10:09 Fun Fact: CD ROM Speed of 1x = 150 KiloBytes per sec. So a speed rating of 1667x = 250,050 KiloBytes per sec. and that would equate to 250.05 MegaBytes per sec.

I had that exact Sandisk Extreme Pro card in my computer right now from when I off loaded the last footage. I've had excellent luck with them.
They are really good - my go-to for most field work.

SD/TF/Flash was made for Camera/Video, these card's were never meant to have thousands and thousand of small files, like they do on SBC's. The constant Read-Write wears them out quicker

You didnt mention the a1 or a2 markings on the cards. What are those ?
Looks like they added another one... didn’t cover that one here we’ll need to explore in a future one.
Those by the way are “application class” and I think refer to a micro SD card’s ability to function in raspberry pi’s, phones, etc. a little harder to measure.

You didn't discuss the "A" rated cards that are (supposedly) better for non-streaming (photo/video) "Application" types of uses, such as in a Raspberry Pi.
Didn't get into that just yet - that's more of a techie thing vs. a consumer thing which was the focus of this video. We'll revisit the topic when we have a decent way of measuring that kind of performance.

I'm having finding a microSD card for a dash cam that is above the 30 from well-known brand there's a couple from something called Pro-Grade and Delkin, but I have no how reliable those cards are. Also do I need to go above v30 if the dash cam is maximum 4k

The SD card I’m getting is new. It has a max of 14.5 hours. When I hit that max, what do I do. Do I upload it then edit it and will I erase all footage and will the card go back to 14.5 hours capacity again. Please explain. And how do I get all of the capacity back?
SDXC came in 2009 so almost anything in use should support it. The Cheap Canon Ixus 105 which I bought in 2010 supported SDXC. That reader should not be your primary reader on UHS-I Sandisk cards. They have another that is faster on UHS-I. The circle is actually a C for Class. Actually you do no need to do mathematics as all cameras list the required cards in their manuals.
But does any of these symbols matter if the card is just for a tablet/phone if just used mainly as storage?
I'm purchasing a sony HDR-TGv5 video camcorder that records in AVCHD video quality. Should I buy a card that reads in 4mb per second?
I bought a zve10 couple weeks ago and i have been using it with a 10usd sandisk sdhc I 10. I dind't have any trouble while shooting bursts at 11fps but today started to take like 10 or 15 seconds to save a burst.
Should i get a better card or is it a camera problem?
I would look at the v rating on the card to see what its write speed is.
Something worth noting for people looking for an SD card for a Nintendo switch specifically: the speed of the card will make little to no impact when it comes to load times in games

Yea they claim higher R W speeds than what they are rated that being said which USB version does your laptop support 2.0 or 3.0 because that is a separate factor itself when trying to benchmark an SD card

What makes a car high endurance? Why are they different? Manufacture quality or are they a different design?
I believe they over-provision the memory so it can sustain more writes given the capacity. It has more 'spare cells' that come online when others fail.

The old computers in the background make it seems like the videos are being made from a dusty closet at a high school where they keep the old dinosaurs from the 1980's.

That’s a good question - best advice I can give on that is to avoid third party sellers on major sales platforms

I'd definitely avoid ebay as well it's full of fake SD cards. It often comes down to price; if the card seems really cheap compared to msrp, there's probably a catch.
Im sure the info you dpoke about is helpful to people who are computer smart. Fot a computer dummy i could use beginners cours on memory cards. Without a badic understanding this is sounding like chinese to me. Ya should probably start off by saying this is not for dummies.

So why isn’t your Sony card rated V90? These ratings are pretty useless for helping consumers choose. All should be replaced by a single sustained write speed figure, under some standardised measurement.
Because Sony does not guarantee such speed. The measure he did is not the standard used. The numbers actually are important. The fact that you do not understand them is not relevant.
Just get a 64 GB or larger UHS-I U3 V30 card and you are good for most cases including 4K.
Alright....phones only having like 128 gb of space or less MAKE NO SENSE!!! And now the new samsungs dont have a port for sd cards anymore. Its the dumbest decision they have ever made. They say just use the cloud....no...just give it more memory because its insanly easy. These cards are so small and 128 tb?!? Damn! Thats only like 100+ times more than a phone has. No sense! Sry venting i guess haha
