Its funny Nicole felt so out-sung...Kelly Clarkson sung the only cover of Come What May I could even appreciate outside of Nicole’s original. Just goes to show that the chops aren’t all that counts, their chemistry makes that song so powerful 💜
Seeing Moulin Rouge on the big screen back then overwhelmed the senses. I was in college when I saw it, and loved the chemistry of Nicole and Ewan. I was obsessed with this movie and still have it on DVD. I bought the two soundtrack CDs as well. So happy to see this video.
I wish I had seen it on the big screen. Moulin Rouge is one of the few films that are simply made for cinema only but I was only 8 I when it came out.
@@cardhouseanimal same! I think I must have been around 5 when it came out, but I watched it years later and I loved it so so much, and rewatched it many times during my teen years.
I think if they would put it on the cinemas again, many people would go, people who never saw it on cinemas or people who are nostalgic about it.
Yes, bought the 2 soundtracks, met Baz Lurman and he signed my DVD and saw it in the theaters 5 times - LOL. Never been so moved by a movie.
ha its funny cause i saw this at the cinema and i was overwhelmed by the loud music and dancing, its my fav musicical and seeing the theatre show in a few weeks, i still think the movie will be my fav, ewan was just amazing. times flies

Nicole Kidman is such a gem! Beautiful, so talented and full of grace. Amazing protagonist role. Such an astonishing career: Far and Away, Cold Mountain, The Others and the magical Moulin Rouge! She’s such an incredible woman.

The Moulin Rouge appreciation here is just so heart warming .... I loved this film since I first saw it at 8 years old and I'm nearly 28 !!! it will be my fav movie for life. I used to be in plays and in moments where I had to wait for my next part I would fantasise about playing Satine one day

My sister and I were in our late teens when it came out. We had never seen the movie but had the soundtrack for some reason and knew all the music word for word. I only just watched it a few years ago. I just never thought I'd actually like it much even though I loved the music. It was so cool to finally see the movie behind the music and it became one of my favourite movies.

I remember telling my mum I loved this movie at five years old, not knowing what it was about and she loved that I loved it cos it was one of her favourites. I found out in drama class in my fourth year of high school (15-16 year old) what it actually meant after all those years and it is still one of my faves! That's how I came to love Ewan McGregor at five years old! Classic for me :3

"Its yours forever" and i could see it and feel it and it was amazing to watch! 1 of my very first dvd experience with surround sound with my family, it was amazing abck in 2001.
Moulin Rouge forever changed me. And boy Ewan is still just so charming. I was obsessed with the soundtrack for this and still listen to it. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall in the house theyre describing.

I remember coming out of the cinema feeling really happy after this film, though the story ends quite tragic.
They were so intimate on screen but together in real life act like they barely know each other lmao!! They’re both so lovely.
i think they had a lot of onscreen and offscreen chemistry at the time (if you see the behind the scenes footage and outtakes from 20 years ago) but like they said they hadnt seen each other in so long.. such a shame! im always a sucker and want ppl to fall in love during a movie like angelina jolie and brad pitt did LOL
@@IzayaV Definitely. I think they were actually in love back then, but just simply didn't act on it, as they were with somebody else. I remember seeing a behind the scenes video, where Nicole looks at Ewan, and that was look of genuine love and not just a friend/colleague look

I just watched the movie like yesterday night and tonight for the first time finally since I've heard Tango De Roxanne. What a beautiful masterpiece of a movie. A remake would never equivalent to the original.

Im a movie lover and few movies as surprised me in a positive way in theaters like this one and I can still remember every detail, the date, the theater, the company the uau factor, moulin rouge was an unique experience and one I will never forget

Moulin Rouge is one of those films whose significance didn't seem that big upon its release.
But with passage of time its stock has only increased.
Perhaps its format was ahead of its time and people couldn't get the hang of it.
Now the film seems revolutionary in retrospect.
If the film was released now it would sweep the Oscars.
Funny how some actors are afraid of giving a wrong impression while doing some silly things, like Uma Thurman dancing with John Travolta in Pulp Fiction.
Moulin Rouge is MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER, the first time I watched it was in January and have watched it 18 times since! Nicole is one of my biggest role models (in my top 3) and is it bad I kinda have a huge crush on Evan? Lol omg love you two😍😍😍😍
