
Couldn't you negotiate a discount code with Shaper Tools? Maybe 100% 😅
Warning! Over time the thin aluminum of my Trangia base melted by using it like that. Same exact setup - burner below, and the coffee pot set where the burner usually goes.
Oh no! That's just TOO much. Laura can also cut vegetables like a chef?? What can she not do? ;-) 'Great video as always.
Great work. Easy to do by yourself. Just buy some machinery for 100 K and do it yourself. :-)
a simple project is so much easier when you have a wide selection of tools. Unfortunately, most people do not have all of that, but, the same can be assembled.....less elaborately.....with hand and a few power tools. Great project, though. Will you leave it attached to the outside when traveling or take it off and store inside?
Excellant! Now...im looking for a perfect suitcase.
Ahh Yes, The two most important things Coffee and Fire. Aw pore Smodo. Cum on I can' Wait for the biscuits.
Hey Laura it looks great ! What about squeezing in a hipflask or some test tubes around the stove to carry alcohol fuel. ..and a small flint - to use with your multitool. :)
Great as usual, I'm waiting to see the whole camper finished but I already know is going to be spectacular.
Spectacular! Can't wait to see how you finish your trailer.❤
I love when you use your Leatherman in your projects. Keep on the loop!! Great video and music!!!
RESPEKT!
Danke!!
Smart build. Amazing equipment for build.
Question? I was advised not to use plywood as a cutting surface on my Kitchen Island due to the Use of certain chemicals in the bonding process of the layers, (I recall the word Formaldehyde being tossed around). Is this not a concern in your area? would a laminated surface not be a better choice?
Love the build but I love that the German translation for rubber feet is gummifusse. I don't know why that amuses me so much.
So cool. Great video. Clever little kitchen. Mahalo for sharing! : )
Trangia stoves are so good.
Yes, I am very impressed!
GODZILLA in the Back Ground ~??? Ok Your Cool.
Muy bueno y práctico Saludos guapa ❤
