My other videos about the drop in quality with SanDisk you can see more trash leaning thoughts. I thought about it and they are mostly from emotions that stem from the lack of integrity of creators not pointing stuff like this out.
Glad you test this thoroughly, love you! I have made several terrible purchases in the past because of those limited review of some well known UA-camrs. I learnt the hard way that many of these UA-camrs are just not honest at all, and money is just above all for them, shame on them!
The wild thing is that V30 has been more than capable of shooting 4K60 on the R6II for me. Literally no point for me to buy V90 cards now other than a faster buffer clear. This just saved me a shitload of money, because I would’ve been pissed buying the SanDisk V90 cards, just for them to be as fast as the cards I already have 😤 thank you!
hi Nikos, i have a canon r6 and i have watched literally all the videos on which sd card to use on the r6… not many i might add… all professional photographers/videographers say is “i use Sandisk” without actually testing them… as you quite rightly say, the r6 and r5 need different cards, sadly everyone seems to imply they are both the same. they aren’t. i’m not a professional photog/videog… i still want the best card for my r6.. thanks for the testing, i won’t be buying Sandisk/WD… no one seems to be testing recently… I’ve watched nearly all your vids by the way… nice work.
It's definitely a pattern I have noticed with many products and the creators. The environment has made it so that mediocrity can thrive with these products. On a positive note, it has given way for companies like Prograde and Angelbird to thrive. I am testing the CFexpress cards from Angelbird as the SanDisk CFexpress is also on not to get.
@@NikosRentas hi Nikos, quick update… i have ordered 2 128gb v90 uhs-ii prograde cards today from Amazon… they should come tomorrow.. for my R6… I’m not a pro, just a hobbyist but after watching your great vids i thought i’d save up and get a couple. 🤞 i hope they unlock all the video features in my camera because the Sandisk ones i had in there are not. Thanks man, i can’t wait to try em.. i’ll let you know how i get along if you’re interested..
@@NikosRentas hi Nikos, yes, the new cards have indeed unlocked more features in the video settings.. i have tried them and they are just as you said.. flawless and fast as hell. i won’t be buying sandisk again anytime soon. the transfer speeds to my m1 pro macbook pro are nearly instant.. as opposed to the Sandisk cards asthmatic performance. thanks again for your insight. much appreciated. great job sir.
Aloha 🤙🏾😎 New to the channel and have been on the edge to pick up 2 of these 256g ProGrade v90 cards, so this was reassuring! We film a lot of golf videos, with the Sony fx3’s and wanted to utilize the 4K 120 Marcel 🤙🏾😎
ive used my lexar 1667x cards with the fx3 4k120 and it seems to record fine, at least in short clips! i wasnt shooting at the highest bitrate, but it is possible to shoot it with v60. just a note!
Hi, This is probably a silly idea, but did you buy the SanDisk card from Amazon by chance? So sorry if you mentioned this in the video and I might have missed it. I'm reading the reviews on Amazon for an Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-II, And some of the one star reviews mentioned that it seems to be a fake product. One of the reviewers said the card from Amazon didn't work, so they returned it and bought the same card from BH photo and it worked perfectly.
I bought a few different ones and had the same thought and tested with camera shop ones. I ended up having the conversation with sandisk to confirm. Glad you ask since reviewers and reviews on amazon aren't doing full due diligence.
Bravo Man! Excellent Tests! I have a Canon 90D and have been researching USH-II cards for recording 4K video. This video was incredibly helpful and I 100% agree with your rant at the end lol! Btw, a little unsolicited constructive criticism, your motion blur looks a little choppy, even for 24fps, and your skin tones look a little on the cool side. I'd set my shutter speed to 1/50" and white balance a little on the warmer side. You've earned my sub regardless and I look forward to watching more of your videos!
Thanks for the comment. Yeah, the Prograde's are the way to go. I picked up the Angelbird CF express cards and I have been impressed with the product and company. If the UHS-II cards were cheaper I would try them out. I ended up going all in with prograde due to the quality and price point. Thanks for the feedback on the video. I shot that on the R6 I just picked up a few months ago. I noticed the choppiness as well. I thought it was just me and I can't figure it out. After your comment I put the R5 and R6 next to each other with the same settings and I am seeing it more vividly. As for the colour, I've been playing around with log 3 and this stupid Spiderx screen calibrator thinking it will help with colouring but I'm always going colder. The spider x made the screen warmer so I'm still trying to calibrate it correctly.
@@NikosRentas Thanks for the reply! That's a very weird phenomenon with the R6. Maybe it's worth doing a video about. Are you recording internally or via the HDMI output? Also, do you use the ProGrade UHS-II card reader as well?
Its internal and I am doing some tests. It isn't on every setting oddly enough. I ended up trading in and getting the Prograde UHS-II Cfexpress type B version (shop.progradedigital.com/collections/workflow-readers/products/prograde-digital-usb-3-1-gen-2-single-slot-cfx-card-reader-pg-05-5) as I use the Angelbird cards for the R5. Sandisk is obviously for gaming gadgets, they are capacity and endurance. You are a pro photographer, you need REAL Pro gear. Not sandisk consummer . Now trusting anyone on the internet, when anyone can press film on a webcam, when we know most humans are idiots and eat animals, with no food scarcity is another discussion.

I have a R6 II and I use the V60 Prograde Cards.. V60 is the perfect median for me and cost less than the V90s

Why are you paying for photographer? To take shots.
During the first kiss or bouquet toss it’s a good moment to shoot in burst.
Also for sports having a larger buffer capability is important.
