LOVING YOUR VIDEOS AS ALWAYS, just 1 advice for recording yourself use manual focus as you are sit and keep an f stop around f/2.8 to f/5.6 place an object where you will be sit and then you don't have to move your camera again and the camera focus won't be distracting. just love from this comment I love your comment and you guys made me start in turo buying a Hyunda Elantra GT 2013 in NYC.
It would be really nice if Turo started a host tipping feature. Some host go above and beyond to make renters comfortable/happy.

Can you please elaborate on how to negotiate a car's totalled value payout from Turo and also how to negotiate to keep the car as well for a small percentage of the payout if applicable. I would of course take it off Turo and use it for personal reasons.
Great video, the tip for the OBD port was great. I just started with Turo and have one installed but guest can see it if looking for it. I will go under my dash and see how I can remove itfrom the bracket and re-locate it out of sight.
Can you take a second and link us a good tracking device and how you like them?

On the tracking device, I will go more with Hard Wire trackers, You pay more at front but on the long run they are much cheaper, Bouncie Device cost 89.99 plus a monthly subscription of 9.00, that is a total of 197.99 the first year per car, than every year is 108 per car. I have a Passtime Hard wire and they cost 120 that is a service for 2 years than after two years you can renew for 20 a year that a big saving at the long run,
I agree with that and now using pass-time hard wire with a $120 labor install. That much better than plug OBD port
good stuff. thanx I love they changed power host from 3 months to 12 months.. I make all my money in 5 months of the year here in Alaska.. So I hit power host for half the year; now I will be power host forever!! :)
Maybe All Star host , not power host . It’s 2 big difference, it’s very hard to become power host , even if you meet the criteria, the TURO have to choose you . I haven’t seen even one power host in my area, from over 300 hosts
it use to be to make power host you had to make 3000 3 months consecutively. Now if you make 36k in a calendar year a host gets power host status.
oh and you have to have 4 or more cars on platform that have each completed a trip. If you dont have 4 cars you cant get power host status.
@@matthewthomason715 I have 7 cars and making over 100k a year, definitely more than 3 k every month, for 3 years already. No luck . Still All Star , never changed 🤷🏻♂️

You can get OBD2 splitter also. Hides the trackers even better

If I were to use AAA, would I need to be there if a guest broke down? What if the guest traveled about an hour or so away?
AAA is for you to retrieve the car, not the guest. The guest should use Turo's roadside assistance.
Does AAA work with a commercial service like Aubrey / TURO? I was under the impression that AAA is for personal use

How the heck do u get insurance for $54/m per car when it literally says starting at $89/m on what u showed? Does taking off comprehensive insurance give u some kind of discount that the don't even advertise?
objective numbers say unless you have a fleet of over 10 its NOT a money maker , after interest, Depreciation, expenses not to mention all the time to deal with it.

Hello, I’m currently new with Turo and I’ve been pretty lucky so far with my personal car (Tesla) I’m getting booked about almost everyday so far and I’m looking towards my second car. I would like to ask for some advice on my second car.
With football season coming and I’m a college student who lives on campus, I was thinking of financing a truck around 15-20k for tailgate, utility, and just general driving purposes. Also the places near my college only has about 2-3 trucks charging a ridiculous amount.
Do you see this as a good opportunity to potentially getting on to rent near a college campus? Or should I go for something thats cheaper and gas saving?

I find it strange asking people for 5 star reviews. Feels desperate. If someone has a 5 star experience I believe they will feel the need to leave a 5 star review without influence. It's like those restaurants that ask for reviews for like a free drink.
